The goals came too late. If there had been an earlier goal, maybe we would've watched a different match. Yeah I'm still annoyed that I didn't watch the Bayern or Atletico match.
In the end Barca got the score they wanted. They will go through at home. Newcastle didn't play too bad at home, but they won't be able to play like this away. The atmosphere will be very different there. The last minute penalty also upset them even more. If the match ended 0-0, they probably wouldn't be this disappointed. Watching the Bayern Munich against Atalanta or the Atletico Madrid against Tottenham would have been a great deal instead of watching the training between Newcastle United and Barcelona, I know they finally settled for a 1:1 draw but this is one of the poorest games I have watched in the champions League and it's unfortunate that Barcelona with all their experiences couldn't play good football instead what I saw was a team that was totally disorganized.

Newcastle was the better side in the game but they wasted a lot of scoring opportunities which should have been a great advantage to them when they visit Barcelona in the second leg but as it is now, Barcelona will qualify ahead of them when they visit.

Newcastle just compensated Barcelona out of their own free will. They had opportunities to be 4 goals ahead in that game but wasted them all, in the end Barcelona got that one chance they've been looking for through a penalty since they couldn't actually penetrate Newcastle defense and equalized with it. Losing my bet because of that late goal didn't pain me like Newcastle allowing Barcelona to share points with them after their low quantity display in England, now Newcastle are going to Spain for the second leg, they've obvious mountains to climb because it's not going to be easy for them over there.

I thought Newcastle got the win tonight before the penalty awarded to Barcelona at extra time. Anyway, this was at Newcastle United home and in the second leg at Camp Nou we expect Barcelona to qualify to the next round. I have little expectation from Newcastle there but they can still cause harm although they are lacking in attacking prowess. There is no much consistency there for them, still finding it hard to get a replacement for Alexander Isak, none of the new signings has been consistent.

Newcastle played well and almost beat Barcelona but they let Barcelona escaping from the defeat and this is a very bad and disappointed result for Newcastle United. It will become harder for Newcastle United to have similar performance in a second match with Barcelona if this giant adapts better for a second match. Bayern Leverkusen Munich is far better than Atalanta this season and I didn't really expect a competitive win even though I didn't think it would reach 6 goals at Italy. Atalanta only got a goal at the stoppage time at least to compensate those that picked both teams to score. Champions League is a game of surprise and it keeps happening every time.

Liverpool lost against Galatasaray in at Istanbul by one goal which I know Liverpool could turn around at anfield. Most of the results of the day came as a shock. How about Athletical Madrid beating Tottenham Hotspur 5-2, a scoreline no one expected. All eyes on real Madrid Vs Manchester city today at the Bernabeu. Real Madrid must be very careful in order not to loose or draw this game.

Yeah he should've avoided that mistake knowing fully well that's it's injury time. Well it was a narrow escape for Barcelona, Newcastle really frustrated them, they would lost that match if they gave up easily after that goal but it's good they kept pushing for a goal till the end., it's very surprising how the St James Park has become a fortress.
 In the sense that bigger clubs still find it difficult to win them there, no wonder the bookmakers gave Barcelona 2+ odds to win, was really surprised when I saw the odd but i got to understand why after the first half. However Newcastle should be ready to do lots of running and defending at Camp Nou.
