This happens to be one of the poor officiating i have seen from a referee for a long time now in football, it is sad that the African games are still at this level of poor officiating, his officiating made it obvious that at some point he had some sentiments and could not contain it enough that it was obvious on several occasions, apart form this there were cases where he saw an obvious fowl from the Moroccan side but ignored it and did not penalize the Moroccan player but he was mostly particular about the Nigerian players and that was clear at some point, but maybe he thinks it wasn't seen. The Eagles did not play so well as expected of them but they weren't so bad, only that their good wasn't best enough , even in the face of poor officiating, they were able to Hold on till the last minute goalless, i think that is very much a commendable one.

It was very obvious the referee was biased in the officiating. Tbh, I wasn't surprised by some of the decisions. Ghanaians have a deep hatred for Nigerians, but in this case, maybe it wasn't just hatred. Maybe he is CAF's guy for their dirty works, because it does not make sense to award a match between a West African nation and North African nation to a West African referee.

Eric Chelle has his own blame for the subs but that’s no excuse for missing the penalty when your team needed the goal. Ben Seghir was also subbed in for penalties and he scored. It’s a new day and to be honest I’m not mad at the Super Eagles, they had a good run and for what it’s worth they played some great football in the last 3 games which was a pleasure to watch.

You mean the sub?, there shouldn't be blame because all his substitutes are all correct and that's why nobody had said anything about those substitute, he didn't take any action without importance, he started changing from 83 minutes, removing Onyedika and putting Simon, there was no other to be substituted other than those players and all the ones in there place performed well, it might be that you didn't like the removing of Osimhen but after the place he nearly had an injury his performance declined and our attacks began to give room for the opposition defense, so from there Onuachu got in.

Part of the things that makes you a professional is that you're able to check out all the factors that you're going to experience in a game and be prepared to face it straight up so you don't end up giving excuses when the game eventually goes the way you suspected it would. As for me, all this blames on poor officiating is just medicine after death because there's no single way you're going to play against the host nation and think the slightest that the officiating and every other factor is going to favour you. There's no just way.

Good and fine, we accept the the officiating was awful but then, you managed to keep it cool till the penalty shoot out, do you need the referree to side you in a penalty shootout? All you need do is take your chances at the time the opportunity presented itself and we failed woefully in doing so. We have a mentality problem and till we fix that, we can only go close to winning major trophy and will still fail.

Last night I was totally left speechless after watching the Nigeria Vs Morocco game, the referee was clearly on the side of the host nation Morocco to defeat Nigeria, who knows what settlement was done behind the seen that he officiated that unprofessional, The FIFA body also needs to look into the officiating of that game by the so called refree.

A lot of bad decisions, even though the super eagle team was not in their very best against Morocco last night, but seemed after watching some of the referee's decisions during the game, it went further in disorgainzing the super eagle from playing to their best, because the referee was not being fair enough.

Nigeria did exceptionally well in the game against Morocco, I was thinking it will be a straight win against Nigeria, as a mater of fact that was my prediction but I was surprised how that the Nigerian team was able to hold Morocco to goaless draw I least expected a draw.
The home advantage was really overwhelming but in the most of the advantage the Nigerian team still hold onto the game and stood out the end of the 120mins without having to conceive a goal. The pressure was much on the super eagles of Nigeria but however they didn't let that overwhelm them they still had to do what they had to do.

No need crying over a spilled milk, the better team won which is Morocco but then i give it also to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, they did their best but it wasn't enough. Last AFCON, Nigeria reached the finals and this one they reached the semifinals so i don't really see much backwardness in the team, they just need some kind of tough orientation so that they can do better in the future. I also recognize the Nigerian team coach Eric Chille for a job well done. It's really sad that Nigeria missed out in qualifying for the world cup and also got ejected from the AFCON but this is just football, we always expect the unexpected. Kudos to Senegal and Morocco for reaching the finals, perhaps they are the best teams in Africa so their advancement to the finals is not by chance but by their efforts and determination. However, let the best team win at the finals but i have a strong feeling that the host nation Morocco will win the AFCON.

You're right, Nigeria did absolutely well, i never thought they'll go very far but the proved many of us wrong form their first match in this competition, they didn't lose to anyone, i don't want to discuss much on the yesterday match between them and Morocco, to me it was al about luck nothing else, the played the game till penalty shootout, they were unlucky not to score some of their own, one thing we must all know is that, even though chukwueze messed up with the ball, it could be anxiety or perhaps luck was not on the Nigeria team side to reach the final, kudos to Nigeria team that's all I have to say.

Nigeria really should have spent more time working on penalties in training, but those who live by penalties often suffer by them.

They certainly had that area and lined up players that they were sure could deliver on that. Chukwueze should have played a better penalty; I think he just took a wild guess and fired the ball without any form of conviction. Regardless, it is what it is, and as we know, a penalty is a game of luck. The Nigerian team lost; we now have to play Egypt. I will not be watching.

We need to improve in penalties. Also, Morocco’s goalkeeper, Bono, was incredible in the penalties. I don’t think I have ever seen a goalie make a save like that. I have been hate-watching his saves on YouTube, and that guy is really good. I would love to see him play for a top club in the future.

Nigeria did well that's fine but they did better in the last AFCON because they got to the finals even though they didn't win the competition which was what I expected from them. Personally, from my own rating with their performance in the last AFCON, they didn't do well. You can say that I don't appreciate their efforts that's fine.

They didn't do well in the sense that they didn't learn from their past mistakes which has cost them another big loss. When will they learn, at old age or when they're no longer in the Super Eagles.

Morocco is a very strong national team that can adapt very easily on the field, but I think Senegal is better organized and has a greater chance of winning, so I see Senegal as the champion. I know that here in Africa, in tournaments, referees tend to favor the host country, so I don't expect an easy game for Senegal.

Morocco is really strong. They showed their strength at the World Cup too. The final will be different in terms of refereeing, and I hope the host doesn't win because it won't be as exciting, even if Morocco ends up winning. If Morocco wins, I hope it's a fair win and not because the refs are biased.

Morocco has previously won the AFCON, but as far as I know, Senegal has never won it and was only the runner-up in the 2002 AFCON in Mali against Cameroon. Well, this time around, I believe Mane will lead Senegal to win the AFCON trophy. What do you think?

I could not be able to watch the game completely because I will not be happy if it end the way it ended, I just wake up in the middle of night to check the scores, from there my tension calm down because if I could watch it to see that we are eliminated, I will not be able to sleep throughout yesterday, but since I choose to love myself more than anything that was why I was able to prevent myself from that action. I agree with you that the Moroccan team where tactically better than our super eagles, but not technically better than us, it was the referee that was officiating the game with a clear indication that he wanted the Moroccan team to win. If you look at the bassey bookings and the tactical fouls the Morocco players where commiting that should have been carded, he would just wave it off as if it was nothing, but if it was the Nigerian players that does that, he will rush to their rescue. It's a big shame to caf that they are behind this, and this is why African football has not grown more than it level, because they are doing everything possible for the host nation to win the tournament.

And the game needs to be properly investigated and from the way the referee behaved, it would have been different and from the way it was yersterday i was not impressed with the behaviour of the referee at all because they are suppose to be professionals and not act the way they did, and this is the difference and he needs to be monitored so others will choose to be more professional instead of behaving the way he did so the afcon needs to do so major adjustment.

And the way he  behaved was just pure hate for nigeria games and we expected things to be better, and since the nigeria players lost at the penalty shoot out and its fine so we can not go to the finals and that is how they wanted it and it was all fine. and don't be surprised to see Moroccans lose at the finals.

Anyone that truly watch that game, he or she will know that super Eagle of Nigeria played their best in that semi final game, because they performed very well through out the game despite Morocco embrace favour from penalty shootout. From the beginning of the tournament super Eagle have be dominating to maintain steady winning, but Morocco took advantage of penalty shootout to beat super Eagle to qualified for final.

Super Eagle is the only strong club that will withstand Senegal in the final game, but since Morocco use penalty shootout to beat super Eagle of Nigeria to qualified for final, it will be easy for Senegal to lift this trophy in the final.

Added to the fact the morrocan team had the massive support of the home fans and rumor even had it that they even did everything in their power to actually break the fans of the super eagles so that they won't have any effect in their support for the super eagles which was very effective too. The super eagles were defeated psychological and it was showing in the errors that the players keep making for lots of time. If any thing I would even credit the super eagles for holding up so strongly till the game got to that time.

It's unfortunate that Super Eagles has disappoint us the second time, after all the trust we put on them. Sometimes we shouldn't conclude for a match that hasn't been played yet because I could remember the way Nigerians were jubilating after Senegal won against Egypt they were sure that Super Eagles would play in the final with Senegal, I was looking at them because football is unpredictable and the Super Eagles was so confident that they would be the winner forgetting that they playing with an experience county so that is what hinder the Eagles.

Hey bro! It's nothing like that. We aren't even inferior, it's just football, anyone can win or lose. Hope you know that the defending champions, Ivory Coast was eliminated in the quarter finals by another team. So any team can actually win. Though the Moroccan players were better than us last night, in tackles, marking, team play and everything. We were only lucky we had a nice defence, if not, they would have won in Normal time. They played better, they deserved the winning and they won in penalties.

Don't also forget that the Nigerian team also won countries before we got there. We should give them some appluad for getting there. But football will always happen, and the host nation won, they were lucky too

Of course, it's a football game which is satting that one of them must be eliminated so there's no need to laughed at the Super Eagles, just that fans were too carried away by Super Eagles performance in the early stage but just that the countries that qualify for semifinals were too strong for Super Eagles to handle. Like to say the truth I don't really know how much they paid this referee like dude was completely against the Super Eagles in yesterday match, like it Morocco rough Nigerian it's a foul against Nigerian, and Nigerian rough it's a yellow card, the referee actually killed the game before anything else like the game was not really enjoyable the only thing that interest me in that match is how the Super Eagles managed to hold them to a draw after the conspiracy, now we were actually contemplating on the penalty shootout and our goal keeper managed to save a ball and there goes the Wolf in sheep clothing chuwkueze gave the opponent goal keeper a pass in form of play penalty shootout, like yesterday was just so awful to us the football fans here in Nigeria.
