Did Barcelona Lose to Newcastle? This was another unexpected match tonight. Besides Liverpool losing to Galatasaray, I now see Barcelona losing by the same scoreline, 1-0. This is quite strange. Hansi Flick didn't seem to have prepared well for this match, which is why they lost.

I only see Liverpool game as a pain here, the others are expected but although Bayern Munich are seriously trashing Seria A team at home with ease, how their league has thus fallen in the UEFA.

I wonder what anyone was expecting in the Tottenham game, they are fighting against relegation and if ATM had any difficulty winning this game at home then Simeone would have been questioned.

Honestly that made me laugh a lot, sorry man I know that feeling unfortunately.But to be fair, Galatasaray at home is an unstoppable machine. They're playing really well and giving 110% every game. Still, i think this is probably the end for them because Anfield has always been a very tough place for visiting teams.Tottenham really disappointed me, while Atletico showed real class. Honestly the biggest surprise tonight would be Newcastle if they win. It's already the 93 minute and they've outplayed Barcelona in pretty much every part of the game , the stats show it too.This UCL season is going to be really interesting

Tothenham has been eliminated from the champions league even though the second leg has not been played i expected them to loss today but not with much humiliation it's already 4-1 in the first half and atletico madrid is not yet tired of scoring. Tothenham goal keeper made two big mistake in this match in the first half which resulted to goal and he was sub out from the match, Tothenham performance is getting out of hand 8-1 can be possible before full time of this match.

Tottenham was humiliated today with a staggering 5-2 scoreline, as at the time of typing this, they were in the 90th minute of the game but I do not know if they are going to get more goals thereafter, I will not conclude they have been eliminated just yet untill after the second leg, even as Tottenham does not look like a team that can overturn the scores easily but they can get lucky, we never can tell.

Galatasaray are just a different force at home as they currently have the most active football fans and their fans are very active and they  are the extra players in the game, but I believe when the next games comes up Liverpool will do better.  Galatasaray are going to go to anfield with the intention of actually defending that one goal except Liverpool will get to score early so that the match will now be tense.

I've been watching Newcastle vs. Barcelona match from the beginning and there's still no goal. But when I look at the other matches, both of them have 6 goals. If I had known it would be like this, I would've opened one of the other matches to watch.

Just as I was writing this message Newcastle scored but it was a clear offside. I can really say it's been a boring match. Barca is leaving the job for the second leg at home. Newcastle needed to score at home, if they go to Spain with this score their job will be almost impossible.

In my opinion Newcastle United vs Barcelona is the intriguing match this night, and I wanted to watch the match because of how intense the match is going to be but I couldn't watch the match because network is so bad at my end.  Newcastle United has done noble to score one goal against Barcelona but they should scored two or three goals against Barcelona to have good advantage of qualifying to the quarter final because if they win Barcelona with the one goal, Barcelona will easily overturn the 1-0 defeat they conceded at St. James' Park when Newcastle United visit Camp Nou.

It was a well deserved win for Newcastle United because they played very well in that match and even had some of their goals disallowed else Barcelona would have conceded more goals than this. It is obvious that team from the English Premier league have been very hard for Barcelona to deal with, honestly i wasn't expecting this defeat from Newcastle and I know many people placed their bet on Barcelona to win which has failed us. My bet was on over 3.5 and over 2.5 and its such a shame that none of that happened.

I knew this match will be tough because of how good Newcastle United is in the premier league even though they are not good enough this season like they way they were good last season; but for them to use their home advantage against Barcelona  to a draw the first leg, it is very commendable and it clearly shows that Barcelona can easily eliminated and this might ease Arsenal qualification process to the Champions League final this season. A draw for Newcastle United is not a bad result; the match ended 1-1 with a late penalty goal for Yamal to secure a draw in the game. Now the second leg have a lot to say for both teams.


Atalanta and Tottenham Looks like they are eliminated already; Atalanta conceded six goals, while Tottenham conceded five goals but scored two goals; but regardless of all these, I don’t think they can do well in the second league.

seeing Atalanta suffer such a rout at home is extraordinary. However, if you watched how they knocked out Dortmund in the second leg i’m sure you weren’t surprised. They finally ran out of luck and Bayern didn't leave any room for a surprise in the first leg. they will likely finish the job at home.

Lamine Yamal equalized the score 1:1 in the injury time. This was a tensed match as the energy of both teams were equal and the draw is a good result for both teams. Despite that we know Barcelona will crush Newcastle in the returning leg, but i give accolades to Newcastle for not falling so cheap to Barcelona as Atalanta and Tottenham fell so easily to their opponents namely, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. After the half time of Newcastle versus Barcelona match, i was expecting them to end in full time draw because both teams were almost playing same pattern of football, even though Barcelona had more possession of the ball, but Newcastle were more accurate in their shots because they fired 4 shots on target while Barcelona only got 2 shots on target.

Bayern Munich has scored a whole lot of goals in their first leg match against Atalanta, they have even made it look impossible for Atalanta to want to try a comeback in this game. Bayern Munich have really played well in this game and I’m not really surprised by their win, and large margin of goal. I think Atalanta journey in the champions league will likely be coming to an end now, because it looks very impossible for them to actually catch up even in the second leg of this game.

The Barcelona match against Newcastle United ended in a draw. Lamine Yamal has once again done it after scoring a last minute penalty goal, and denying Newcastle United a victory this night. The second leg will indeed be another tough game, I didn’t expect the match to be this tight, and with this show of competitiveness in this game, there is going to be another tough game upcoming in the second leg. Barcelona will be a bit surprised by the scoreline, but they will need to do better in the second leg.

I don't even know how Tottenham managed to reach the round of 16 because what's this. Imagine losing by 4:1 in just first half, how will they second half look like with this level of poor performance from Tottenham. This might just be their early elimination from the Champions League because Atletico Madrid will want to win them with a high score margin so that they won't stand any chance in the second leg. Tudor have had many bad results since he became Tottenham's head coach, a sack is already knocking at the door for him, maybe after the Champions League games the club's management might announce his sack.

Bro, did you see what happened in the first half? It was totally humiliating what happened to Tottenham's starting goalkeeper Kinsky (he was substituted instantly after slipping twice and gifting Athletic two goals). I hope his career isn't ruined forever but he left after only 17 minutes!!!!  

It really seems like a joke that Tottenham managed to reach the Champions League round of 16 this season, their campaign is terrible.

Tottenham lost by a big margin, Atletico Madrid was quite strong in this game. Later, if Atletico Madrid keeps up their game in the second round, Tottenham will not get a chance to score, because Tottenham will not be able to perform magically. Because at the beginning of the game, Atletico Madrid created so much pressure that they were able to score four goals in a moment, but Tottenham players could not withstand the pressure for a short moment, as a result, Tottenham lost this match by a margin of 5-2.

It's incredible what's happening in Madrid with Tottenham performing elow expectations. I don't know what got into Tudor to leave Vicario out and I feel sorry for Kinsky because he could pay for a bad night that will haunt him throughout his career as happened to Karius.

Well I wasn’t expecting Tottenham to win today but I was not expecting this score line as well. At this point now how bad can it get for spurs, by weekend now they would be heading to Anfield for a premier league game which I still feel will be a struggle and a defeat for them.

I feel bad for the young goal keeper too, but the good thing is he is still very young and every one will forget about such awful performance in no time.

It safe to say Tottenham are out of the champions league already and now they would have to battle their live to avoid relegation in the premier league.

Atalanta defense was just so weak in the match, Bayern Munich humiliated them in the match today, the match was just so easy for Bayern Munich, they had chances in the match, and they utilized the opportunity which they had in the match. Bayern Munich played impressively so well in the match, the scored 6 goals in the match, and Atalanta were able to score just a goal which they had during the extra time also.

I don’t think anything is left for Atalanta in the champions league, because I don’t know how they going to score so many goals against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the match, I feel thats just going to be impossible.

I'm more interested in the Newcastle United vs Barcelona game at the St James Park tonight. A crucial game that the Magpies would have handled to themselves but they end up bottling it for Barcelona. This game was filled with intensity and all the players have been making absolutely energy to win games but what did they do on the pitch? Absolutely nothing but relent. Newcastle United was in a better position to win games tonight but they misused their chances.

Barcelona has not lost or draw since the moved back to their stadium, they have played 11 matches and won all of them, Newcastle would have love to go there with a goal in their favour because they played good today and it was like they were going to win before the late penalty for Barcelona.

Newcastle vs Barcelona game ended in a 1:1 draw, it was a perfect result for me, the both teams had chances but it wasn’t destined to be a goalless game. Barcelona has to do better in the second leg Newcastle have shown that they can compete at the highest level.

I think this is the end of the UCL outing by Atalanta and Tottenham. I don’t think much was expected of them as they’ve not been doing well at their respective leagues.
