When you think that you're lucky all day long. That's a common mistake and we've been dealing with that every time we're winning. We think that we're immortals and we're never going to lose any money when we feel that we're lucky the entire time we gamble. But, that's also the time that we're about to everything. So upon having that moment of conviction that you're having the whole day winning all of those dices, sportsbets, and all other games, you're believing in a lie of your own.

I have been into that stage where I think I am actually more lucky that day that I end up betting a huge amount in a casino without hesitation. At first, I won at a consistent basis, but eventually when my profits are growing, that’s when I start losing them slowly. Until I lose all my winnings in gambling including my small amount of capital. That’s when I realized that no matter how lucky you are, the house has always an edge, and there’s nothing we can do to beat that.

I give that an amen, basically everything in a casino is based on that, on being lucky enough to make more money, but there is the possibility that when you have won a lot of money, one must be an intelligent player and withdraw it, feel that money, enjoy it and everything is good for those people, so that the money left in the casino is the little that is needed to play, because if you lose as a player it says that at least you didn't lose everything, then Since the house advantage is what always wins, every time we play and we are on a roll and it runs out, we have to be smart and get that money quickly, because if we risk it it is very likely that we will lose it.

For those who insist on playing and increasing their balance, they do not have many chances of achieving it, so those types of things are what we must always consider, in a casino we must be very mature, because what is always at risk is money.

I see that many people tell their stories about how they stole money from their parents, unfortunately, I also had one time where I stole some money from my stepfather.

Maybe I wasn’t the only one that stole money from my parent when I was still small, I never took money from my father, but I always steal from my mother, but I don’t gamble with the money, I didn’t know about gambling early, am sure if I did, i will have been wasting money on gambling, but I was spending the money which I stole from my mother lavishly with my friends, but I got to a level which I knew what I was doing was completely wrong, and I just have to stop the crazy behavior. I stared gambling when I was admitted into the university, I was already matured then, and I knew what was bad for me, so I gambled just with little amount, I never gambled beyond my limit.

We've all screwed up in our younger years.  I did some dumb stuff I regret too.  Swiping cash from your mom definitely wasn't okay, even as a kid.  Kudos for recognizing that and quitting.  I don't recall ever stealing from my folks directly.  But I fabricated random fees for stuff at school a few times to pocket some extra dough and  spent it on useless crap.  We live and learn.  At least you realized your mistake early on.  Many dont until it's too late. 

So many dump stuffs we might have done in the past but it's exciting when we remember those days when we think that we are doing the right thing but not knowing we are on the wrong track. Gambling in school was more of fun and everything we almost manually. We bet and also try to cheat then but when we were caught we just laugh at it and make things right. Life was more of fun compared to now that everything is digital. The fun is not there now and we need to keep going since the little ones are already in the jet world where they get what they want and when they want it.

I’ve never done anything particularly shameful regarding gambling in my life. I made some stupid, relatively large bets when I was younger, losing bets I must add. Nothing that I am ashamed of though really.

Just remember to learn from your mistakes, that goes for all areas of life, not just gambling.

The only form of gambling I did when I was a kid wasn't of monetary kind. It was more of bragging rights that's why I don't classify it as gambling. My parents wouldn't allow for such so I know better than to get indulged in such activities. It was only till a few years ago, say the last decade that I got involved.  It was not a case of wrong place, wrong time  but it was well worth it because that's when I learnt what taking risks felt like. Risk taking is vital when it's not irrational because scared money makes no money.

That said, you should stop beating yourself up about it. One way or another, you would've still been exposed to gambling.

Well, a lot of my friends during the pandemic until 2021 introduced me to online gambling, and not only will we gamble simultaneously, we'll also play with the intent of becoming the top guy who gets the most prizes, as we have a different leaderboard with its dedicated bragging rights and prize pool in there as well. So think of it as competitive gambling among friends.

Eventually by trying to outdo everyone else and win the top of the leaderboards since one thing about me is that I am a very competitive player and as much as possible I will always do everything in my power if it means I can secure a win for myself, I not only managed to dry up my bankroll, but I also harbored gambling addiction while my friends think of it as nothing but our own little way to stay connected and social even when we can't meet in person. It got to a point where I had to quit gambling for a long while and actually rehabilitate myself which luckily worked out for the better.

Not remotely stupid or crazy but is certainly up there. if I do say so myself.

Gamble and ensure you're winning, because a gambler that's able to showcase evidence, it means your winning ratio have surpassed your loss. Always a good idea to be among the top sides, never holding down but keen on bringing on the solid long runs in the system. We all have stories to tell when it involves gambling. I know how stupid and selfish I was then when it involves gambling, I was never in any good position but each time I see my friends placing wagers, I thought much to gamble because it was never a clear idea for me to be left out.

The worst bets when you are a kid are dares to take risks, this story doesnt involve me but I know others did bets or dares where you win if you complete the challenge.   The worst challenge was to zipline down a live electric cable, from a railway bridge you could jump on and get down to the ground.  One person jumped on with a metal watch on his wrist, it doesn't work out well for him and he got electrical burns.   Thats the worst kind of gambling, with money all that can happen is you go broke but amazingly there is worse behavior where people risk there lives for a bet, common in drag racing with cars also often deaths can occur.

Ever since I always do this kind of crazy bet, because I really think that gambling is going to end up losing so your not really going to get lucky every time, but if you are just starting to bet I always just do it all in one bet because I might be lucky or I might lose it, If I win the bet then that's easily going to be a no brainer Im going to cashout after that win because I dont want to keep on gambling because I'm just going to end up losing my money If I stay gambling after that bet. Then if I lose the first bet that could easily be a loss but at least I didn't waste my time on it, If I'm going to lose then I lose.

I barely do it anymore since I mostly do sport betting, It wasn't going to be a good strategy for the most part because one loss of that bet you would be out already, which just means that your not gonna be able to recover anymore after losing that bet, so I mostly do 10$ bets win a good profit reward around x3 of it, So i guess it's a low-risk bet with a higher return, Not bad in my opinion so far I'm able to grow my balance on gambling, most of the time I would just start to 40$ but after a month of betting on NBA games I could easily get around 400$-600$, Could even be higher if Im getting lucky on combo bets which could give higher multiplier reward.

A lot of crazy stories and memories of childhood and school times. We used to bunk classes to do a lot of things, we didn't use to play cards or any specific gambling game, but I remember playing pool with my cousins and we used to bet on the games sometimes. It used to be just for fun and not for the gains because we just used to bet with our pocket money which used to be a small amount just for food and snacks that you could buy and eat at school.

When you are at that age, you do all sorts of things to enjoy your time, but sometimes, doing those things can affect your studies and other things. So as you said, I would never recommend younger generations to do the same thing because education is extremely important.

Am I the only one having a different interpretation of the part I bolded? Like what do you mean by selling cigarettes at that age? Well, I know we all did some naughty stuffs during our childhood days but this got me curious. I remember skipping school several times just to play around and end up receiving beating but funny enough, I will still repeat it again and again. One of the crazy things I have done just to bet was trekking 5km far to place my bet in one of the offline shops. On a normal day, I won't trek that distance even if I am been offer money to do it but behold, I did it for gambling. What hurt me more is when I discovered the ticket got bursted even before I return back to house. I slept until evening time to regain my senses. Those childhood experiences were very crazy and funny but glad we learned and realized our mistakes. At least, we can tell when our kids are making same mistakes and caution them in time.

I haven't experienced this kind of situation where I need to skip classes to place a bet with my friends. This is the only thing I always try to avoid to at least make myself be responsible when it comes to my studies. I don't think I would be able to finish college if I did this kind of activity while studying.

The only thing I can experience is every time my relatives gather, we often gamble together, and our favorite game is the lucky 9 and in-between. That's the only thing I consider a crazy bet as we gather to have a vacation together and gamble at the same time.

We usually do this on our school gymnasium during our P.E(Physical Education) when we have sports subject that time. We usually made bet against other section that has same subject with us on same period.

My teacher doesn’t have any idea that the class matches between 2 section has a money bet on it that’s why the game is too physical even though it’s just an exhibition match just for fun. I’m facilitating the bet that’s why I almost got kick out in the school after my teacher found out. What a story! I am glad that you are now an adult and you can be smarter when you are parenting your children. It will be easier since nothing children can do now that we've not probably done during our time. Though we are not proud of most, nevertheless, the experience is there, and in my case, it made me wiser and smarter. We all have our stories, and for mine, mostly, it is my friends that did those rubbish things, I could only be informed of some and fully aware of the others in most cases, but I do not follow suit. I always have this conscience then, so I try as much as possible to stay away from trouble, especially those things that are only worthy to be done by adults.

However, the thing I knew I did worst was when I was an adult and it was my sole decision. It wasted so much money even as I lied to my parents to collect huge amounts of money to achieve it, but it never affected my academics, and that was trading. Mehn, I wasted enough money in trading to the point that when I flashback, I regret my action. Nevertheless, it is now a mixed feeling because I have made way more in trading now. And if I did not follow that dangerous path then, I would not be calling trading as one of my income sources today. For this, mine is still positively impactful.

Nobody is given a 'how not to get addicted to gambling' instruction from birth. We humans are wired for excites and risks. It gets messy when hidden. That's when chaos ensues. We've all made bad decisions and followed a bad feeling

Parents? Their suffering is real. Quite difficult. You don't want to crush their soul, but you need advice, right? That's the continual balance. Yeah, oversight matters, but it's bigger. Open communication and trust are what kids need to admit mistakes and get help
Here, gambling isn't evil. Know the bounds between entertaining and problematic. It's like a calculated risk with a backup plan. Parents, teachers, give you the tools to pull back from the edge. You must be willing to use those tools
