Wirtz Salah duo was terrible for Liverpool. other than that Liverpool played exactly the kind of game Galatasaray wanted... they persistently tried to attack through the center but Lemina, Singo, Abdulkerim,and Ekitike were physically superior to Salah and Szoboszlai.
As a result, the game got congested and GS found several counter attack opportunities. in my opinion, Galatasaray should have been able to score a second goal.
Anyway it was a great match to watch.

Liverpool were lucky enough to have only conceded just one goal in this encounter and they will have everything to play for in the return leg at Anfield. Hugo Ekitike had several opportunities to score and level the game and possibly win it for Liverpool but he was wasteful in from of the post , Mohamed Salah wasn’t in the game, and Victor Osimehn caused lots of problems for the Liverpool defense and had a goal ruled out for offside after providing the assist for the Galatasarays goal through a powerful header. Galatasaray won 1:0 at home and will be heading to Anfield with a goal advantage as they hope to offset Liverpool more at Anfield, it’s really going to be another exciting second leg.

Galatasaray won the match, and they  deserved it. Galatasaray's boys performed well throughout the match. And tried to dominate the match. And in the end they won. Even though they won by a small margin , it was not an easy task for Galatasaray to beat a team like liverpool.

Galatasaray is very serious about this year's champions league. The players were very confident. Every player tried their best  to perform well in their position.

I am waiting for the Barcelona vs newcastle match. And in a few minutes the match is going to be held. Barcelona is the favorite in this match , there is no doubt about it. But the match is newcastle's home match. So it is  foolish to think that barcelona will win easily.

As expected, victory to Galatasaray for defeating Liverpool at their home. Galatasaray didn't play beautiful football from the start of the game to the end. The little chances they created were converted into a goal. Liverpool are not doing well and they need to improve in the second half he they want the victory in this match because I see some of the players are confusing expecially Liverpool defence they need to improve in the second half. The game has already ended in the favor of the Galatasaray after scoring one goal right from the 7 minute of the first half, and with Grier much efforts they where able to manage the lead and secure points against Liverpool; which was a great performances from them tonight. Because of they told me that they can able to win Liverpool I won’t believe I knows that Liverpool performances went very poorly in the premier league, but I wad thinking they can make improving their performances in this champion leagues and still look the same thing. i'm really curious to see what galatasaray will do against liverpool. we can say the team is really tired, but after the derby win against beşiktaş, i think their morale is high for this match. if everyone does their job properly in the last 16 matches, galatasaray has a chance to take advantage of this match before traveling to liverpool.

since the starting lineup doesn't include yunus akgün, i think the match will be a bit calmer. i don't think we'll see galatasaray's overly aggressive style of play today.

This season, Liverpool has truly become a different Liverpool from the one we saw last season. The team seems to have lost its chemistry or something. even though they are still coached by the same manager, we can see that the team's cooperation is not as good as last season. The reason for all this may be due to the wrong decisions made at the beginning of the season when the transfer market was still open. We know that Liverpool released several of their important players. They brought in new players who couldn't fully replace those who left. Arne Slot seems to still be searching for the perfect combination for the squad he's built. Last season, he was just lucky to continue with the squad depth built by Klopp. I'm also quite pessimistic about Liverpool in the FA Cup.

impressive performance by Galatasaray today, they’re truly out to compete in this tournament, twice now they’ve beaten Liverpool and I thought Liverpool would have her revenge today but they failed woefully. Though there’s still the second leg to play but with this spirit I don’t think they will knock out Galatasaray.

It is true that Liverpool has still a chance to pass since there is only a single goal difference between them and Galatasaray, especially that the game will also be played in Anfield. The task would be easier for them if they won today's game.
In the other matches being played right now, it appears that Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are on hurry to qualify without waiting for the second leg. So far Atletico Madrid is leading with 4 goals and Bayern Munich with 3. Their rivals still weren't able to score.

The worst hirundines performance by Tottenham that I have seen so far, they are not only poor but bad. Galatasaray have played as well as they can in this first leg match, you should be grateful that even though you don't have more scores, you can at least win this match, Liverpool is not a team that can easily be beaten so you also have to understand.
