My understanding is that they have an upcoming game next year on January 28, 2026 against Qarabag, and I think it will be a pretty exciting match. But in fairness, Liverpool have shown very good performances throughout the whole year of 2025.

They really fought hard just to earn their wins against the strong teams they faced. Besides that, I also admire Liverpool because they managed to keep their rank in the top spot, and that’s not an easy thing to do, like what Liverpool has done.

Now it's not too late for Liverpool, they are not far behind and the knockout stage will be the most decisive and I think Arne slot has not been able to fully improve Liverpool's performance because when compared to several other teams they are still not that good but the journey this season is still very long and I am sure every team will be able to change even better, including Liverpool.

Liverpool's management have more enough patient waiting the manager progress, if you see how many season management waiting the progress of Jurgen Kloop when first time appointed as Liverpool's head coach the Kop performance not significant move to the top position.
Arne Slot have been success for the first season by winning domestic league although he come from as Eredivisie manager teams not any one know him well or his reputation and the management still trust him for second season after Liverpool get inconsistent performance.

It's not too late for Liverpool to make changes, as I see them slowly recovering and showing positive results, although not yet at their full potential. A top-four finish is still quite achievable for Liverpool, as they currently sit in sixth place, and there are still many games left to play to reach that position, as long as Liverpool's performances improve significantly. However, I'm not so sure Liverpool can achieve much better results in the Champions League, as the competition there will be much tougher.

At UCL it doesn't matter how much money you have, it's about football culture your team has and as long as you can do a fine job of it then you are going to be fine. Real Madrid is a very rich team, and I mean very rich, but even they do not spend as much as some of the other teams, this is the team that got Mbappe for free instead of paying transfer fee for him, same with Alex Arnold, and they are still doing fine.

Because they have a good culture and a great name. If you are PSG and spend a decade and over a billion dollars to get it, that must annoy you. But money plays a big role too, because without money, you can't win, it is not like any of the recent 20 year winners were ever poor teams or small clubs.

It's not just about football culture. You can't succeed in the Champions League without money. Even if they got Mbappe for free, the fee they paid is very high. How many clubs can afford that?
City had a culture in the past, but after the Qataris bought the club, they started to succeed in the Champions League and the Premier League. It's not just about culture.
