Serbia are already ahead by 46-38 now and it is halftime. I was also thinking Serbia would win but didn't bet on them. If this wasn't Olympics then teams might have played more comfortably for the 3rd place game. However there is bronze medal waiting for its owner here. So both teams are playing like it is a final game. 

Micic - Jokic have been a good duo in the game so far. Serbia played the first quarter really well. I don't expect Germany to give up easily but I think Serbia will be the winner at the end anyway. I also think they deserve the medal more.

They showed they are the next best to the USA. However, we should still wait for the outcome of the gold medal match. France is currently the heavy underdog with a +16.5 handicap. Imagine that---the host team getting such a large number of points. I think this could be a good chance for easy money. I’m thinking this wouldn’t be an easy win for the USA due to a possible manipulation of calls. Sorry about how I think.

We'll see about that. This is the last game of the tournament, so I expect it to be highly physical. If I'm not sure the team I'm betting on will cover the spread, I might just consider betting on the under for the total points.

Serbia almost snatch the game against Team USA. I would recognize that and thus, I am a fan of Jokic so that's a pretty easy question for me. Good luck to everyone who is for Germany but I am for Serbia. Cast your bets, odds may not be a lot for Serbia but that's fine by me.

I was able to bet on Serbia at 1.70 ML here, less than a hour before the game itself. Germany is good but I guess Jokic will want to have a medal in this Olympics and I think they have the size advantage against Germany here.

Still a good bet in my opinion, and so with that I also added -3.5 for them @2.03. It might be a close fight, but in the end, Serbia is going to put up a solid scoring here, maybe Jokic close to triple double.

Serbia did it, congrats!    They were just too good. They captured a 10-point advantage in the 1st quarter already. They maintained it nearly at the end of every quarter. Germany couldn't even get near them.

A well-deserved bronze medal. I wish they were able to do more but it was just too difficult to stop USA. If Curry didn't play that well, we were going to see Serbia in the finale most probably.

Clearly, Bookies don't think France men's team can match up to USA team. I think the team that measures close to USA men's team is really Serbia and they lost. I'm tempted to take France ML bet as well seeing that USA team is not so solid as we thought (Serbia showed this). If you know where to push, you can really stretch them thin.

Still, it's a long shot. I don't know about USA women too since I haven't seen them play.

Battle for the Bronze, who you got? Germany vs Serbia.

This is also another good battle for the 3rd spot, both looks tired from their last game specially Serbia as it was such a tough lost for them as they are leading almost the entirety of the game only for the USA to mount a great comeback and win.

So I might go against the popular opinion here, I'll go with ML for Germany.

Both teams are very strong and I think they have a chance to win a medal. It is very difficult to say that Serbia or Germany will win just by looking at the players in the squad, both teams are tired. I think Serbia has a better chance of winning, they had a great performance against America and were ahead until the end of the match. But they were very tired during that match and the morale of the players dropped considerably. Therefore, it is very difficult to make an accurate prediction

While I do agree that both teams are strong, I find Serbia to be a little bit better if you ask me. I mean they looked like they almost beat USA, which should be a lot better, whereas Germany had hard time against France, a team that is much inferior to USA, and they still lost.

So, I think that we are going to end up with something that will take a while, it is not going to be that easy and we are going to end up with something that is not going to be quick neither so this game needs to be played out and we are going to see who wins. If I am forced to bet on this, I would say that we are going to see Serbia win and Germany lose, that is what I imagine will happen and the games looked like that so far as well.

I also think that France will not be even remotely an issue for USA neither, it looks like we are going to see USA have an easier finals than semi finals, we are not going to see France actually have any chance to win, they are going to definitely lose this game. Serbia was at least ahead for a while, then USA made a comeback but this time I feel like France will not be ahead at all, USA will take the game at the start and just be awesome until the end and just get the win.

While USA has been superb in the first half, France has surprisingly fought hard! There were several points in theat first half thar they were in the lead especially early in the half. This guy from France team —> Guerschon Yabusele, has been a menace to King James and the USA team.  Looking forward to see how the second half unfolds. I expect France to continue fighting hard but there's no way they match up to USA. Too much difference in quality.

Both games were lovely to watch. Bogdanovic - Jokic - Avramovic trio did their best for Serbia to beat the biggest favourite. But Stephen Curry had no intention to stop. 36 points... Wow! 

Total amount of points in the France - Germany game was too low. People who bet on over a certain amount of points before the game must be really sad. But I was expecting defenses to come one step forward here. Is there anyone who bet on France to win the Olympics? Keep your hopes up. There is nothing impossible. Serbia were nearly beating USA. But France need to stay strong in defense as much as possible like they did against Germany.

Defense is a major factor in a team's success, and France demonstrated that. Having Gobert and Wemby is a huge advantage, and they were successful when both focused more on defense rather than offense. Hopefully, they'll stick with that strategy because Team USA is full of shooters. At the very least, they can protect the paint and gamble on the possibility that the USA's outside shooting might struggle. Curry should be the marked man after his performance against Serbia.

I agree they are going to pack the pain and take theor chances on US having an off night.  I expect Kevin Durant to play big in this one along with Booker.  Booker will get the looks steph won't and KD will have an outside size advantage and can drill open shots.  If France wants to play on the outside and cover that than they will just bang the paint.  I'm taking KD over in points here.

Nice start for the US, I don't know how but I just realized the game was on.  I am so fn pissed at myself for not having known when the game was. I figured they'd have at least made the game a few days after the last game, but I guess this isn't like the NBA playoffs or championships where they get a bunch of days off.

Steph Curry is simply from another planet, he decided game alone in the end. France tried everything to stay in the game, but Curry responded to every their attempt with 3-pointer. USA were leading whole game, but it was great game, France always were close. But you can't win against USA with just 30% 3-pointers and so many missed free throws.

France should've punished USA more with those free throws but blew their chances. It's on them.  If you're playing against an elite team like the USA team, you need to take all your chances when you have them. They didn't take those chances and Curry got lit in the 4th quarter and buried team France. Curry just made the entire France fans to feel max pain destroying them like that with those back to back 3-pointers. That was insane to watch and I'm glad I didn't miss tonight's game.

That would be right. Wemby and Embiid are going to take care of the offense inside, which will make them very dangerous. They showed that they can match Team USA as they were able to make it a very close game, but Curry was just a different animal. He loves to show up and play the hero in crucial minutes, and he succeeded with his 3-point shooting. As expected, Team USA won, but France has proven they are a top 3 team in the world now.

Yeah right, Embiid can dominate the paint against any team USA player right now while France have a lot of players that can do perimeter shot that match Curry. Embiid is very good with his screen and providing space to shooters on his team.

They have a lot of chance next Olympics since Wemby is already full developed and experienced while Embiid can help him for extra aggression on paint which Gobert failed to provide on this tournament.

It was fun to watch the final game honestly. Especially the final quarter.    Curry started the show in this quarter by amazing three-pointers. He took the biggest responsibility to bring the gold medal home there. It was really nice to see him and LeBron both being very zealous to win. LeBron is such a legend that he is never out of energy. And Curry is absolutely the best shooter in history without dispute. 

Yabusele - Wembanyama duo did their best and made a big contribution to France. But it was still very difficult to keep up with these big players.

That's because we based it on the rankings, but there were surprises in the competition, just like when Canada lost to France. And Australia was even struggling when they were ranked in the top 3, if I'm not mistaken. France was really a surprise, and a big factor was that they were the host team, and you know what could potentially happen with that.

I think France would win the gold due the reason I mentioned above.
