The match between Algeria players and the Nigeria super Eagles just ended few minutes ago 0:2 very good defeat. and frankly speaking I was really impressed with the  super Eagles performance in that match, although the Nigeria super Eagles wasted a lot of opportunities they had in scoring more goals in that match, but it's fine we still won, beside wining is the most important thing and not the how many gools that was been scored.

The Nigeria super Eagles is showing potential of winning this AFCON competition, and if they continue with this their present performance am pretty sure they will be lifting the title.
Yes, this Nigeria Super Eagles are showing potential to win this AFCON competition as we saw that they played with great artistry against Algeria today, I'm very happy that my country was able to win in the quarter-finals. Actually, before the match started, we were confident that Nigeria would win because they had a stronger attacking line than Algeria, maybe everyone has probably seen this. Victor Osimhen, Akor Adams and Ademola Lookman played very well today in the quarter-finals of the AFCON competition you are right that the Super Eagles wasted a lot of chances in this game, but my idea they will be able to play more carefully in the semi-final match against Morocco.

The super eagles of Nigeria has found their glory days back from the way that they have been playing in this competition so far especially in the last two games, the team has become more coordinated and play with a good sense of purpose and determination. The best part of it is that, the super eagles defense which were very weak and was conceiving goals easily is so coordinated that they have not conceived any goals in the last two games they have played. This is a good one let see how the super eagles are going to play against the host in the semi finals.

A different point of view in the Algeria vs Nigeria game, this is the main test the Super Eagles have faced going into this competition, they played like a different team and some of those energy they put especially the europe base player we all saw it in this game. This game got me asking, where was all these commitment the Eagles gave in this tournament? If we had played the way we did tonight I don't see any team robbing shoulders with us in the qualifiers for the world cup, South Africa are good but they couldn't have given us any form of stress. A good win for the Eagles and I hope they continue to improve in any game or team they come across with, next stop is Morocco.

This statement is soo true, if the Super Eagles was putting 50% of this current performance in the World Cup 26 qualifications, we would have been in the world cup right now, honestly with this performance from Nigeria there is a sure chance they might win the AFCON. Osimhen is actually giving it his all and Iwobi has actually started running, did you guys see that play he facilitated that led to that Akor Adams goal ? That pass was masterclass then Ndidi and Osayi too, infact the whole team is putting in the work.

Despite what the Super Eagles played in the first half by missing all the opportunities and not scoring a single goal, for me, I can very much say I'm super satisfied with the Super Eagles return in the second half of the game, because it wasn't even up to 3 minutes enter the second half that Victor Osinhem scored the first goal of the game at exactly 47 minutes, which was a very happy moments, and 10 minutes after Akor Adams scored the second goal of the game at exactly 57 minutes. Hence, making it 2 goals to nil against Algeria right now at 88 minutes into the game, despite the Super Eagles having 1 yellow card and Algeria having straight 5 yellow cards. So I'm happy for the Super Eagles to playing excellently today, because we have won this game.

Before the start of this competition and judging how unserious the Nigerian team was during the qualification of the world cup, I was like, this unserious team will not go far in the Nations cup tournament but here they are right from their opening match, they have been so impressive so far in this competition and I'm proud of them. Their next game will be against the host, which will be a tough one for both team as the are both in tremendous form. Morocco will want to win so they can decide their ticket to the finals, Nigeria on the other hand will also want to win as this is the only tournament left for them. No action for them in June/July when the WC will kickoff. Next up in the remaining fixture of the QF is the one of the Egypt Vs the defending champions.
You shouldn’t get carried away by the performance of the Super Eagles, because I think there is nothing guaranteed for them just yet, it was a good game for the Nigerian Super Eagles, and still I’m not impressed with their performance, because Algeria looked like a team who aren’t serious in the game, they were Literally outplayed by the Super Eagles, which was unexpected considering their performance against DR. Congo.

Congratulations to the Super Eagles for progressing to the semifinals of the AFCON, but I must say their is no guarantee they are going to win the Trophy, so now they have to show themselves against Morocco the host nation, which will not be an easy game for Nigeria Super Eagles.

Of course, no one has a guarantee of winning the trophy yet, even the host nation, everyone is hoping to go far and win at last, but no one has no guarantee, that's it. I remember you said you are not impressed with the super Eagles and that all the teams they played in the group stage are not a real test, now they have gone ahead and won Algeria 2:0, and you are still reapeting the same statement. Look, I'm football, no team or stage is simple or not difficult to play, we should appreciate them for going so far and are doing well. They have failed us several time, yea, but now that they are doing well, let's hope they keep up. If they also fail too, it's still normal, it's football, and someone must loose. Kudos to the super Eagles, they are really doing well and they should continue

Even though the Super Eagles didn't score all the chances they had in the first half, they should have at least scored one goal in the first half so that Algeria wouldn't play a low block game in the second half and make it difficult for the Super Eagles to score goals. But if the Super Eagles maintain their dominance in the second half, I am quite sure they will beat Algeria and proceed to the semi final.
In my over two decades of watching the Super Eagles of Nigeria, I've actually haven't seen them perform at the top of their game like they did today in their CAF African Cup Of Nations quarter final game against Algeria. Right from the kickoff whistle till the final whistle, Nigeria were dominant like they were playing an amateur team but no, they were playing against the same Algerian side that eliminated them from the same competition in the past. If Nigeria can continue to play like this, I won't be surprised to see them win the AFCON this year.

This your statement is really on point, if you take a deep dive into this year's AFCON, you can definitely see that the African football is actually turning up, at this point I feel there is no small team, you can see the big upgrades in tactics and plays. Currently big teams are struggling to win matches soo definitely any team cannot be underestimated.

Shockingly, 4 minutes in, Egypt are taking the lead over Cote d'Ivoire, a goal from Omar Marmoush has put them to an advantage but Cote d'Ivoire are struggling to get back so we don't know what will happen till the end.

Initial at first i thought it was going to be tough of game for the Super Eagles due to how good the Algerian team has preform but it was am easy win for the Super Eagles to forward to the semi final of the AFCON.
I was also thinking the match will be a difficult one for the super eagles, but it was an easy win for them. Before the match started, I wasn’t so confident in the super eagles to win the match, just because of Algeria performance in their previous matches, and am not always so confident in the super eagles whenever they are playing base on how they performed in the World Cup qualifiers.

The super eagles dominated the match in the first half of the match, they had some changes but missed all, I was thinking the second half of the match was going to be different and Algeria will step up, but the super eagles scored two goals in the second half of the match.

The biggest country I was fear for Super Eagles is Algeria and Morocco, and now that they’ve passed through the country after they performed very well in the match. Because I’m so surprised when I saw their results against the Algeria I was so happy because it wasn’t easy, but with their much efforts they Nigeria where able to make it happen and score to two goals; which was a great achievement for super Eagles.

Now we move directly to the Semi-final which is against Morocco, I’m expected Nigeria to do more than what they did today against Algeria they should multiple it by 2 in order for them to advance to the final stage of the tournament.

So far 3 teams on the right has been sent home remaining only Ivory Coast and currently Egypt is leading them with 1 - 0 which means, if the match ends in favour of Egypt, all the 4 trams in the right has gone home. What a coincidence that all the team on the left are all going through and the ones on the right are all going home, if only, just imagine someone picked all the teams in the left to qualify and staked it, by now the person would have been waiting just this match between Egypt and Ivory Coast. 20 minutes gone and the Manchester City man Marmoush's strike is the difference and what separates these 2 sides at the moment.

Some minutes into the first half game and the super eagle team has been absolutely impressive in this first half game and they're mounting serious pressure on the Angola team side, and where there should have been an account opening goal from Victor Oshimen but a lot chances are being missed. With the way I'm seeing how super eagle is handling their opponent team, there's no doubt they won't be getting a victory out of this match and advance into the next stage.
I think there was a mistake from your own side. Nigeria is playing Algeria and not Angola. Meanwhile, I missed the time of the match. I thought it was by 5pm, which actually is the time. But I didn't think 5pm was close, so I slept off. I am just waking now to realise that the match has gone 43 mins already.

So, I am going to watch just the second half now and I will be optimistic if the Nigerian super Eagles will be able to win this one. I am actually seeing the super eagles as the favourites to win this year's AFCON. It will only happen if they are able to survive today's meeting with the Algerians

Aw! That's actually a typo from my grammar prediction keyboard, Yes I was actually meaning to write Algeria, not Angola.
Obviously the match was much more interesting during the second session of the match, and I haven't watched the super eagle team shown this kind of amazing performance for a long period of time if not since after the era of Stephen keshi, they dominated the game both in scores and in ball possession, number of shots on target and even in yellow card concieved.

Not acknowledging the threat that Nigeria actually represents to other teams in this AFCON is a mistake, a mistake Algeria just got to realize today. Nigeria has one of the best teams in the AFCON and have gone about dominating almost all of their fixtures. Just look at Algeria playing absolutely nothing and not getting any chances at goal, the Super Eagles where good both in defense and offense, they controlled the entire game and deserves to progress in the AFCON.

The Super Eagles have already surpassed my expectations for this tournament and they seems to be improving with each game. They outplayed Algeria so well that they couldn’t even get a shot on target. Stanley Nwabali the Nigerian Goalkeeper just had a rest day at the field, nothing to stress him at all.
The super Eagles dominated in almost every aspect of the game today, the Scoreline should have be more than two if they utilised most of those clear cut chances.
Everyone can See VICTOR OSIMHEN is the heartbeat and machine of this team, he could have easily scored a second goal but he wants to carry everybody along.
Congratulations Super Eagles, on to the next.

It's not without saying that Nigeria are in much control of the game and detecting the momentum of the game so far but am not still impressed by how the boys are missing the crucial chances we are having on goal. One of many was that of Akor who gave a wayward shot to that one on one opportunity with the Algeria goalkeeper, a ball he would have given it a carpet kick he instead chipped it over the goalpost in that close range with the goalie. This isn't a game that should go into extra halves for Nigeria.
Nigeria is not only in control, they are wining infact they have won, to be sincere, for a very long time, I have not been happy when the suppers eagle play, but Nigeria super eagles has shown a lot of seriousness in this competition it means this guys were very much prepared for this competition, from day one of this competition tol this time, I do not think that Nigeria super eagles has draw any match, what a great display by the Nigerian side, although they missed they missed some chances but at this time what they needed is to win and they have achieved it, congratulations to the super eagles of Nigeria, the continued consistency of the eagle a a sign that they are ready to win the trophy this time.
Nigeria showed up in this encounter against Algeria and it paid off with a 2:0 victory for them. There was a display of team work among the Nigeria players and we can see it in the way the two goals in the game came about . What I wasn't happy about was how Nigeria were wasting chances and it should be looked into for correction when they play against the host country Morocco,  because Morocco is going to be the toughest opponent we will be playing against in this AFCON and winning is equally to already winning this AFCON.

Nigeria defeating Algeria tonight was not strange to e because I did not see what specular football style that Algeria is playing. Unlike the Algeria we do know, they have been lucky to get to the quarter. DR Gabon had many opportunities but could not convert any of them. I want to believe that the Nigerian Super Eagles are ready to win this trophy even though several polls and predictions did not rate them among the top contender. Egypt is leading Ivory Coast by a goal in first half which signal that they might win the match.

Congo.

The last time I read your post about the Super Eagles and Algeria match, you were sounding much convincing that Algeria was going to be the end of the the Nigerian side. How come today you are saying the Algerian team were looking like they were not serious. Their unseriouness were because the Nigerian side outplayed them. You can't tell me the Algerian team that didn't lose any match since the beginning of the AFCON were not serious with match. Did you watch the build up to the match to see how the Algerian team and their fans were bantering the Super Eagles. So I don't believe you when you said the Algerians were not serious with today's match.

The way this team is playing right now, I don't think there is any team in this competition that won't feel their pressure if they get to face off with each other. Morroco the host nation will be our next encounter and they too must be feeling the heat right now as they have seen the ability and the capabilities of the super eagles so they will definitely be on edge when they meet with the super eagles because with what am seeing even morroco will have a hard time playing us.

No hyping but I don't think there's any team that plays more better than the Super Eagles, if you ask me about last AFCON the Eagles are not even close to the top 5 teams to win the competition or get to the finals because we have Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast the host even Algeria was doing better than they are now so this performance is the best I have seen in a long while for the Eagles. Now Morocco haven't played a side that is as good as Nigeria both in the attack and defense, is like if the don't get to the finals they have failed the supporters, is normal to feel that way and that's why they are always trying to get the first goal in every game they play, they are not as good as they are hyped.

Honestly speaking, I didn't see any big chances they missed in that first half, apart from that clear chance 1v1 from Akor Adam that he sent over the crossbar which was the right move but just slightly overhit. Overall Nigeria continue to impress us, not to spit on any teams face but Algeria is not a threat currently, the teams am afraid of is Morocco, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Algeria still continued with there defence with no big attacking threat, still no shots on target is a bit abysmal.

Yeah Nigeria didn't miss any big chances in the first half. Victor Osimhen chance he didn't hold onto the ball to create space for himself. It was Akor Adam chance that was the only one cleared chance that they missed in the first half. But what gives me joy is these are the two players that helped Nigeria get victory today.

Super Eagles performance this time is far better than the previous one because Eric Chelle possession game has favoured them. I thought Mahrez would be a threat for Nigeria today, but Onyemaechi took him completely out of the game which was why they had to sub him.

This is really incredible like it was a revenge well taken I can still flash back in 2019 AFCON where this same Algeria actually humiliated Nigeria, with Mahrez scoring a dying minutes free kick it was so bad for the super Eagles and the whole of Nigeria I think it's really a pay back time for them and they really have it the way they never expected kudos to the super Eagles they've really make us proud, now I'm very much sure that whom ever we meet in the semis we are winning them because we can't afford to lose this year AFCON trophy like we did last time, this is exactly the time for us to explore.

On the balance of play I am enjoying Nigeria football far more than any other country, the only country that has played such good football in this tournament is Morocco but I enjoy Nigeria football more than Morocco football and I am not saying this because I am a Nigerian.
Algeria is a great country in Africa football so the way Nigeria dominated Algeria was what I wasn’t expecting.
Yeah Nigeria is playing very well this time around and I’m really enjoying their pattern of football and if they continue with this kind of pattern they will lift the Africa Cup of Nation, I predicted Nigeria to win and after the first half I became disappointed at Nigeria because they were missing a lot of chances, and they really deserve the win because they performed very well they did better than Algeria. I’m so happy that Nigeria won the match. They should keep up the good work. I believe they will win the African cup of nation. Victor and Adam missed some chances in the first half and in the second half they made us happy. Congratulations to Nigeria super eagles they did very well and made Nigeria proud .
