I don't think he's sad, sharing his experience doesn't mean he's, i might be wrong but i think so cause i read where he said that "it's okay and he has supported his countryman despite the lose". Yeah you might be right though. There will always be another game to place a wager on, but I believe that's also the tricky part about gambling.
