Today Real Madrid lost in an impressive way, and at home. Things always go wrong for Real Madrid when they reach these final stages. I don't know what's wrong with them, I don't know what kind of game they want to play, I don't know how they can't win. Bayern is good, but Real Madrid still lost in a way I don't understand. They had everything, no luck, nothing, losing at the Bernabeu. They have to wake up, that's all I can say.

Today’s game is a very good game for Real Madrid, they played really well in the match and I have seen some performance of their players and it showed that they are improving, but Bayern were more clinical than them and they won the game because they played better in the attack than Real Madrid despite missing a lot of chances but Bayern needs to be very serious in the second leg because Real Madrid is an experience team in the Champions League and they can do comeback in the second leg if Bayern Munich didn’t perform well.

Arsenal is still progressing in the Champions league with injuries; they managed to win away from home which is good advantage for Arsenal, and they need to have all players available because they have lost two trophies already.

I saw it completely, what I didn't like was that Madrid let themselves be cornered from the beginning, they were asleep. Why didn't Bayern take advantage? They could have scored more than 4 goals. The defenders gave away balls, the goalkeeper was just there, more or less, more or less than more. I didn't see the explosiveness I expected. I saw a Bayern focused on attack. For a moment I thought it was Barcelona who were playing; they had a similar style. If Madrid doesn't play faster in the first leg in Germany, they could lose. Yes, I acknowledge that it was a good match for Madrid, phenomenal for Bayern, but for Madrid? I admit I expected more.

Bayern Munich, with their team play, have already finished off Real Madrid. Even though the match isn't over yet, the result doesn't look likely to change much for Madrid. Diaz scored before the end of the first half. Bayern Munich's first goal came so easily through passing. With the same passing game, it's impossible for Real Madrid to score. Harry Kane scored the second goal. Real Madrid scored one goal through Mbappe, but let's see if Real Madrid can surprise us, because they've come from behind to win many times in the Champions League.

This game didn't go as many were expecting though i had high expectations on Bayern Munich even when they were winning 2-0 i thought it's going to end like 4-0 but Real Madrid never wanted such humiliation. The game was 50/50 apart that Bayern Munich won 2-1, Real Madrid also played a good football i didn't expect such good performance from them, the fight is not over yet at this moment as everything will end at the Allianz Arena.

Definitely I will agree 2-1 is not really a big gap, in as much as we’ll love to say Bayern is leading we also can’t tell what’s next after this first phase. Second leg is at the corner and if Real Madrid manage to equalize or score beyond then Real Madrid is taking the lead meanwhile it’s impossible to lead so easy knowing fully well Bayern is a really tough club, if the match was really easy then Real Madrid would have won the match instead they’re on the losing side, although I didn’t expect more from Bayern because 2 goals ahead is enough to secure the next spot.

Bayern Munich did not manage the game, the UCL at Santiago Benabue, played way better than Real Madrid, had easy tap in in the first half, but the result is Bayern having one goal lead to take away.
Real Madrid now has an opportunity back, this match should have been done today for Bayern Munich, gnarby and Upamecano misses were astonishing.

It can be seen in today's game that Bayern Munich had most of the possession and missed a couple of chances that would have brought a big difference to the final scoreline. Real Madrid had a good game and are expected to display a better performance in the second leg after a couple of backline mistakes, but still a good display.

Vincent Kompany's side are now a step ahead in qualifying for the semi finals of the Champions league and we look forward to what the final outcome could be. Bayern has had a very good season from the onset and it would be no surprise that they win the Champions League this season.

I don't really know what went down in the Arsenal game because what I saw wasn't the hungry Arsenal that plays the champions league with so much aggression, is that something changed in them...they couldn't act fast enough, still unbeaten in this season's champions league but yet again they played like they have given up or something. Sporting CP didn't torment the Gunners like Southampton did and if this is how the Gunners are going to play till the end of the season then we should be ready to see them lose up to 3 games and cost them something very precious to them.

I already counted the chance Real Madrid had through Vinicius Junior as goal for Real Madrid but I was surprised when he played the ball wide and denied Real Madrid a chance of reducing Bayern Munich advantage. After Vinicius Junior failed to score for Real Madrid, Kylain Mbappe scored for Real Madrid in the 74th minute. The goal has given Real Madrid a good chance to fight for a place in the semi final, but I still believe Bayern Munich would beat Real Madrid at Allianz Arena.

Kylian Mbappe was the one who covered the goal difference and gave them a better chance to fight in the second leg but like you said, they could lose the Away leg also.

Although, we need to add the fact that Bernabue isn't solid as before, thanks to the team being far from it best or inconsistent. This is one reason why they might even be more threat Away and move to the next stage or perform disappointingly through their inconsistencies. Until that day I don't think anyone knows the kind of Real Madrid team they will meet Away.

Yes it was not a good day for Real Madrid as they lost this match, the hope of a comeback did not turn out to be a reality, but in the second half Real Madrid managed to press the gap by narrowing the goal difference, they managed to score 1 goal in this match to 1-2 as the final score in the first leg against Bayern Munich, The second leg could be a good opportunity to catch up, only Real Madrid must visit Bayern Munich which will certainly be more difficult to get mental support from the audience, this is not an easy task but if they are able it is something to be proud of when winning at home, but what I fear is the opposite, they will be slaughtered by Bayern Munich.

This Bayern Munich is really too strong for this Real Madrid team. At times, Real Madrid are almost unrecognisable; they seem like a pale imitation of the team they used to be. Only the occasional moment of brilliance from Valverde, Mbappé and Vinícius can make the difference.

Even if Real Madrid is eliminated from this edition of the Champions League, they won't be harmed. They've won this competition many times; they're the only team to have won it three times consecutively. Even recently, Real Madrid won the Champions League in the 2023-2024 season, so honestly, as a Real Madrid fan, I wouldn't see it as a major setback if they were eliminated this season.

You might not see it as a major setback, but the club management will see it as a setback. Club like Real Madrid are never tired of winning trophies. If it were possible for them to be winning the champions league every season Perez would want that compared to going trophy less this season again. The champions league is the only competition that Real Madrid have to salvage the season. It’s a big blow to Real Madrid that they will go second season in a roll without trophy. Well the fight is not yet over, they still have a chance in the second leg.

Slaughtering is even an understatement here. Real Madrid isn't the same Real Madrid we knew then. Back then, if they had gotten far to this stage in the champions league, they will do all things possible to get the cup. But I don't see that in them anymore. This same team lose this weekend to Mallorca, a team sitting close to relegation. Today again they were beaten at home by Bayern Munich. I don't see any come back in them. To me, they are out already.

Bayern Munich really shocked me with this win against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabue stadium in a Champions League quarter finals first leg game. Real Madrid players would be gutted by this defeat and I’m sure they never saw it coming too. The second leg is really going to be a very tough one as Real Madrid will want to go all out to get a win against Bayern Munich in the alians arena. Though Real Madrid did all they could to win equalize this game after surprisingly going 2:0 down at half time but Bayern held on to their play and defended till the very last minute where it ended 1:2 in favour of Bayern Munich.

I expected Real Madrid to walk away with a draw at least from today’s fixture. I didn’t expect them to settle for a loss but, they gave the game what they could though. There was constant pressure from both sides and it was that entertaining but, Real Madrid has being weak defensively. It’s shown in almost all there games and once more, they made series of errors behind that caused them both goals. Mbappe did a run behind the lines and drew one goal back though, not enough in the end since they were already 2 goals down.

Winning at the Allianz Arena against a dominant team like Bayern Munich is something I don’t see Real Madrid doing but, let’s hope they have some of their cat lives to spare.

Bayern Munich played very well, missed a lot of chances. The win is a narrow win because Real Madrid also had the chance to score a beautiful goal. Vinicius missed a one on one situation. Mbappe missed an R2 chance at the moment when everyone stood up to celebrate, the ball did not get into the goal.

This game could have been a draw game i Real Madrid had converted their chances. The return leg will be entertaining to watch. Real Madrid have a high chance of qualifying after the second leg.

Arsenal went to Lisbon and beat a team that hadn't lost at home in over seven months. If you definitely think Arsenal should be winning this match with over 4 goals you must be joking. Look at that first touch from 29, and the clean finish that came afterwards. Kai Havertz was able to send a goal back home coming in a s a sub.

After the performance tonight, the Gunners have gained their identity back after two consecutive losses against Manchester City in the Carabao cup final and to Southampton in the FA Cup quarter final. TBH, Sporting CP are a good team, Arsenal need more creativity  and desire in the second leg at the Emirate.

In tomorrow Champions League matches, I am interested in the PSG vs Liverpool match. Since everyone is rooting for PSG to win Liverpool, I want to see if PSG will actually win Liverpool.

The first half was fairly even for both teams, but the intensity increased towards the end of the first half and Bayern Munich began to dominate the game and scored two goals.  Overall, both teams performed well, but several opportunities were not capitalized on, resulting in several missed opportunities. Arsenal managed to secure a late winner after Sporting put up a fairly even fight, but unfortunately, they couldn't prevent the goal. The PSG vs Liverpool match is quite exciting, but I hope Liverpool can hold PSG to a draw in the first leg so that Liverpool has a chance to win at home in the second half.

Impressive consistency has kept Real Madrid under pressure from the start of the match to win. The expectation was that Real Madrid would play impressively at home and win to go ahead to the semi-finals of the Champions League but the first leg behind seems uncertain.

In the upcoming two important matches, PSG vs Liverpool and Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid will face each other. Stats and consistency will probably see Liverpool ahead to win and Barcelona will have a better chance of winning the other match.
