SuchPool.pw is now back up!

You can come back. Everything has been restored, balances are correct.

http://quebec.suchpool.pw

Again, we deeply apoligize for this downtime. It was totally unexpected, and the damage was really extensive, and affecting all our pools.

Measures are being put in place to ensure quick recovery if this ever happens again on such a large scale.

THANK YOU all for your support, we really appreciate!

Thx for solving the problem. Lets hash on a fair Pool without too high withdraw fees !

I'm mining with 45MHs here now Smiley

Payouts are being fixed too. Users don't seem to have any idea of the work load involved. It is coming!

Despite bungled launch, the coin got 4.5 GH. that's rather impressive. My congratulations.

That shows how essential it is to have good premarketing effort and more importantly right target audience.
A landmark in community coin development.

As we all know the dev team cannot do everything so for success we all must work towards improving and laying the groundwork for QBC. I'm putting a list out to all of us for help getting the ball rolling, as everyone knows the sooner the better as much of this takes time. Feel free to add to the list and check off anything you all do.  Smiley

Things to do:

1. Distribute IPO

2. Working P2P mining

3. Lock up the premine for 2 person security.

4. Request mintpal add QBC (DONE!)

5. Grow Reddit community;  (http://www.reddit.com/r/Quebecoin)

6. Media (next week)

7. Give wallet some flair make it pretty (sorry i'm an art whore)

8. Android/Iphone wallet for easy distribution.

9. Twitter/Facebook exposure

10. Contact local Quebec merchants, ask for QBC acceptance.

11. Coinpayments request for voting. (https://www.coinpayments.net/)

12. Contact the good crew at Moolah for Prelude.io and digipay integration. https://moolah.io/

Reddit Thread here if you prefer: http://www.reddit.com/r/Quebecoin/comments/23gl23/everyone_needs_help_with_development_devs_too/

Pm me if you completed one of these goals or post below.

Wow, lot of hatred since this morning! That was a pretty awesome launch compared to Heavycoin (no pools for 26 hours), Darkcoin (weird high block rewards before wallet release) and all the scamcoins...

So to even the score I want to highlight some positive events:

Congrats to the Minep.it team:
I have switched my 25 MH/s from OkayPool to Minep.it, everything is running smooooth and the dashboard interface is awsome! The transactions fees at okaypool are prohibitive!

Awesome network!:
First day and already 4.7 GH/s over the network! That's what I call an healthy coin  Smiley

Many thanks and hat off to our dev JP "One Man Army" Gagnon:
Keep going man, you're doing great! You care and it shows. Don't let the haters get into your head Cool

Nice day to you all.

sooo block height was at 182 at 8:30AM (supposed "launch" time..)

That's 7.5 HRS of premine.  On a coin that was 24 hours past it's planned launch date...

Can't wait for this shit coin to die.

Can anyone point me to a couple good nodes? I'm using those on the OP ...

Just so you know, I don't think it's a fork, it looks like the same issue H2O coin had on their last launch where 32 bit clients get a rounding error and can't match the hash and nonce.  Something JP will have to fix in code and recompile wallets for.  There will be a fork if people are mining to a 32 bit client though, so make sure you are mining to a 64 bit build you have built yourself on linux or a pool that is using 64 bit.  If you solo mine to the windows wallet any blocks you may find would be on a fork.
