Congratulations to Manchester City,  for once I almost taught  they weren't going to make it past the group stage, their performances was brilliant and with some epic moves,  they got to victory from a goal down to winning by three goals in the end.  They actually can make I pass the knockout stage because I'm believing they aren't going to find it difficult with the team they will be playing against.

Yeah, it looks like Man City are slowly getting back to performing at the expected level after that horrible period of dip in the form when they only won one out of the 13 games.
The first half in today's game could be of some concern as they conceded a goal and couldn't make a single shot on target, but they put themselves back together and pushed harder in the 2nd half and it paid off. After all, it's the result, not style that matters.

Play-offs won't be easy for them though, as there are no weak teams in the seeded zone (9 to 16 in the table), maybe except Borussia, who isn't doing very well in the Bundesliga recently.

Pep Guardiola knows enough about what his team needs to do a good job and win tonight's match. Manchester City's success in advancing to the play-offs certainly extends their hopes of continuing to survive in the Champions League, although it is not easy but slowly they are starting to show a level of play in a better direction than before. Yes, in the play-offs later Manchester City must also be able to get past the obstacles of some of the other best teams and the average team in the play-offs also cannot be underestimated because they can also pose a threat at any time. But I'm sure Manchester City will be able to step into the knockout phase.

However, since Aston Villa was able to beat Bayern Munich, that was quite big, but I doubt that Aston Villa would be able to beat Bayern Munich repeatedly.

Of the three Premier League representatives who managed to finish in the top 8 of the standings, only Liverpool, in my opinion, can be trusted to move further in the knockout stages, based on the reputation of Arsenal and Aston Villa not being highly regarded. Manchester City who finished in 22nd place in my opinion are more considered by many parties going forward, they have more complete attributes to talk a lot when compared to Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The change in the match format has made the Champions League atmosphere very different from previous seasons, the competition in the League Phase looks very entertaining and also difficult to predict. Several teams that were previously favored to qualify for the last 16 easily, actually had to go through the play-off route. Aston Villa is a very lucky team to finish in 8th place. The competition in the last 16 and beyond in my opinion will not be much different from last season, the more experienced teams seem to be dominating the competition for the trophy again.

I would agree that Arsenal has gotten some lucrative chances in the past which they blew up, we won't be surprised if it happens again this time.
• For Aston Villa being lucky, I don't think it's the best adjective to describe them this season in the champions league. It wasn't a matter of luck. Those guys have been at the top spot of the champions league table for some weeks. They enjoyed the top, slide off and later found their way back to the top 8. It was hard work and not luck.

I love how everyone is talking about the top teams doing this and that, what surprises might be since the score is not what one could expect but somehow, everyone is ignoring AC Milan doing the most Milanese thing ever and managing to play in 10 and losing to Dinamo Zagreb, which at this point means Zagreb grabs the last qualifying position.

Dinamo Zagreb were eliminated despite winning. There were 4 teams with 11 points, three of them continued on their way and Dinamo Zagreb was the only team to be eliminated. This is very sad for them. Even though they beat Salzburg and Slovan Bratislava away and AC Milan at home, it wasn't enough. Because they lost 9-2 to Real Madrid in the first game and this bad average was their undoing. Actually, they were doing well against Real Madrid in that game, from 3-0 to 3-2 and they almost scored the third goal, but then they unraveled and conceded 9 goals. A bad average in one game affected the whole standings. This was also an experience. We are seeing the effects of the new format here.

Club Brugge are making this qualification for Manchester City very hard for them and thats why the Citizens are now desperate to get at least a goal. This 1nil lead by Club Brugge has disorganized the way City play, if nothing is done and Club Brugge get another goal then it will be hard for Pep Guardiola's men to get back into this game. Can Manchester City get something in this game already? What do they need to do to survive this problem they are facing?🤔

Manchester city Just equalized and also have been able to make it 2-1, Club Brugge initially where very defensive and attacking at first but the pressure from Manchester city after scoring that first goal have been intensified thereby making Club Brugge to fall back. I hope they maintain this lead or score more goals just to be on the safe side, else if they allow Brugge to equalize them, then there champions hope will be shattered. Guardiola is known for always dominating a game from the beginning to the end, but this comeback set of games
i have been seeing lately is not really his thing.

One thing about Club Brugge is that they are not clinical in front of goal and before they could make a counter you see them making like 1 or 2 mistakes before getting into City's half, if they take their time to play against City starting from the beginning of the second half I don't think Man City would have gotten that equalizer in that encounter because they were still playing under pressure but let's say they were lucky to have faced a very poor attacking side. From the way City played tonight I don't see them getting anything on Sunday against the Gunners, is going to be a very tight game and even stronger for City than this very game against Club Brugge but it will all end in favor of the Gunners.

Yeah, after all the hard work, they had to still find their way out, don’t think they didn’t see this coming though. The AC Milan red card ensured the win for them and they leveraged it well to their advantage. Too bad it’s all going to amount to nothing. At least, they could count their last victory in the UCL for the season.

Liverpool was the game I had hoped they would by some means get a win. Gakpo just directed his penalty right to the goal and unfortunately for them, they couldn’t hold the win through the first half. Lost their chance for a win and there was no coming back. The turn of events was swift and binding.

As much as I hate City, I wouldn't want to see them leave at the group stage. And when Club Brugge scored at halftime, I thought to myself, that's it, they were gone but somehow they fought their way back into the game and won. It wasn't a satisfying performance to be honest but glad they got the job done. This is their second comeback after Chelsea at the weekend, which is good for their morale and I hope they keep getting better because it's going to get tougher during the knock out stages.

By the way, I do not think that the clubs that have taken the coveted seeded places will be very pleased that Manchester City, on the contrary, did not get into this number of favorites and may come across as rivals to them ) With all the problems that Pep Guardiola and his players are experiencing this season, I still think the team is already recovering from the crisis and will be a very serious force, even a contender for the final victory in the Champions League. I was switching between many games at one time, but I did not miss Ethan Nwaneri's goal!

Very Saka-like and a confidence booster; now I am thinking that Arteta will seriously consider him to start on Sunday against Manchester City.

Good record for us in the CL so far; we need to maintain that record going further.

I have never stopped being a fan after he made his PL debut against Brentford few years back at age 15. How time flies to see a young gem becoming another top talent that the club has produced. Good left foot, and already plays two different positions in a very interesting way that not all top players can even do. We saw a typical saka's goal tonight, as Nwaneri curved it with his brilliant left foot. Another gem(Lewis Skelly) also came on in the game. I think the playing time that they've been getting so far has done enough in boosting their confidence (especially lewis Skelly). Can't wait to see these young lads in the coming City game, where City might also start their own young star. Interesting game lies ahead.

And, so far, i think Arsenal did a great job in the UCL even when the Season is quite below their usual performance. Third place isn't bad at all, but from the draws that will happen on Friday, they will likely face one of Feynoord, Juve, AC Milan or another team. I need to reenforce the team for the remaining part of the season.

Premier League teams always do better in group stage games but start failing after that round, lol. That respect should be given to La Liga teams because they are the ones that delivers when it matters the most, it has been proven over time. This is the reason bookies give quite high odds on Liverpool because Liverpool is likely to lose this match and initially I was tempted to bet on Liverpool but fortunately I decided not to bet on the Liverpool match, both teams have been attacking each other since the first half initially Liverpool took the lead but PSV replied in the final minutes of the first half and finally ended the first half with 3:2.

Fact is that Dinube Zagreb is out of competition is very surprising especially since they won against strong teams like Salzburg and Slovan Bratislava and AC Milan. Man City really showed their class, they managed to make a comeback and ensure a place in the Play-off round. Guardiola face was slightly saved after the victory, but big challenges still faced them.
The Play-off round still carries out a drawing, but there are only two choices available, facing team A or team B. Man City potential opponents in the play-off round are likely Real Madrid or Munich, clearly this is not good news for City because they will face a team that appeared dominant in the UCL.

I don't bet in this match because I already know Liverpool will play with their second lineup, which is hard to predict when we don't see how good is the second lineup. Bookies was right, they have better analysis to conclude PSV will beat Liverpool.

I believe the red card happened at the 87th-minute mark. I don't think it affects the match significantly. They have enough time to chase another goal if they want to draw the match. If anything PSV could've scored another goal or two after the red card. It's a terrible debut for Nallo, hopefully, he learn from this and play better whenever there's a chance for him to do so.

I don't think that's correct. Pretty sure Liverpool will face either PSG, Benfica, Monaco, or Brest in the knockout round[1]. CMIIW.
