It is not enough to just say they scored a goal, but did you see the goal? Did you see how well they played, like a world-class team with Hakimi back?

I think many people will see teams like Nigeria, Egypt, and Senegal as likely winners of this AFCON, but we should not write off the host.

This year AFCON is showing that African football have truly evolved and have gotten to a height where it needs to be more competitive when it comes to the world stage of which morroco the host nation showcase very well in the world cup at Saudi Arabia, morroco put out an excellent performance that even got them to the quarter finals of the competition which is something that only rare African teams merit or have struggled to reach. As for the contenders, I think Ivory Coast the previous winners too need to be check as they too can cause major upset for any team in the AFCON.

I get where you're going, they messed up big time but haven't you noticed that this very Super Eagles are different from the ones that played in the World Cup qualification? Same players but different energy, they can do better but the only thing is not to rely on the 100% because anything that may annoy we the supporters can happen. We are in a very hard phase now where if any country is beaten that is the end so now they can do better to avoid defeat no matter who they face, that I believe. I call it medicine after death. I feel that being present in the world cup is the best thing Nigerians wanted because it's been a long time since Nigeria took part in the world cup. I have not followed up the AFCON for a while because of the season and its hectic nature, ranging from travelling to seeing new people in the season. So, what is the stand of the super eagle's and when I they having their next match.

There is nothing like a less favourite in my opinion Morocco in the last few years have been excellent in the international tournament but let’s be honest they do not replicate such performance in AFCON tournaments and as such they are equally just favourite as Nigeria and EGYPT but to me one country with the most balanced squad in this tournament is the Senegalese team who to me should either be higher up on the favourite list or on same par as the other three. Also the defending champions too have not been that really bad although not that exceptional but we all know that this is how they mostly play till they win it.

I wouldn’t say Nigeria should actually underestimate the Mozambique team but let’s be honest this is a very different situation than the both you mentioned. For me both of the other countries before the game actually stood a chance while it is not the same for Mozambicans players but they needed some moral lifter and the president has definitely provided it, nonetheless I expect Nigeria to be winning this game much easily

Apart from the experience you discussed here which happened in the 2024 CAF African Cup of Nations final, is there any other time that an African president made a pledge to his team and it worked?
Now let me assume that it's happened severally before now but the truth is I strongly believe that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are surely one of the best  in the tournament and will progress to the next round regardless of whether Mozambique president pledges them or not.

I don't think motivating players before a tough match is the sensible thing to do, but that's my opinion! Although it is a normal thing that so many countries have done in the past, i personally don't think it will change anything in the pitch because clearly the Super Eagles have the stronger squad if we are to compare the two teams man to man and in this tournamnet, the super eagle have really shown team work and they have improved their style of play so tomorrow's match should be a winnable one for them, but football can be full of surprises so i will not write off mozambique just yet.

In my opinion, the strongest team in this tournament is not Morocco, but Senegal and Nigeria. Cameroon has been lucky so far, but I highly doubt that their luck will lead them to become champions. However, Nigeria and Senegal have the potential to reach the final and become champions. They can play good football and have a good attack. If my country's national team, which isn't strong, had played with all its best players, they would have won or drawn against Cameroon in the group stage. That's why I see Nigeria and Senegal as the strongest teams.

There have been teams where the players were promised money to win the Super Eagles, but still they could not. The Mozambique players need more than the incentive to win the Super Eagles, they need to put their backs to work because the Super Eagles team are showing signs of seriousness in this competition and will be difficult to beat.

How then will you know your team is the best when they don't face the best teams? Im not talking about Nigeria Vs South Africa alone I'm speaking on general term. For you to be the best, you must first prove yourself among the very best, that's how a true champion is determined in my opinion. Now that South Africa has been eliminated, the coach can now go back to South Africa and enjoy himself there because few days ago, I came across his press conference when he something like Morocco was boring that the organisation was poor. I'm not in the country presently watching the games to determine if it true of the boringness of the tournament but I can now say, his team has been relieved and they can now go back home to enjoy themselves.

It did happened but this is a different chapter all together and if the other countries are hoping on using what our government always use to motivate the Super Eagles against us then they should be ready for what's coming, disappointment from different corners. I haven't heard of our president saying anything concerning this game but the Mozambique president started it by promising the players, is a good one and I believe the Super Eagles will use that as a motivation to beat Mozambique today and we shouldn't forget that the countries who have us headache in the world cup qualifiers are being shown the exit door one after the other, Mozambique will have to join them.

Why are you happy that South Africa are out, They’re obviously not the reason why the Nigerian Super Eagles didn’t qualify for the World Cup, Looking at the Nigerian Super Eagles they’re a very unserious team, they had the chance to qualify for the World Cup through the group stages and Playoffs, what did they do they wasted the opportunity with lackluster performance against the DR Congo after messing themselves up in the group stages, and going on strike because of unpaid wages, it’s shameful and disgraceful to keep supporting the Nigerian Super Eagles.

However I’m expecting the Nigerian Super Eagles to be out of the AFCON Tournament soon, they should enjoy an easy encounter against Mozambique, if they’re able to beat the Mozambique team it will not be easy for them in their next game, they wouldn’t get an easy encounter anymore, I want to see the Super Eagles work their ass off in performance, I will find it difficult to forgive this Super Eagles team for not qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.
