However, this victory has further motivated Real Madrid to play the second leg, especially as the confidence of Velverde seems to be returning to the best form he has experienced in previous seasons.

It's not easy for Pep and Manchester City in a next match with this big defeat, they will need to have a perfect performance and result in a second match to flip an aggregated result. It's very hard especially after witnessing how Real Madrid showing their high competitiveness in the first match, and with this big advantage Real Madrid will play the second match with many choices in tactics during that upcoming match. The 3-goal difference is too big disadvantage and Manchester City perhaps can win the second match but not with three goal advantage.

I never expected such humiliation from Atletico Madrid, Tottenham were not able to manage the situation, that really seems like a punishment, Atletico Madrid performed very well and i must say that i liked them in the attacking phase, usually i never like them but this time they did well.

Atletico Madrid is a good team and it seems to me that they have made themselves respected, they are putting in a series of notable performances, i don't know why you say that you don't usually like them in the attacking phase but this last period they are playing very well in the attacking phase, i like them a lot however, i think they will go a long way.

It's not easy indeed, but never underestimate Pep Guardiola, a coach with a wealth of tactical options and the ability to handle pressure. It's worth remembering that Manchester City once defeated Real Madrid 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium. I'm optimistic that Manchester City will stage a comeback in the second leg.

Atletico De Madrid, Manchester City and Inter Milan have all been beaten by Bodo Glimt. Sporting losing 3 nil to Bodo Glimt was very much expected. Bodo Glimt will go far in the UEFEA Champions League this season, I'm quite sure about that. Bodo Glimt is an important team in the uefea champions League. They just know how to couple up with good games and winning big games. They're entirely bringing on one of the best features to the UEFEA Champions League this season. ye, in fact they were unable to implement what they had to do, i understand that there are very important things to do but facing Barcelona is always a very difficult challenge for everyone, but i understand that these players will have been absolutely very concentrated and in fact they equalised, at most Barcelona will have the blame.

Barcelona didn't have a good match obviously it wasn't easy because they were also away from home and is never easy, these teams gave an incredible performance for how they are doing in the championship and for how they usually play, considering that they are far behind in the standings, it was incredible.

We never saw this coming from the very on set, because almost all the teams are trailing by three goals, except Atalanta's situation that is even worse. Newcastle United vs Barcelona and arsenal vs Bayern Leverkusen game, and Liverpool vs Galatasaray are still very open but the rest of other teams all needs to put in an extraordinary effort in the reverse fixtures for them to make it to the next round of the competition. Though in all honesty, I don't believe that all these teams that lost by three goals margin will be knockout, I think that in one or two of these games, their will be a major fight back, which am looking at Chelsea vs psg and Manchester City vs Real madrid, because I believe that these two games are not over yet, they both have the capacity to do a pull back if they can get an early goal in the game.

Bodo/Glimt is an underdog team that can surprise in the quarter-finals later because in this round I am sure Bodo/Glimt will qualify because the goal deficit from Sporting CP will be difficult to catch up even though playing at home, that in the past Inter Milan did not move at home against Bodo/Glimt.
It is possible that later playing away Bodo/Glimt will win because they have good experience away from home this season.

Pep Guardiola plan is to stop Vini in the game but he forgot that Real Madrid is not that kind of team that depends on one player, Real Madrid have many players who are very talented and good when it comes to scoring goals, stopping Vini is the main thing in the game and his plan is to also score many goals in the game because he thinks Real Madrid defense is not good, he started the game with 5 attackers to destroy Real Madrid and he was the one that got defeated in the end.

If Pep Quardiola had Vinicius in mind he was right because Real Madrid actually have players they aim at but however one player cannot be a favourite of all the matches, this round Vinicius was important but now Valverde was the person that scored all the goals, so how is pep Quardiola going to do about the peak of Valverde because he wouldn't have Vinicius alone and if also he concentrated on Valverde Vinicius would be free so is a lot of things for him to bring onboard but another disadvantage that have caught them are the goals and since Valverde is the new play Alvaro Arbeloa have understand his impact his formation would have an exceptional role for him.

I think you are very wrong to confuse Barcelona and Tottenham. Look at Tottenham's position in the Premier League and where Barcelona and Atlético Madrid rank in La Liga. Atlético are certainly far from their golden years, but compared to Tottenham, they're stronger in every way.
Atalanta has no chance even if Bayern plays with ten men for the entire 90 minutes.
If Galatasaray plays as cowardly in the return leg as they did in the return leg against Juventus, they have no chance even for extra time.

Atalanta is already out in my opinion, impossible with 6 goals conceded at home.
Regarding Barcelona, I see them in a good position, but right now what i see isn't happening. i thought Manchester City would destroy Real Madrid, and the opposite happened.
So honestly i am still too shocked to say anything.

I am of same opinion as you, I never taught at the beginning of the champions league to see Bodo/Glimt as a team that will be this brilliant with their performance and will be able to get to this point of the champions league, to think of how they have been able to win some really big teams makes it even more interesting.  I believe they can make it to the quarter finals, I will not really be surprised to see them there.

Real Madrid just seem to be on another level when they play in the champions league, I don't know if it's the champions league anthem or logo that changes the atmosphere for them. It doesn't work all the time but the world has come to know that it's only Real Madrid that takes the champions league more serious than any other team and their fighting spirit in the competition is second to non at least this is a verifiable fact and not an opinion. Seriously, with Joe the team has been, in my wildest dreams I never believed Real Madrid was going to even win let alone score 3 without reply. I took their first meeting into account and after seeing how Manchester City managed to play in that game and at Bernebeu, I was thinking that maybe, they would replicate that again against this very Real Madrid team. But I'm the contrary, they surprised and shocked me at the same time.

Bodo Glimt is such a spectacular club and I’m very impressed and pleased with their performance in the Champions League, they have wonderful players who are very enthusiastic about playing football they look like a team who are hungry, it’s going to be a remarkable achievement if they are able to win the Champions League Title.

Definitely bigger club will be watching what is happening with them and how they are performing, and also watching closely with their players, and I believe there are good players there who are going to make a move to another club most especially bigger club in Europe.

I believe all of them will be eliminated with big defeats in their first leg matches while their opponents are very experienced in Champions League like Atletico Madrid, and PSG. Only Bodo/Glimt does not have a lot of experience there but they are a very impressive underdog in this season and will likely be able to secure big advantage. If they could do that well when playing with Inter Milan, it's not impossible for doing this with Sporting Lisbon.

They faced with high risk of loss when knowing that they will play with Bayern Munich but the first match is actually a nightmare for them. Losing very big like this and more terribly at their home stadium, Atalanta was already eliminated by Bayern Munich after the first leg. They better should forget about Champions League and return to Serie A with best focus so that they can try competing for a fourth position with a little bit of small hope left. Atalanta are weaker than Bayern Munich but losing too big like this ends their hope earlier than expected.

The teams they faced weren’t exactly weak either. but they always managed to win by scores that were almost hard to believe. even in the first leg of the Round of 16, it was already clear that Bodo/Glimt would likely advance to the next round, since they had won the first leg by a landslide, 3-0. I didn’t expect Sporting CP to be defeated like that. It seems Bodo/Glimt is indeed one of the best teams we never expected to make it this far. Still, everything will be much harder in the quarterfinals. And that’s where we’ll see a tougher test.
