The whole is changing and so many things that I never thought would happen is actually happening and it's just so sad, I mean imagine a team having to forfeit their place in the world cup just because of the war that is going on between the host nation and them, FIFA which is the football body can't actually do anything about it and this makes the football game for me bad because there things are not supposed to cross to the part of sports, I mean there should be atleast laws covering them.

I don't know maybe by now summer still saying that the ongoing war does not have a serious impact on the entire world and even Iran, which is the country being affected the most, well I want to believe that they are also learning from their mistakes and will know what is that stick before going into what may cost them in future, for now everything will remain and stand as it has been portrayed until further update regarding the possible end of this war, this is teaching us a lot of lessons to also learn about life and reality.

But why this is happening now, why can’t the action take place immediately during the game? This is one of the worst decisions i have ever seen, we can do better in Africa, Senegal has already win the cup and it is about a months ago why will they decide to give it to Morocco ? CAF can do better, this is going to affect many countries in Africa because they will always believe that AFCON is a corrupt competition where they give it to anyone they like, many people were saying that the competition was set for Morocco to win before Senegal won it and after this decision many people will start believing that it is true that the competition is set for Morocco to win.

To be honest the decision is to hash and this will definitely going to affect AFCON, this is going to affect the competition and many countries will decide to no play the tournament because they know that at the end they can not win it, Senegal did something that is not right and they deserve to be punished but taking away champions from them is not the right thing to do.

This is corruption at it peak, and even though I hate to say this, African football right now is totally a joke, like why is caf president trying to destroy African football by doing the biding of Morocco for the past three years now?

During the afcon they were doing everything possible for the Moroccan team to win it, and after they fail, they have now resort to this despicable actions.
To save the face of African football, the fa's of African national team should reject this despicable actions by caf president Patrick motsepe that is trying to destroy African football by leaking the ass of the Moroccan FA, because never a time in the history of African football that Africa has been this divided like this, and it's due to the policy of favouring Morocco that always says that they are not African, but they are desperate to win an African trophy through the back door.

I saw the news too, it’s a shame to CAF how do you give a trophy that was won by a particular country to another country because you want to punish them for walking out from the football pitch, we all knew what led to that and even if you want to punish them why taking away what they won and then giving it to another country, it’s a shame to Morocco and CAF, for me the winner of the African Cup of Nations is Senegal and no one can take that from them because in the eyes of everyone Senegal won it.
What they have done now has automatically destroyed the competition people will not be interested anymore to go and watch the competition because it is all fake and full of politics, no excitement, the referee and the officials were all bribed to favour Morocco.

This is ridiculous, I wonder what CAF is reducing the respect of AFCON which is Africa's biggest football tournament into, Africa, will yet go down as a continent which will not be taken seriously by other continental football bodies and fans around the world. They will see African football as a mediocre that is not worth rating, how else can you describe a final which one team won and gold was handled to them then after some months you want to strip them of it. Like you said as far as I'm concerned too Senegal, won the game and lifted the trophy, that is what matters to me.

Senegal won the game on the field, but Morocco won politically, and as a result, they were declared champions by CAF. Honestly, this is a great shame for football. As long as our African politicians believe that when they organize a competition they must win because they spent money to organize it, we won't go far, we won't win the World Cup this way. Politics and corruption are the greatest evils in African sport.

Since Morocco wants the trophy so bad, they can have it, but they will never have the respect of the spectators like us who watched the injustice and corruption that went on in the field. I think this final will be a final that will be forever referenced in the history of football.

Since rules are being followed, are we going to see the case Nigeria has against DR Congo for fielding an ineligible player get attention? Can the decision on it already be overturned? Or does lobbying need to be done too?

Everything about Africa is becoming so corrupt, the system is bad and every leader is corrupt in his own way. Morocco has taken this corruption thing to the extreme. All through the tournament, their desperation override the spirit of sportsmanship.

I think as they were hosts, they felt they deserved to win it, especially after investing so much in making their stadiums world-class.

The AFCON has lost its credibility; as it stands, many people will no longer be interested in watching future competitions because if the CAF can do this and favor the host nation, other host nations for future competitions will be expecting that they can get similar treatment.

The next AFCON will be hosted by three countries (Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania). Which of them will CAF favor?

It came out yesterday and I don't what the CAF president thought to give this verdict. Football is not won at home (court) but in the field. Yes we all know that there were some misbehaviors on the field but Senegal won the game with a clean goal and not with otherwise. I don't know why Africa things are always different. CAF president should know that there are consequences of this verdict. Senegal has appealed to the high court and if the apex court favour Senegal, CAF has to pay $100 trillions as a damage so that they will know what to do next time.
I don't know which of the law CAF used in this verdict.  This shows that, a team that didn't participate can win a case in the African football. CAF has introduced new law in the African football and they will regret on this later. My country likes court case. CAF will confirm soon.

It is total bullshit. CAF just made African football a joke. It is unbelievable. There is simply no explanation for this. When I first read the news, I had to check if today was April Fool's Day, because it just doesn't make any sense at all. Nobody will take the footballing body seriously again after a stunt like this.

The worst-case scenario should have been to ban Senegal from participating in the next Afcon and give them some fines to pay, but forfeiting a match they already played and were awarded winners makes no sense in any way you look at it.
Assuming they didn't come back to play the game, it would have been different, but they did come back and continued the match and played to the end. Teams only get disqualified when they use a player they weren't supposed to use and things like that, not in something like this.

In the case of Nigeria, FIFA rejected it, so there's nothing more the Nigerian federation can do. I'm very ashamed to see how these corrupt Africans are destroying our continent. Here in my country, Mozambique, last week my government arrested 42 Nigerian businessmen and is preventing them from accessing lawyers. The president of Nigeria has already asked my government to release these people.

But unfortunately, my country's corrupt government is doing dirty things to keep them imprisoned. They are innocent Nigerians, people who came to my country to do honest business. I apologize to all the people of Nigeria; my country's government is corrupt and immoral. This is the same as what we are seeing in CAF; corruption dominates this organization, and unfortunately, this will not change anytime soon.

And later we'll be wondering why our counterparts are not taking us serious in every aspect. I don't know why we always associate ourselves with strange and unbelievable things in this country. From the beginning of last AFCON months back, it was obvious how everything was meant to favor the host nation with the help of central referees. Ivory Coast hosted the last AFCON before this one and they won it fairly, no one complained because they were not blindly favored, they worked for it. We all agreed that Senegal attitude was wrong but what happened to other punishment? Why not fine, suspension and other punishment? Why stripped off the tittle? Why award the trophy to Morroco after all the controversies? Now, we can be sure it has been their mission after all.

Yes, a country that won AFCON but that we do not know if they can actually win Senegal. It's a shame to CAF for stripping off Senegal the African Cup of Nations trophy they won early this year. Well I am not surprised with what CAF did to Senegal because they wanted Morocco to win the African Cup of Nations, and since Morocco couldn't win it, they decided to capitalize on Senegal walking off the pitch to strip Senegal the African Cup of Nations and award it to Morocco. If I were Senegal, I won't give CAF the African Cup of Nations, they should go and make another African Cup of Nations and give to Morocco.

I feel at this point that CAF took this dangerous move, people should not only complain about it but make effort to write petitions to football governing body of the world FIFA in compelling CAF to revert this position they've taken. For all of the positions and comment's i have seen from football lovers across the world, nobody has been able to support CAF on this decision. If they claim that the decision they took was as a result of the fact that Senegal players walked out of the pitch, the referee which was a representative of CAF allowed the players to come back and continue the match with an extra time, so for me the reason for taking this decision is not valid.

This is absolute bullshit, my mind exploded when I saw this news. I thought it was some kind of prank or April Fools' Day.
Morocco found a formal pretext to challenge the tournament result, and for some reason the federation complied. I don't even want to dwell on how Morocco should have been disqualified and removed from the tournament because of the ball boys' performance (obviously, you can find plenty of formal pretexts if you want a specific result).
This is just complete nonsense - if the referee had made a decision on the field, it would have been fair, but the game continued and the result was achieved on the field, so nothing else can be done about it.

Is like you are watching football from your anus because if you are truly an African, you will support every actions the Senegalese team took that night, and talking of being deserving of the trophy, what makes you think that they deserves it when they can't defeat the Senegalese team on the field of play and the referee and caf were doing everything in their power just to give it to the moroccans.

I knew it, you will definitely support CAF and Morocco federation for awarding Morocco the winners of the AFCON. As for me, and millions of African football lovers we know who is the true winners. Isn't it obvious, since the tournament CAF always had the intention for Morocco to win the AFCON.

Trophies are not won in court, they are won on the field. And if there is a misconduct on that field that day, it first started with the misconduct of the CAF officials and their favoritism. Senegal did the right thing to stand against corruption. Why have CAF not issue any penalty for the misconduct by Moroccan players during the semi-final and final.
