I don't see Athletico Madrid losing two straight games against FC Barcelona in less than a week. Even though Barcelona is the favorite going by their last game, Athletico Madrid is going to fight for their life. We should expect a tough game tonight because the both side will come out to get the win because this first leg game is going to be a crucial in determining who makes it to the semi finals of the champions League. This game is open for any of the teams to win it's a 50/50 chance.

Thank god its a well established assumption whose chances of success is very very slim, with the Paris saints Germans squad i see and watched compared to the Liverpool that lost to Manchester City some days ago. I will say it will be a game of goals as Liverpool may go home in tears.

I agree with everything you said, but Atletico Madrid has this nasty attitude when they score a goal and then park the bus or when they see that a draw is possible. For them overtime or penalty shootout would be ok, while Barcelona would like to avoid that. That is why I think today Atletico Madrid will mostly try to not concede a bunch of goals. A 1 goal difference would be ok for them, 2 goals would already hurt, but still possible for them when they play at home.

It is a different thing if you play them at their home stadium, I am sure you know how the stadium and Simeone can freak out.

I agree with you they're building a strong team, but i didn't see them winning Bayern in second leg. Last week i thought the reason Madrid lose to mallorca was due to the Champions League ahead, not knowing that they'll still lose to Bayern in their fans presence no home advantage yesterday between Madrid and Bayern. Bayern can't afford losing to Madrid in second that's just it text is not far we'll see Madrid nockout from champions league next.
