Yes nobody imagine that Barcelona would loss 2-0 at camp Nou with out even them getting a goal, before the game was played i know it will be a difficult game for the two teams though people believe more that Barcelona would win but football is always determine after the last whistle. Barcelona was on a better chance to win Atletico Madrid, Barcelona were more of the ball before the unforseen happens to them they had a red card which at that spot Atletico Madrid score a goal before HT i think this was what spoiled Barcelona play that made the result looks like that, i also think it will be difficult for Barcelona to play the semi final.

Barcelona lost 4:0 to this same Atletico Madrid, the 2-0 is not surprising at all. Barcelona losing at home in a champions league night nobody saw that coming. It will be more difficult when Barcelona meet at Atletico Madrid home. The most haram football will start in the second leg, and it will continue if they scale through Barcelona down to face Arsenal. Atletico Madrid did what they had to do so well, they have no chance left in the league, there are only 2 competitions that they still have a chance to win, that's the Copa del Rey & UCL. Their win at Camp Nou was a result of prioritization. Barcelona has many priorities right now, especially in the league. So, they can't go all-in on the UCL, but still, I think losing at Camp Nou is embarrassing for Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid leads by 2 goals, so both Real Madrid & Barcelona are at a disadvantage in the UCL, will we see the continuation of this competition without the presence of this rival pair?

Of course, Atletico has the chance of winning a trophy this season either in the Champions League or in Copa del Rey. It's good that Atletico was able to make proper use of Barcelona short one to win the gane because that's the only opportunity they had to put themselves in a better position of winning the second leg and qualify to the semifinals. I don't think there's anything Barcelona can do to stop them.

To be honest Barcelona must have something to do to stop Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, because you are right that Atletico Madrid has the potential to win the UCL and Copa del Rey trophies this season, but imagine that Atletico Madrid won the first leg but then we noticed that Barcelona won the second leg of the Copa del Rey 3-0, which was their revenge. Accordingly, we can also imagine that Barcelona might be able to make a revenge comeback again in the second leg of the upcoming Champions League quarter-finals because i believe that will be a decisive match for them to reach the UCL semi-finals.

As Barcelona played against Atletico Madrid in the first leg, it was a very unexpected match because Barca were consistent in almost every match in the previous matches. Flick had planned a strategy for his players but Atletico Madrid defense ruined their plans. I don't think Barcelona can do much in the second leg because Atletico Madrid showed their strength and they will want to play well in the next match. If Barca can make a revenge comeback, it will be impressive because if they can secure the semi finals, they will have a much better chance of winning the trophy in the final.

Let’s say they manage to  beat Barcelona ... in that case, they’ll most likely face Arsenal in the semi-finals and I don’t think Arsenal would be an easy opponent for  Atletico to beat. Arsenal have been quite impressive this season and I think they’re still  stronger than Atletico Madrid, so I reckon Atletico will lose when they face Arsenal. And how can people be so sure that Arsenal has secure a chance of making it to the semi final, to me i think Sporting CP is still got some chance of making it to the next round, it's just a goal, and Sporting CP can actually reciprocate that so people should not be too sure that Arsenal has made it to the next round, and for Atletico Madrid if the should get pass Barcelona in this round then i can clearly tell if they should meet with Arsenal in the semi final it's never safe for Arsenal not because Diego Simeone is well experience but for the kind of spirit those guys are playing with in the competition.

Sporting cp shouldn't be written off now those who watch this match won't just be sure or conclude that sporting Lisbon is already out of the tournament, people who didn't watch but just saw the score on flashscore will conclude that sporting cp doesn't have any hope of winning Arsenal in the second leg or to qualify. Sporting has ones go down 3-0 in their first leg against Bodo and later qualify in the second leg, 1-0 is not a good scoreline to conclude that sporting Lisbon has been eliminated they played more than Arsenal in the first leg Arsenal was just lucky to get that late goal.

I agree that there should not be any reason for any of the clubs to be understimated just according to you, despite how unserious athletico Madrid has been in this few years back, they are not as bad as we think although I understand they area you are coming from, but I do not agree with you on what you said about arsenal, in the UEFA champions League competition, I will count Bayern before Arsenal,  Bayern might succeed in wining that competition this season, there performance is good, that is my prediction but we can still see a different scenario at the end since we know that, this is football.

Just because Bayern is playing in Spain doesn't mean their fanbase isn't there. Even hardcore fans travel from Germany, and that's normal for them.

The second leg will certainly be difficult for Madrid. They still have a chance, but that doesn't guarantee victory, as Bayern Munich will certainly try to increase their goal tally.

How fast things changed. I remember correctly Arsenal had less than 3.00 odds to win UCL, and they're now almost having the same odds as PSG and Bayern. So i think the current winner of UCL is hardly unpredictable. However, i watched their games, yet i think PSG is likely to lifting the UCL again.
I rate them as the strongest team, though they're not leading the lead in the outright to win UCL. However, their gameplay, composure, and pattern are the best in UCL.

They also sent most of EPL clubs go back to the home. So i think they're really underrated team at this moment. Back to back UCL winner is very possible to happen.

As for Arsenal, i don't say Arsenal is bad, but they have no yet fought the strong team so far. So it's hard to meter their performance compared to the PSG or Bayern. It's my reason to put PSG to lead as the favorite to win UCL again.

We can't be absolutely sure Bayern will eliminate Real Madrid, because the difference between them isn't that big. Things could suddenly change in Real Madrid's favor in Germany. However, I'm almost certain Paris Saint-Germain will win against Liverpool in England and advance to the semi-finals. Whether they face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, Paris Saint-Germain will be fighting to reach the final with their best performance. They are progressing very well towards their goal of winning the Champions League for the second time this year. By the way, Mendes is truly an extraordinary player.

One goal sounds very simple and easy to get but in reality Real Madrid may be looking for 1 goal to cancel the advantage of Bayern Munich but they will end up conceding another goal now they will play with fear and carefulness. Bayern Munich's home advantage is also a big plus but when playing against a big threat like Real Madrid toy become calculative and take chances that comes your way because Real Madrid doesn't care if they are away or home they can get a good result anywhere even when Bayern Munich is in a better form.

Barcelona failed to secure a win against Atlético Madrid in their home match. Cubarsi was shown a red card, leaving his team down to 10 men, and Madrid went into halftime with a 1-0 lead. Despite being down to 10 men in the second half, Barcelona continued to press forward without letting up. Although Barcelona dominated the match, they were unable to secure the win, putting their chances of advancing in jeopardy.

Barcelona football team performance was very bad because they could not perform well in the last match and Alvarez was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 45 minutes of the match and he gave good start to his team. The shots of Atlético Madrid football team were less in this match and these were only 5 and 3 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was 45 percent in this match and passes of that team were 421 in this match. The pass accuracy of that team was only 88 percent in this match and opponent team effort was great in this match and their possession was at top but they could not do any goal till end. Sørloth was a person who did second goal of the match and he did this goal at 70 minutes of the match.

We are making the same point here, and that is what i was explaining to giorgione, if Real Madrid vs any team in my country is playing against each other, there will still be Madrid fans in the stadium, Madrid fans of different race will fill up the stadium.

I think Barcelona started the game very well, but I think the red card changed everything and to makes thing worst Atletico Madrid scored from the resulting free kick, which made them even more relaxed all through the game and continued in their defensive play. Barcelona still played well after the red card, but Atletico Madrid where determined to defend their lead and they end up scoring another goal to make it 2-0. To be sincere I don't see Barcelona coming back from this in the second leg, because Atletico Madrid really enjoys defending, and they are also playing at home, so I think they will still stick to their plan. Anyways this is football and everything is possible,  but I think the chances of a come back for Barcelona is very slim.
