If you say that it is payback time then you might actually be right, Chelsea coach got it wrong this time, PSG coach was busy making some good changes, I do not know what the problem of Chelsea coach is, to have allow such a humiliating defeat from a well known team that has been planning a revenge against them for a very long time after the got it got from Chelsea in club world cup, it is unfortunate that cahkesea couldn't maintain the 2:2 equalizer, even if you do not think that Chelsea can qualify to have next stage, you should not forget that this is football where nothing is impossible, funny to say that PSG are now prepared to take things up from here just because they had their first at against Chelsea, time will tell if what you said is true or not.

I think we can all agree on Real Madrid locking up their defense in the second leg.. All they will need is a counter-attack since Mbappe will be present as well.

I did lost my bet to this very game yesterday, but it wasn't on Manchester City to win either. I actually played for a total of 4 goals, and Manchester City couldn't even safe themselves with a single goal. Vinicius Jr on the other hand also had to toy with my feelings, after failing to convert the penalty because all I literally wanted was just a last goal from any side.

Well, as for the game, I'm one of the very few that always gives flowers to teams that has done well. It would be a shame to not give credits to this Madrid side just for the sake of banter. Who would have thought?. It was literally Valverde's night at the Bernabeu. I think this very game is going to be an eye opener to those that are ready to learn, that football sometimes is not all about a team with the most players. Real Madrid has proven over and over again, that football mentality especially in crucial moments, can change a lot of things.

I told a friend of mine, that Manchester City's next 6-7 games_{(from that yesterday)}, is going to show how cracked the team is.

Anyway, what do you guys think of Bayern Munich, Barca and PSG's chances in progressing further and their chances of going to the semis?

I think these three clubs make it somehow if they don't play each other in the semis or play against the heavy weights like Real Madrid.

At this point, and with what I have seen so far, I think both PSG and Bayern, are literally the favorites to meet in the semis. No offense to Real Madrid and what they've done last night, but seeing this very Bayern team, you just don't want to play against them. And as for Barce, they're clearly the favorites, but I won't be surprised if Newcastle decides to take matters into their own hands. It seems Barce are quite scared of physical football, and that's what Newcastle knows how to play best.

Sometimes I don't understand English Premier League teams, even though they have many strong and well-known players, but somehow they can get like this. But this is football, because surprises always happen. And what surprised me was Arsenal's draw against Leverkusen, even though they should have won. If Manchester City lost to Real Madrid, I wouldn't be too surprised because Real Madrid usually performs well in the Champions League. So, in the round of 16, all the players will play with full ambition, wanting to win and ultimately have good strength due to their good mentality. If you look at the standings, five EPL teams are in the top 8, so they should be able to easily win against teams in the play-off round. So, it seems we have to be careful when betting.

But we don't know in the second leg, because it's possible that some EPL teams will advance to the last 8, like Arsenal. Arsenal still has a good chance of winning the second leg and qualifying for the last 8. Liverpool also has only a 1-goal deficit against Galatasaray.

Man City going goalless in this round is a real stunner, and they managed to ruin my ticket because of it. I didn't ask for much—only one goal—and I was really happy when I saw Real take the lead, as I was sure they would turn it around. But boy, was I wrong.

Real dominated the game, and the hero this time was Valverde. On the other hand, in the other game, Chelsea didn’t deserve to lose. They were the better team.

I favored glimt in the bet and luckily I won because glimt won against sporting but unfortunately I only put a little money if it was a lot it would make me even happier. and now it seems sporting has to try hard again in the 2nd leg because I think if they only concede 3 goals they can still fight in the 2nd leg even though it will not be easy. if I pay attention glimt is a strong team and I think glimt is a dangerous team for those who fight them and I remember when they played against inter glimt always won and this indicates that glimt could advance to the semifinals or finals what do you think how long glimt will survive in ucl this season is it possible to go to the semifinals and so on? but I think he has the potential to go to the top 8. but I hope in the 2nd leg sporing vs psg can compete tightly so that the match will be more exciting.

You are right because the round might unfavour a lot of premier League clubs, right now Newcastle United and Arsenal could be the only ones that's going forward with the premier League name on the champions League but in terms of thinking about the clubs the both of them are against, Arsenal might be the only team to win their opponent because they possessed Leverkusen and nearly won them but the unlucky conceding was why Arsenal could not but with nice possession and more concentrated Arsenal will see victory but for Newcastle United, Barcelona was already possessing them first match and is rarely to see Newcastle United to be the reason of losing round of Barcelona.

First leg matches result, I think only Newcastle United has an opportunity qualify to next round as the premier league team after Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have loss at first leg. Impossible mission for both team Chelsea and Manchester City after losing first leg match over three goals and need the magician for winning more than four goals if want to qualify next round.
In my opinion, Premier League team participants in Champion League knock out round almost over indeed Newcastle United get draw at first leg match not easily for defeating Barcelona at second leg and will play at Camp Nou stadium.

PSG will always be the reigning champ because winning games is definitely what Luis Enrique is known for. He's always climbing his ways to the top. I was expecting this huge defeat because Paris Saint Germain have always thought about beating Chelsea again not after the incident that Chelsea pulled in the club world cup champion final. This game was survival of the fittest. I'm hoping to see Les Parisiens play the final of UCL. PSG are on fire this season, this is definitely what the fans keen on watching.

You are wrong by what you are saying here, because PSG only won Chelsea yesterday night due to some costly individual errors, not that they were  way better than Chelsea. In the club world cup that Chelsea won, it was a different game altogether because it was played in a neutral venue. PSG came in very serious, looking for revenge after the Club World Cup. However, there were several individual mistakes from Chelsea, and without those errors the result could have gone either way. Chelsea didn't take their chances, while PSG did. Now we just have to look forward to the second leg. But after seeing how serious PSG in today's game, I don't have much confidence in this Chelsea side.

I don't think Pep need to do much in the second leg because he'll always get same result because the club has lost that dominance on every game they play so is best for them to just turn their attention to something they can get like some of the English competition but if is this champions league title is already gone before they even face Madrid. Not saying nothing productive can't happen for City, meaning that even if they manage to eliminate Madrid, the next club will knock them out but for now they can't be the City that pushed Madrid some seasons ago.

Real Madrid managed to beat Man City without several key players such as Mbappe, Bellingham and Rodrygo. After this defeat, Man City chances of qualifying for the next round are very slim, Real Madrid will not let their lead be overtaken by City when they play at the Etihad Stadium. The second leg was like a formality for Man City, they couldn't stop Madrid progress with this kind of performance. It's clear that City level is still below Madrid. Focusing on other competitions would be better for Man City, they have already reached the Final in the EFL and are still competing with Arsenal in the EPL title race.

It seems like whenever Real Madrid have everybody available they just play any how but in this case where they don't have those key players you mentioned they had do it the right way and they got it right. Well. It's not that the Chelsea fans won't accept the fact that the Chelsea ’s aren't in thier best form, the match was purely or the Chelsea’s performance was clearly poor yesterday, as the match were going on, it was actually intresting to watch because they were alot of competitions and challenges/pressures from both opponents, but Chelsea later turned the efforts to something I can't explain, the attackers were weak, the wings players were weaken and the defensive weren't solid enough again to retaliate the pressures that were coming from the Paris Saint-Germain, can you see how the FK Bodo Glimt defeated Sporting CP yesterday, thier match were impressive than Chelsea’s own, then come to think of the Real Madrid's performance that everyonewas afraid,  since thier key players aren't in the match, the Real Madrid performance was very okay and I must say a kudus to then, hadn't been the way b Real Madrid applied energy yesterday smae thing goes to Chelsea! This was amazing stuff. Now they have a big win against Sporting this is going to be interesting.

A deficit of 3 goals is always achievable, but Bodo's consistency and performance give them a good advantage in the second leg. Things could be on another level for Sporting but Bodo is having good consistency while their defense is also doing a good job, which is helping them keep things in control. With this result, the chances are they could be able to secure their spot in the quarterfinals with this new milestone for them, even if things might not be easy for them.
