Poorly teams faced by Nigeria if you seeing the match statistic, since the early minutes Mozambique get difficulty controlling the match and during 90 minutes without any one shot on target and made 2 shot of target. Drastically difference statistic of Nigeria teams success creating 9 shots on target and scoring 4 goals than made 21 shots overall, Victor Osimhen and Lookman played well last night by scoring each two and one goal helped Nigeria qualify to quarter final.

Osimhen owes his teammates an apology for that behaviour on the field. You cannot behave like that just because a pass didn't come your way, that is disgusting and inexcusable.

As a professional footballer, you have to respect your teammates and the country or club your represent and that behaviour was anything but respectful. It is okay to be angry if a pass doesn't come your way or if you make runs and your teammates don't release the ball, every striker doesn't like that, but to react in that way is unacceptable and even ask to be substituted, hell no. The manager has to address that in the dressing room, so his arrogance does not bring disunity within the team.

That said, i agree with you that Nigeria looks like the favorites for the title. But i would hold my horses and not count my chickens before they are hatched.

Since the score turned in favour of Nigeria, are lot of praises have been given to the super eagles of Nigeria because of there supremacy on the game against Mozambique without even considering how the super eagles behave when once hope is entrusted in there hands in critical moments. Know doubt they are considered favourite to win the tournament but from by out thought i don't think the super eagles becoming the winner of tournaments at last.

Nigeria dominated the match without even giving the Mozambique players breathing space, I don't even think they got any shot on target. Our defense was a strong wall that couldn't be penetrated. Iwobi showed his masterclass yesterday with those crazy passes he gave. Ndidi  too was great.  Nigeria has playing differently since the start of this Afcon, they now attack more and that's what I like. It's not like the last one we played that when we score 1 goal we park the bus till full time. Then as for Osimhen attitude, I don't know what is wrong with him, he shouldn't have clashed with his teammates like that, especially while on pitch, it could give our opponents opportunities to use that against us. We need unity if we want to win this cup.

Honestly I am a bit skeptical about the Super Eagle's performance against the next stage of the quarterfinals especially if they have to face the Egyptian guys with Mo Salah in the game, we have to be very serious with ourselves and Osimhen and Lookman needs to work hand in hand to achieve this. I am very confident and optimistic about our guys but they also need to work hard to gain our support the more. Egypt won't be ready to lose to any team. The Super Eagle guys can get strong one minute and weak the other once they feel they've lost the grip or when they get too comfortable with winning like they did yesterday. With the way the Mozambique defense was weak and the goalkeeper was a total mess, Nigerians would have won more goals if they were not relaxed at some ppoint.

Yes, you are right. Nigeria will hardly meet Egypt now, unless in the final, which, for them to make it to the finals, will not be an easy task. As we know, any of their opponents, whether DR Congo or Algeria, Nigeria will win them. On the other side, Cameroon will be playing with Morocco. There is a possibility that Morocco will likely be the ones to meet Nigeria at the semi-finals, which will not be an easy match. So, Egypt will find it easy to reach the final, which is where I think they might face Nigeria. The Super Eagles are doing well, and I hope they will be able to win them in AFCON this time around.

He was in a better position, but Lookman decided to strike. This wouldn't have caused such a degree of anger and verbal attack. Victor even disrespected Captain Ndidi by pushing him aside when he tried to stop the confrontation. It was shameful since Nigeria was winning the game and he had already scored two goals.

As much as I love and respect the Galastataray striker, I don't like his issues with anger. He should be humble and respectful because top clubs might not want a player with such behavior. He should apologise to Lookman, the team, and Nigerians.

This was a Mozambique side that troubles the cameroonian and ivory Coast team, but our own super eagles easily brushes them aside by showing them their superiority from start to finish, so we should focus more on that than victor osimhen controversial outburst with ademola lookman.

Honestly, the coach needs to make peace between the players in that dressing room, otherwise they will just end up having different factions in that squad. Now we are at the crucial part of the tournament and we need our top guyz to have a very clear mind and also work extensively well as a team. Victor was furious because he was on a hat-trick mode! which he would have gotten if by chance he had received that last past from Lookman, but Lookman is also an attacker so he had to shot at the goal post as well!!!.. Selfishness is part of every attackers makeup especially if the team is aready ahead by comfortable goals. I believe they will sort themselves out before the next game.

This has nothing to do with Nigerians. If any player behaves in this way towards his teammates in the EPL for example, the English media will be going on about it for a long time. People are allowed to discuss what they want to, you are the one who is trying to make it a Nigerian thing/problem, when it it not.

The result was excellent, what a great performance from the Super Eagles and on we go. But Osimhen's behavior took the gloss off the victory and that is unacceptable, he should have apologised by now, but i guess he wouldn't, because he thinks he is bigger than the team. Don't get me wrong, i love Osimhen, i have called him our "starboy" on numerous occasions in this topic, but his behaviour is inexcusable. Remember his infamous outburst against our former coach and legend Finidi George?

Victor should do better, it is not all about him, like he tries to make it out most times.

I listened to the press conference of our coach Eric chelle, and with what he said about the incident convinced me that he is a top professional that knows his job.
He was asked what he has to say about the incident between ademola lookman and Victor osimhen, and how he wishes to address it later on, he just wave it away and said that it's an internal issue that will be addressed privately.

no game is exactly that easy, but what I think is that Nigeria Super Eagles need to make up for all their incompetence, and they did not even give Mozambique a single chance in yesterday's game. It was so complicated that I'm sure they were not expecting the game to turn out that way, and I'm just surprised how they are so active in the AFCON, and I loved the turnout yesterday, it was so amazing to watch, and even the way Victor was active, he does not disappoint because scoring two goals shows a lot of commitment from him. they actually prepared well for yesterday's game.

Lookman's contribution was just exceptional because, aside from the one goal he scored, he also gave an assist to Victor, and I should even talk about who the man of the match is. To me, the person who deserves it is none other than Lookman because he was everywhere and he was ready to give out his best contribution to yesterday's game.  And one of the key players of Galatasaray is Osimhen, so one way or the other, they will figure something out. no problem that does not have a solution.

Galatasaray will have to wait after final before they will see Victor Osimhen because i don't think there is an country that can stop Nigeria not to play final.
The Super Eagles are doing well they never perform this way during the world cup qualifier if they had put such effort they would have qualify, they dominated Mozambique yesterday and won 4-0 Victor Osimhen and Lookman scored two goals each whick was lovely and i don't think any African country has the kind of players Nigeria have so i will say we have already won the African cup of Nation title.

 I am so happy for the performance of Nigeria in this tournament because its something I've not seen in them in a while. I have seen them in tournaments trying to struggle but the first time in a long while, Nigeria is playing and winning all their games, even making sure they score goals in the process which if you know them, once they score one, the opponent must equalize and they'd then be content to share points but it wasn't the same yesterday as the Super Eagles were able to maintain a clean sheet and even score 4 goals, something we've not seen in this competition.

I've noticed some obnoxious behavior from Victor Osimhen and I must say it's becoming disturbing in the sense that his attitude could cost the team some important points if he's not called to order. Some might argue that he's just giving encouraging words and adding ginger to his teammates but if you check, it's disrespectful to always yell at your teammates when the ball doesn't get to you. The team has to be united if they want to go far because opponents can see their division and take advantage of it.

And Victor Osimhen just double the score with assist from Ademola Lookman. Although, no team can be underrated when it comes to tournament like this but this is a must win match for Nigeria. Considering how Nigeria has been playing from the group stage conceding goal in every match played in the group stage, I wasn't at peace being one goal ahead because our defence is not reliable but since we are two goals ahead now before the half time, we can at least have some relief. I hope we can win this match with a cleansheet for the first time in this year AFCON.

Well guy the super eagles guys really made my day honestly speaking when I such their at some point i was wondering if they could win the game completely but it came to an end with a good result for the super eagles guys all thank to their hard work and experience not even minding what there are passing through from the NFF this show that there are the bigger boys, Ademola Lookman was really on top of his best shoots today this shows that they are perfectly capable to win the game for this season, well but on a second thought this happened last years when the super eagles made us believe in them well at the end it was a rig game…

I was so happy when the super eagles of Nigeria were drawn against Mozambique because with the way Mozambique performed in the group stage of the Afcon and the way the super eagles of Nigeria performed in the group stage of the Afcon, i knew Mozambique couldn't match the super eagles of Nigeria. I was so happy how the super eagles of Nigeria dominated Mozambique from the start of the match to the end, and they scored 4 goals against Mozambique to win the match and ensure they maintain their perfect start in the Afcon tournament.

Nigeria started strong and scored in the first 20 minuues of the game, scoring another goal minutes after the first. I particularly liked that Nigeria played well and didn't conceive any goal in return. I knew Mozambique wouldn't be that much of a threat to Nigeria but I had thought they could manage to score a goal.
Nigeria had a really good performance and was rewarded with 4 goals. Really amazing performance from the lads.

I don’t think this Super Eagles team are outstanding, because they’ve not really played a very good opponent, all the games they have played are games they’re meant to win on paper, When was the last time have we seen this Super Eagles team running a riot against an opponent that should tell you that this game was already lost before it was played, I’m still yet to be convinced about the Nigeria Super Eagles, I’m waiting when they will play DR Congo or Algeria, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, this are team that I’m waiting for the Super Eagles to play against and if they come out Victorious then I will have to be convinced that they are a good team.

Victor Osimhen has been an arrogant player right from his time at Napoli so his behavior is not something new anymore and this is not an issue that the coach can address but he himself should learn to be of good behavior to his team mates and not act as if he is too superior to others, he is a great striker but he should know that in the pitch of play everyone is equal regardless of how much they earn individually. This is the reason why i love Lionel Messi because i haven't seen him get angry unnecessarily at his team mates so Osimhen should learn from such people and know that he still have a future ahead of him which he doesn't know if some of his team mates might be better than him. Nigeria has a perfect squad currently so Victor Osimhen should respect other players so that he doesn't cause segregation in the team.

As for who will win the tournament, Nigeria stands in a better chance but they should not allow their confidence to get to their head. They must remain focused till they reach the finals.

I know you are disappointed and angry with the super eagles of Nigeria for not qualifying for the upcoming world cup, and that could be the reason you are not impressed with the super eagles' performance in the Afcon tournament, but you should not allow that to make you discredit the efforts the super eagles of Nigeria have put in the Afcon tournament to get to the level they are at the moment. Even if the super eagles of Nigeria have not played against a very good opponent in the Afcon tournament for us to know how they will perform, i am very proud with the current performance of the super eagles of Nigeria because i didn't expect them to perform this way after the disappointing world cup qualifiers they experienced last year.

In some way you could be right, I just checked their opponents they have faced of late, and I see Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique not so much of an opposition if we are to be truthful!

But the stage we have got to, I think the last result should give them confidence to face whoever will be next but it will be a bumpy road going forward because competition just got real!!

It will be sad to see them packing just after winning big Otherwise they have the firepower upfront!

Btw are we saying Morocco the hosts will easily win this...
