New suggestion for next LMS: elimination is lowest points above 0 (meaning to say the 2 lowest scores). Or possibly, if you get 2nd lowest score twice, you're also out. Or at least implement it in early stages. That would require people to get more than just 1 correct. Knee-jerk suggestion on one LMS sample, so could be a bad suggestion. Maybe if we did this again, results would be different a second time around.
Yeah, agreed. We didn't really know how many people we would have and we had the shittiest of luck with 1 or 2 laggards in each round.
I did think the final stage would be reached by 10 or so, so I miscalculated it. We'll try it like this in first BSFL season, it's 15 rounds after all and that should help to reduce the number of finalists.
If it will be the same we'll implement some sort of method for next season that kicks more people out per round

Something along the line like minimum point to survive on each round. Could start on 0 on 1-2 early rounds then increase it to 2-4. This would also increase the free bets amount for the final because most people would get knocked out probably leaving less than 15 players for the finals

You're right, this way you close the gap between teams like igebotz, who is currently more than 10 points behind the guy who is currently second on the table, who will still share the same $30 freebets with me at the end of the tournament. I could choose not to enter my final answers and still receive the same benefits as everyone else. It's a new model, but I feel that over time, the loopholes will be closed and incentives will be given depending on efforts/ranks.

I would like clarification regarding the last question, regarding calculating the defenders’ contribution, is it really 90 minutes, meaning if the player changes in the 89th minute and comes out with a clean sheet, does it count or not?

No, EURO is played on way lesser goals on average so we can't give contributions for 60 minutes. He has to play 90 and have a clean sheet for the contribution to be valid, or he can play 2 minutes if he scores or assists in that period - then his clean sheet is irrelevant.
You can use VAR before the deadline and change your answer if you want to.

Last Man Standing was maybe a bad name for the competition, but it was intended to be won by the guy with most points. We might test the 'real' Last Man Standing that will reward only the 1 guy that survives it all. Let us think about it a bit and see what we come up with - but the current rules are better for the competition because more people have a chance of winning.
For the sponsors it's really shitty if after 30% of the competition you have 70% of people disqualified, the competition then loses broad interest and it's hard to negotiate for the next one.
I know it might sound funny but it matters how much we discuss in the threads. That's why nobody really has any interest of sponsoring Superbru anymore and we have big budgets for BSFL 3-4 times per year.
