It is quite ironic that this season we see these two giant teams competing just to win a seat in the Round of 16. One of them must be eliminated early in this play-off round. And yes, this is a condition that has rarely occurred in the last few seasons. It seems that the new format really brings quite a clear difference in results. This match is going to be a tough one for both teams, despite the condition of Manchester City I still don't underestimate them in this match because they are full of surprises. They have beaten Sporting three out of four times they played each other which means they might feel more confident going into game. I love that oddmakers have given Sporting that much odds, we see 2.27 here, but I have seen as high as 2.40 in some places if you check all the places. That is insanely good because I honestly believe that Sporting is the better team. While I could be wrong, and teams could of course lose to anyone, this 2.40 odds is amazing. Just yesterday we have seen Plymouth, with odds ranging from 11.00 to as high as 14.00 in some places, ended up beating Liverpool, who had 1.20 or so odds.

However we need to remember that in this case, Sporting is the favourites with the same 2.30 odds, and that should be very important for us, not many times in football world you get to see a team with 2.30 odds. I am going to bet on it without a doubt, and hope that it gets well on the long run. Doesn't mean that it would be hard for Sporting neither, look at how terrible Dortmund has been this season, we could assume that things could get a lot better without a doubt.
