This is a good move for them because small states are able to move forward economically by holding Bitcoin. Because they will propose in the parliament next week to hold Bitcoin, so far no country has been stuck for a long time due to obstacles in accepting Bitcoin. The country already holds 46,351 Bitcoins, worth $5.05 billion which is officially the fourth largest Bitcoin government holder in the world. I believe this strategic reserve will be of great use in the post-war economy of Ukraine in the future. Durant, elected from Worcester and Hampshire districts in Massachusetts, has proposed a bill in the Senate called An Act relative to a bitcoin strategic reserve (Bill No. 1967) to obtain legal recognition for keeping Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset in the state of Massachusetts. A hearing will be held on the bill on October 7 for consideration. If the bill is passed, the acceptance of Bitcoin will increase in the state and Bitcoin will be able to be used as a strategic asset like gold in times of emergency. If a strategic reserve of Bitcoin is established in the states, then the investment of investors in the technology and blockchain sector will increase. A legislative committee in Massachusetts is set to hold a hearing on a bill that would establish a Bitcoin strategic reserve for the state.
The proposal, introduced in February by Republican state Senator Peter Durant, seeks to allow the state treasury to invest up to 10% of the Commonwealth Stabilization Fund in bitcoin and other digital assets.
