After loss to Spain today Greece already is in complicated situation. They now have to beat Australia in last round and it can be not enough to reach 1/4 final. Gianis is carrying his team alone and isn't getting much help from his teammates. And you can't blame him for that missed 3-pointer in the end. He was open, there wasn't much time remaining, so, he had to shoot.

They should've given more playing time to Thanasis so he can help his brother.

Kidding aside, it's kind of surprising for me to see the Spain winning against a team like Greece. I guess this is what the NBA analysts are saying with regards to other countries starting to cope up against them. They always say that they aren't anywhere near to them, and this is one proof. One NBA superstar isn't enough for the whole team to win since it's a 5v5 and 1v1. As for the Greece defeating Australia, there's a slim chance but let's also take note that the Boomers are also stacked up with some NBA players as well.

I don't understand the rules of the game. Do they not have a challenge like the NBA? Because if they do, they could have challenged that shot, it would be reviewed, and for sure they couldn't deny it once they see the slow-mo. Japan could have won at least 1 game after that, but it was denied to them, so I think they'll end up their journey winless.

While I as well do watch many of these games, it doesn't even make sense because it looks like USA is just on another level. They are really not playing with same level of talent, it's like NBA superstars versus NCAA level players at college.

I think European players and teams are usually very good, but these days most of them go to NBA as well and do not play European type of basketball neither, maybe Jokic does, but look at what Giannis does, that's not European at all, that's all American.

At the end of the day, you can't beat them on their own game neither, you need to play with certain plays and take time and slow the game down, that way USA will lose their focus on defense when it takes 20 seconds of running around, and they won't defend very well every single possession when that happens, and on offense they will have to playmake, instead of transition offense.

But many teams are playing fast pace these days, and you can never beat USA on that, they are not only far superior on talent, but they are far superior on athletic department as well, they are just totally physically different. That is why I think USA will not face anyone who would be even remotely close and easily win this gold.

It was very close game though till the last 5 minutes of the game when Canada really play defense against the Aussie and stop them from scoring. I will say that RJ Barrett is the one that really seal the win for them and obviously, SGA as well.

What a game that was indeed! It could be the most enjoyable game I have watched in the Olympics so far.    I really admire Japan players' ambition honestly. Kawamura (29 points) and Hachimura (24 points) played their best games in their Olymics career I assume. Wembanyama made difference for France with a double-double. This time I didn't see Batum playing good enough.

Carrying the game to OT despite the loss is still an admirable work by Japan. Good work. In the end, France are one of top title favourites (even though we all know USA are at another level).

Thank you, it was a sweet win by the Canadians, yes, was very closed in the first half, but Canadian knows how to play defense. I do agree with the result of the Japan against France, I didn't on it because I know that France is going to win by double digits and just like the majority here, did not watch as we don't think it will be interesting. But guess what, it's no longer the exhibition match and so Japan trying to win an Olympic game.

Puerto Rico vs Serbia, I'll go with with Jokic over 6.5 assists with @1.75. And then under 21.5 points @1.82.

I don't know if you guys wait to watch the game or it is really late in your time zone. But this game, I'll probably can watch this game for my time zone and enjoy and see how my bets will do this time. Good luck to all bettors.

Canada vs Australia in the next 40 minutes or so. This is going to be very hard to predict as both them are very tough. Canada has almost all NBA players, and they have SGA and Murray. While Australia has Giddey, Patty Mills, Josh Green, Joe Ingles and Matthew Dellavedova.

Canada is a huge 1.40 ML, while Australia 3.05.

So it's obvious that Canada is the favorite here to win, -5.5 @1.87 is very attractive bet to me and I will go in this handicap.

I just went against the majority of you here. I got the moneyline for Australia at x3 odds, as I found it very hard to resist. I know Canada has more NBA players than Australia, but I see the line giving me a discount, so I had to grab it. I just placed $50 to win $100 on this game, and so far, I'm seeing some positive signs that this will not go down the drain.

In the first half, it looked so positive, but in the second half, Australia stopped scoring, especially in the fourth quarter when Canada had a strong run while they only scored 2 points. Canada was the better team, and they have now qualified for the quarterfinals.

Ohhh yes, I was quite excited at the beginning as I thought Australia was a real deal to beat the Canada. Unfortunately, when Canada made an adjustment, they weren't able to respond. That's how he game goes, sometimes you're right sometimes you're wrong, so I accepted that as I still have my bankroll balance that I could use in the upcoming games.

Anyway, there's still one game later. Which team will you choose? It's Japan +16.5 vs. France -16.5. I think France will cover this spread.

I'm glad I didn't read this as it might reminded me to bet on that game, and I also believe that France are gonna dominate Japan but it was a different scenario that happen, good thing I didn't made another bet after my losing bet.

Puerto Rico just fell apart in the second half, they were ahead by 6 or something at halftime. This game was far from a destruction, trust me.
About USA vs South Sudan, they still shouldn't take this game too serious. Yesterday I saw an interesting stat line. Actually for the whole match, while Jokic was on the field, this game was 82:82 but with Jokic on the bench they were like 29:3 or something similar.
South Sudan doesn't just depend on 1 single player so let's see how this turns out. +29.5 is definitely worth trying in my opinion. Of course it might also be that team USA wants to set a statement win and show their test match was just a fluke.

That friendly game with USA before Olympics showed that you have to look seriously at South Sudan. I want to see close game here, but probably nobody wouldn't be surprised much if USA will blew them by 20-30 points, they probably don't want that game would be decided by one buzzer-beater again.
In other game Serbia brutally destroyed Puerto Rico 107:66, game outcome was clear already after 1st quarter.

Mad respect for them and that's a fascinating fact. After their practice game against USA the last time, this made headlines over the internet. And a lot of articles has came out praising them after getting toe-to-toe against the super USA team.

Although they're still a new country, but something like this has really got the world struck. I won't be surprised if after the Olympics and whatever their outcome throughout this journey, there will be a lot of sponsors to build indoor basketball courts for them. As for the spread, it's not available on stake as the betting for their match against USA is suspended.

If you've watched how Japan played against France, as a bettor you will surely bet on them against Brazil. I mean when the France fought against Brazil, it wasn't a close one, but against Japan, it went to overtime. Nevertheless, I also think that Japan will win on this one against Brazil, but it isn't enough for them to clinch... I guess.

Now with regards to Greece and Australia, it's a huge risk from the bettor's perspective to put a bet against Greece. I mean the Boomers are stronger than Spain just by looking on their roster. One problem also with Greece is that they don't have Thanasis who can help his brother. Kidding aside, Giannis scored 27 points in their last match, but the other 4 starters are combined for only 27 points also. If they want to win, they need to help Giannis on offense. Same here, Canada have a lot of NBA players, however, if we compare to the roster of the team USA, canada look like a class B players, so they can't beat team USA.
