Nigeria defeating Algeria tonight was not strange to e because I did not see what specular football style that Algeria is playing. Unlike the Algeria we do know, they have been lucky to get to the quarter. DR Gabon had many opportunities but could not convert any of them. I want to believe that the Nigerian Super Eagles are ready to win this trophy even though several polls and predictions did not rate them among the top contender. Egypt is leading Ivory Coast by a goal in first half which signal that they might win the match.

I wouldn’t say they are lucky, nor will I say they're a bad side, Nigerians have just seen their players upped their performance and game during this African Cup Competition.
And cheers to the posters and people who wanted Victor Osimhen out of this Nigerian squad he was a bit vexed and tempered the other day. I hate how you lots disrespect the best Nigerian Striker we've had in a long time. He might have attitude issues, but we need him and can't deny his greatness. Congratulations to the boys and also Alex Iwobi. He's been our unsung hero, yes?!

Even though the Super Eagles didn't score all the chances they had in the first half, they should have at least scored one goal in the first half so that Algeria wouldn't play a low block game in the second half and make it difficult for the Super Eagles to score goals. But if the Super Eagles maintain their dominance in the second half, I am quite sure they will beat Algeria and proceed to the semi final.

Despite what the Super Eagles played in the first half by missing all the opportunities and not scoring a single goal, for me, I can very much say I'm super satisfied with the Super Eagles return in the second half of the game, because it wasn't even up to 3 minutes enter the second half that Victor Osinhem scored the first goal of the game at exactly 47 minutes, which was a very happy moments, and 10 minutes after Akor Adams scored the second goal of the game at exactly 57 minutes. Hence, making it 2 goals to nil against Algeria right now at 88 minutes into the game, despite the Super Eagles having 1 yellow card and Algeria having straight 5 yellow cards. So I'm happy for the Super Eagles to playing excellently today, because we have won this game.

In my over two decades of watching the Super Eagles of Nigeria, I've actually haven't seen them perform at the top of their game like they did today in their CAF African Cup Of Nations quarter final game against Algeria. Right from the kickoff whistle till the final whistle, Nigeria were dominant like they were playing an amateur team but no, they were playing against the same Algerian side that eliminated them from the same competition in the past. If Nigeria can continue to play like this, I won't be surprised to see them win the AFCON this year.

Today the super eagles i was afraid of what thr Algeria where saying online saying that they will crush the super eagles like weed, this totally made lost so much believe in them but as God may have it they played 2:0 which really was a impressive performance by them, well I was not that much opportune to watch the match by I watch a little highlights and then those guys were really on fire i most said, those guys really played out there like superstars that there are and this has enough encourage me to support them, this evening made me realize that such superstars are in the country….

No hyping but I don't think there's any team that plays more better than the Super Eagles, if you ask me about last AFCON the Eagles are not even close to the top 5 teams to win the competition or get to the finals because we have Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast the host even Algeria was doing better than they are now so this performance is the best I have seen in a long while for the Eagles. Now Morocco haven't played a side that is as good as Nigeria both in the attack and defense, is like if the don't get to the finals they have failed the supporters, is normal to feel that way and that's why they are always trying to get the first goal in every game they play, they are not as good as they are hyped.

It is obvious that all Nigerians are happy with the performance of the super Eagles in the ongoing African Nations, but when I remember that Nigeria was unable to qualify for the World Cup, I feel so sad. Was it as a matter of negligence that made Nigeria not to qualify for the World Cup? You can attest with me that the quality of the teams that are playing the African Nations Cup is more formidable than the teams we met during the World Cup qualification. The big question is why we were unable to qualify for the World Cup. It still pains me till now...

Presumably, Sallah's presence in this match melts down the tempo of the Ivory Coast side, they're not in form in striking, the Liverpool striker just netted another goal, Ivory coast has a short chance of equalizing this match.

55 minutes gone Egypt leading by 3–1 all four goals scored by Egyptian players, but best thing happen Mohammad Salah also scored now they are having good chance of going into last four this is also interesting because I am expecting them to be having spot into final.

As for the Super Eagles. It was super performance from the Super Eagles. But there were something they didn't do well in the first half and that's why they didn't score goals in the first half. Which was, the movement of the ball was not fast enough, they were slow in the movement. But in the second half, the movement was faster so they scored goals. The Super Eagles were impressive today.

Nigeria team did an impressive game despite the fear that they will disappoint, my greatest fear is game not leading penalty before the day if the game but their straight win should how zealous and credible they deliver if they are working as team, the wining of Egypt to Ivory coast surprised me because looking at how the formation was I see Ivory coast more stronger than Egypt, that is the main reason why most football may not really goes the way one analyze it except it's propelled by some magical force where most people claim that such game has been sold by the club or team, kudus to the Egyptian team who did extremely well to defeat ivory coast.

What's the point of holding possession more than your opponent when you can't turn that into your advantage very well, and each time your opponent manages to get hold of the ball, they make good use of the opportunity? If you are expecting a draw for the game, then that might happen, as they are just one goal away from equalising and have less than 15 minutes to make that happen.

I was very confident in this match, I knew that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will do a better job and defeat Algeria because they started this tournament with the anger of not making it to the World Cup, so the players will do everything possible to make sure they win this tournament which they are doing already and we are happy with their performance; they have 100% record yet no draw or any defeat and now at the semifinals against Morocco which is a very good one.

If Nigeria defeat Morocco, it’s over because no team can stop them again in the final. I heard how Cameroonians complain about what referee did against them in the quarterfinals, I am very sure that will not happen to Nigeria because we are very sensitive and anything that happen must be known globally, so the referees will need to be very careful and do their job well.

The super eagles of Nigeria has found their glory days back from the way that they have been playing in this competition so far especially in the last two games, the team has become more coordinated and play with a good sense of purpose and determination. The best part of it is that, the super eagles defense which were very weak and was conceiving goals easily is so coordinated that they have not conceived any goals in the last two games they have played. This is a good one let see how the super eagles are going to play against the host in the semi finals.

A very good game for Nigeria as the team has managed to have the win over Algeria. There were quite a number of people who doubted the strength and capabilities of the super eagles only to be disappointed by the loss of the Algerian side. No doubt, Algeria is a strong opponent and is ranked pretty high in African football according to FIFA.
Yeah, the lads seem more coordinated with a renewed sense of determination as they went on to win this game a lot of people thought they couldn't. And the fact that didn't concede any goal in that game makes the win feel more good. Now, they've stepped up and is now up against a team with more difficulty. Can the lads also pull this one off?

It is days like this that remind me why I love football. The Super Eagles were so brilliant today. It was a dominant win for Nigeria. I’m very happy we won, despite the distractions we had since our last game, the players were able to sort out their differences and give their absolute best tonight. Clear road for Super Eagles!!

I don't get it how The Ivory Coast team continues to gain possession of the game right from the first half to the second half and haven't being able to lead in the score sheet in this game, they have being behind only responding to the Egyptians after they're a 2 goals ahead. The Egyptians are playing with much physicality which has helped them to dig in to the Ivorian defence with their eyes on goal each time they have the ball. I think this is a lost game for Ivory Coast with 3:2 scoreline in favour of the pharaohs.

Davidvictorson so with all that Nigeria is playing in this tournament you still don’t think Nigeria can lift the cup well just watch and see you will be very shocked, Morocco is not even to be compared to Nigeria the only reason why Morocco is playing this well is because they are the once hosting the tournament and their fans are always more on the stadium however for Egypt I still believe Nigeria is stronger than them we have a lot international world class players who are determined to lift the Africa cup of nations and they will do it just watch and see.
Nigeria did very well today and with all the issues that came up in the last match Nigeria still delivered by working together as a team nothing can break them they are very united. Victor is the man of the match today 1 goal and 1 assist beautiful performance from him.
