Liverpool right now is not longer a contender for this season, is sadly but everyone who saw their games knews this, they are doing really bad in defense, and in offensive they score but they dont play really good, plus with the issues with Mo Salah they are gonna be much more in troubles. Another season in the bin sadly for them in Champions League.

I think so too. If we look more closely at Liverpool's performance in recent times, it can be said that their chances of lifting the trophy this season do indeed look increasingly slim. It's not that I dislike or hate this club, it's just that the squad's performance in recent matches has been very unsatisfactory. In terms of player quality, the Liverpool squad is just as good as any other club. However, for some reason, this squad does not seem to have a winning mentality.

The manager's conflict with the players is making Liverpool a worse situation than they already are. I don't think it reflects professionalism on the part of a manager or a player. A coach should have a good relationship with the legendary players in his team and should discuss the good and bad of the team with the legends. On the part of the players, they should also work according to the manager's advice for the benefit of the team, making sacrifices if necessary. But the conflict created by the disconnection with each other is enough to lead the whole team to a worse situation.
I don't think that, Liverpool performance this season is as a result of the relationship between the players and coach. I don't think that, apart from Salah there is another player that the coach has problem with. Liverpool problem this season has always been lack of form from all the players there is no player that is exemted. This is a collective failure from the entire team, the coach is the manager of the team so he decides which player should start or not that, you are a club legend doesn't make you above the entire team and the coach.
In my opinion Salah isn't Liverpool's problem right now but rather Slot's insensitivity to the current state of the Liverpool squad. Slot must take responsibility he must immediately improve Liverpool so they can achieve chemistry with their players especially in implementing strategies that utilize the players they have. Liverpool's current slump especially in the domestic league is due to the departures of many players and the arrival of many new players.

Liverpool's performance in UCL isn't particularly bad, and they even have a chance to qualify for the next round as they face easy opponents in their remaining two matches. However to qualify for UCL, Slot must be able to unite his players and form a solid team. Last season Liverpool was strong thanks to Salah's excellent performance TAA's consistent delivery and Diaz and Jota's constant saviors.
Salah is just a player and it is not a group of players so his absence in the team should not be a problem in the team. Every team should have a backup player who can perform like the main player or little different so that the team can do well and maintain it integrity. Salah was benched foe about 3 or 4 games and he played in the African Nations Cup and he didn't pretty good on the pitch. The players that win the Premier League Title last season are still there and active playing then the issue there is the coach, he had to do something or something do him to move forward the team. Liverpool can't be like this.

At UCL it doesn't matter how much money you have, it's about football culture your team has and as long as you can do a fine job of it then you are going to be fine. Real Madrid is a very rich team, and I mean very rich, but even they do not spend as much as some of the other teams, this is the team that got Mbappe for free instead of paying transfer fee for him, same with Alex Arnold, and they are still doing fine.

Because they have a good culture and a great name. If you are PSG and spend a decade and over a billion dollars to get it, that must annoy you. But money plays a big role too, because without money, you can't win, it is not like any of the recent 20 year winners were ever poor teams or small clubs.

That is strategy, Real Madrid president have alot of wisdom because he know that any big players will always like to play in real madrid because they have alot of trophy's and many people always talk about real madrid so every players dream will be in madrid to play in the team and perform better in the club to have more experience and value. Now if Mbappe will come and leave real madrid to another club madrid will get alot of money with him because they won't like him to leave as a free agent because they know Mbappe is one of the key player in the world and not every club can afford to buy him to there funds because the market value will be much higher.

Incidentally, they bought Trent for 10 million. His contract expired in June, but Real Madrid needed him for the Club World Cup, so Liverpool didn't hesitate to take the transfer fee for one month  Cheesy I'm so glad that Liverpool is now in deep trouble with that rat Isak.
But if we talk about money, they decide everything. Mbappé signed for free, but he has a huge signing bonus and extra clauses. Yes, Real is the most efficient club in terms of spending/results, but look at the big picture: when was the last time an underdog club won the Champions League? 100 years ago, Porto under Mourinho.

I agree with what you're saying to some extent, but there isn't a single team that has been successful in the UCL without money. In fact, no club that isn't ultra-rich can even make it to the quarter-finals. It's been the same for years. As a result, the winning team is always one of the ultra-rich teams.

In the case of Real Madrid and Mbappe, you said that Real got the player for free, but you didn't mention the player's salary and bonuses. Mbappe's net annual salary is 31.5 million Euro, and I haven't even included his bonuses and signing on fee. How many clubs in the world can afford such a salary? This also needs to be taken into account.

The Champions League is won one year by a club spending 1 billion dollars, another year by a club spending 300 million dollars, but a club spending 50 million dollars can never reach the final. The system simply won't allow it. It's always one of the ultra-rich ones that won the title.

After the loss to PSV in the champions League, Liverpool have drawn with Sunderland and Leeds united and have won their remaining games, I can't just say Arne Slot is the major problem of this team, I believe the players too need to put in more work to make the strategy work and I believe if Arne Slot can manage the team properly and maximise their strength in the right time, they will bounce back very well this season.

Liverpool are now getting back on track, as you can see their last three games were all wins, which is a nice one for them. They are now 5th in the Premier League table, and they currently have the same points as Chelsea in the Premier League. If the players put in more effort, then Liverpool will still get back on track, as their performance will be okay. If that should happen, they will be among the top eight in the Champions League. With consistency, fewer injuries, and strong teamwork, Liverpool can maintain this momentum and challenge the top teams both domestically and in Europe.

Liverpool are pretty trying in the league but I don't think they can get the opportunity to win trophies anymore they can just finish in top 4 in the league so that they can get the chance to play in the Champions League next season, there three games they play is not a easy win they struggle in some games before getting the chance to win the three point. After the break is over they will continuing there league competition and try to win be wining back to back, they have two matches to play in the Champions League group stage and they need to win the games if they want to probably get the opportunity to finish in top 8th in the Champions League group stages.

arne slot is not worried about any title now. Right now he is busy saving his job. If Liverpool's performance is not stable then Slot will be fired.

Liverpool lost the truck very badly. Arne slot has been able to reduce the internal problems of the squad to a large extent. Liverpool's performance can not be said to be very strong. Anyway, they have won the last three matches. They won against Inter Milan in the champions league and won against brighton and tottenham in the premier league. Although there has been some improvement, liverpool's performance is not completely stable yet. Liverpool's  opponents are weak in the next few  matches. I am looking forward to the arsenal vs liverpool match in the second  week of January.
With this level of performance, it's never been easy for Arne Slot to save his job because they are instable and things are not favourable for them to have good end of their season. Currently they are at 5th spot while chances are good, they can overtake Chelsea for 4th.

Still, they need to be good in Champions league because if they are able to go as long they can, hopefully Liverpool management able to give another chance. Injuries and new player's adjustment are leading for serious trouble for them, even now they are doing good still keeping balance and also have good consistency for better spot at the end of season is important. Few more upcoming games are good for them to grab better results.

I know Arne Slot has not been able to effectively handle the team and it seems like he's losing out on his plans to take the title for the Liverpool guys judging from his condition at the table and otherwise, you will understand clearly what I am talking about. Look at the case of Mohammed Salah who had been a well payed salary seating on the bench when he could have helped deliver in some of the games the Liverpool team were conceding to on several occasions. I thought the interest was meant to be a collective one which should be to the interest of the club and there should be no sentiments for what ever decisions the manager will be making else it is those kind of things which leads to failure of the club like we have seen over time.

I know how frustrating it can be, yet it is too soon to write Liverpool off. Their problems on the defensive front are apparent and their recent performances on the champions league have been sub par but this does not appear to be a team short of mentality, but one in transition. Arne Slot has yet to deploy his system which can hardly be successful overnight. The case of Salah is a complicated and probably tactical and not personal one. Liverpool might not be the favourites in this season, however, with their quality, a single good run would still turn everything in European competition as a whole.

Currently, Liverpool are still hampered by the strategy implemented by their coach not working. Other problems within the Reds squad are not present except for the departure of their former coach Jurgen Klopp. The current coach hasn't found chemistry with his players but their results are still similar to the performance implemented under Jurgen Klopp. So in the UCL match their performance has slightly decreased because they did not achieve maximum results in the competition and also currently in the EPL competition they are still far from the hope of continuing to compete in the championship fight which is very far this season for them because the EPL competition this time is quite fierce especially with the presence of a team that was never taken into account in the previous few seasons but this season they are in third place in the standings namely Aston Villa.

I concur that Liverpool is too early to be eliminated in the champions league. Any departure of Klopp would always be accompanied by a transitional period, and it is obvious that Arne Slot will require time to execute his plans. The problem with defending and unstable performances by Europeans are worrying, yet the aspect of mentality has never been a failure to Liverpool. Salah situation is a personal matter too, but it was more of a tactical situation as you said. This is a season where the competition in the premier leagues is very stiff and we have seen surprise contenders such as the Aston Villa who have increased the competition. Although Liverpool are not champions favourites at the moment, their quality of the squad and experience allows changing their perspectives within the framework of one successful campaign, in particular, in Europe.

Arne Slot successful at first season with Liverpool by winning Premier League but eliminated at knock out round at Champion League but his position keep secure last season. In Champion League, Liverpool performance actually not really bad after winning 4 of 6 matches and success securing the spot directly qualifying to 16 of round. Opportunity qualify to 16 of round for Liverpool quite wide open if can win two matches left against Marseille and Qarabag.
Get six points in two matches left make Liverpool will defend the current standings and has chance break up few position if higher standing teams awhile can't get all 6 points. I believe Liverpool get chance to play at Champion League knock out round without playing the playoff round match.

For the Champions League, I think it will be different, especially in the knockout stages, where the team's mentality is the most influential, and it is clear that Liverpool is experiencing performance problems this season, but we can also see that this is slowly starting to be fixed by Arne Slot, so I believe that Liverpool has the opportunity to be better so they cannot be underestimated in the Champions League competition this season.

Their chances of winning the Premier League are very slim, but not the Champions League. Every team that has qualified up to this round is liable to compete or win the trophy. Teams you expect to win may not be the winners. For example, PSG last season was not expected to win the Champions League, not until they progressed to the final stage of the competition. This is not the league where we can have two favorites to win, and of course, the winner will come from one of them. There is still hope for Liverpool to win this trophy, big hope for that matter.

I don't think it is too soon to write off Liverpool from the picture of winning the Champions League we all are aware of the condition of Liverpool so I don't see the reason why we should deceive ourselves about their performance i feel that people don't want to accept reality because for the past few weeks liverpool have been struggling and this is one of the reasons that makes them not to qualify to be among those that are predicted to win the Champions League even last season that we all know that they are going to win the Premier League but we still doubted if they will be able to win the Champions League last season talk more of this season that they are not in form if you are predicting that liverpool have a chance of winning the Champions League then what would you say about Arsenal and Bayern Munich anything can still happen but at this point these are the people that are maintaining a good performance which makes them predictable, I don't see liverpool given us that kind of feeling.

I also don’t think that Liverpool will win the trophy this season, but I know their performance is taking a good turn. Liverpool are not supposed to be in this kind of situation, but it happens sometimes. With the level of coordination and improved performance they have now, it will help them go further, but that doesn’t mean they will be able to win the trophy. If they want to be part of the top eight teams, they will have to be more serious than this so that they can achieve that.

It's not that I dislike or hate this club, it's just that the squad's performance in recent matches has been very unsatisfactory. In terms of player quality, the Liverpool squad is just as good as any other club. However, for some reason, this squad does not seem to have a winning mentality.

You’re right but let’s just give them sometime to see if they can come up better than they use to be from the start of the season. They have been playing quite well before now, this maybe their downtime as a team and we may see them come up better than they’re in the soonest. I won’t conclude now that their winning mentality is gone and have lost out of the winning probability. They will definitely comeback better but how soon is what we can’t tell for now.

Because they have a good culture and a great name. If you are PSG and spend a decade and over a billion dollars to get it, that must annoy you. But money plays a big role too, because without money, you can't win, it is not like any of the recent 20 year winners were ever poor teams or small clubs.

Money is very important for the success of most of this teams. It is those teams that even have money that are mostly focusing  on how to limit their spending in the purchase of new players. They make use of strategical move in order not to spend too much, that’s why they’re even getting to bring big players into the team without paying a dime. Every big team today are very rich and for any small team to overcome them and become great, they need to spend on their players and bring in the best of them.

Liverpool may or may not finish the CL with a trophy this season. However I still expect them to create some trouble for others. I don't think they'll just give up easily. They don't look bad here.

First I expect them to finish league phase in top 8. It's quite possible considering their remaining games. And I think they'll compete hard against big teams too. They've already shown us some examples: Real Madrid, ATM and Inter. All ended up with wins...  Wink

Liverpool have different motivations in the Champions League, and I'm not overly critical of their improved performance, as I don't think it's optimal yet. However, I don't think the next match against Marseille will be too difficult for Liverpool, as both teams have a different overall quality, so I think Liverpool can win.

And regarding the competition for the Champions League title this season, I don't think Liverpool can be overly favored. Their strength isn't comparable to some of the favored teams.

Of course, they're still improving. As for Marseille, it's best not to underestimate the teams playing in the Champions League, as this competition is tough. Whoever gets this far has, in a certain sense, deserved to be there, and so they certainly won't be easy opponents.
