Okay then, we shall see by then if he’s the reasons they’re underperforming and we’re not seeing good results from them. The blame has been on NFF for the long time discussions here while some people also blamed the players not showing full concern in the game. Seeing that Osimhen is also a center of attention here, maybe he will prove to us once again that he’s the best striker and the foreman for this Nigeria team. I have hope in Nigeria to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, but I’m not impressed by how they started out this journey. It was a ooor start, but I can still see room for improvement for them.
From the look of things, Victor Osimhen might not make the Super Eagles win games. He might help us to create chances and score goals, but the team would concede more goals because we have one of the weakest defenses in Africa. In our two recent games, we conceded six goals. Until Éric Chelle puts the back line and midfield in order, scoring goals will no longer be enough to win games. The only position that the Nigeria NT dominate the most is the attacking side. We have alot of Nigerian who are doing well in Europe but 50%-55% of them are all attackers. Even our midfield is weak not only our defence. Weak midfielders has always be the reason why we struggle alot in some games and unable to score, because we have average players in our midfield who are unable to create chances. Example was that Morocco game in the Afcon semi finals, our midfield was totally dead. If Eric Chelle can do his best to find good midfielders and wingbacks before the 2027 Afcon , it will really help us alot. We cannot keep relying on Iwobi and Ndidi who aren't really doing well in their respective clubs in my own view to keep leading playing for us.

Nigeria has one of the best teams in Africa but the NFF has chosen to destroy the team and the players wants them to be put to shame
Do you think the players can put NFF officials into shame? Do you think those people are having shame? I don’t think so. The only people the players are putting into shame are the Nigeria citizens, we are the ones that are put in shame. Do you even think the NFF cares if the super eagles lose, they just going to take it as normal thing, and they going to move ahead like nothing happened. Super eagles are not suppose to be struggling with the players which they are having. They have the best squad, so they are suppose to be finding it easy to win matches, but even countries which they are suppose to win, you going to see them lose or draw the match. Super eagles players shouldn’t try to shame the NFF, they should try and make we their fans happy.

I like your analysis, we have an attacking Force that is very formidable, with regards to the super Eagles game against Morocco, we actually did well in my own estimation, we lost in a penalty, we all know that in penalty anybody can win. But in line with what you said, we need new set of defenders and creative midfielders, not that the likes of Ndidi and iwobi are weak, but they are not living up to our present reality, same thing goes to the defence line too, Chelle should scout for replacement because we cannot go to AFCON with this same attitude of players, that's if we qualify anyways.

All they are interested in is how to divert funds meant for building the team to their own personal benefits. It is just sad because even if the players wants to overlook the shortcomings of the NFF, at a point they will get tired because they're also human. Nobody derived joy from where they are not appreciated so it's an issue that really needs to be addressed. Nigerians are football lovers, a lot of Nigerians are fans to foreign teams and if the Nigerian football was to be made to a standard, you will see that most of these local teams would have a lot of fans supporting them and even going to the stadium to watch live matches but the NFF is not willing to make that sacrifice for the Nigerian football.

Unfortunately they are struggling to win every match which means there is more to the game than having the big names and so many players invited to come take part in each game. The NFF is the problem of the team because by now they are supposed to be having different friendly games to help the players to get used to themselves also some of the players have complained about their poor treatments whenever they come to play, the players are not well taken care of and when they are injured the players have to suffer it alone or take it to their clubs to treat them while which makes them no to give their all to ensure they have a good result. The NFF do not pay the players bonuses some times they owe them but the players still manage to play because they are proud to represent their country, if an experience president is made the NFF president a lot will change in the team but for me those in the office is playing games with the Nigerian football.

Even the attacking players we have are not creative enough such that if the midfield doesn’t function properly, the forward players finds it difficult to create chances. Creative midfielders are lacking in the team, right now Alex Iwobi seem to be the only midfielder who creates chances in that team and that’s why he doesn’t miss out on getting called up for the national team. Most of the midfielders are defensive midfielders playing dip and back passes without trying to move the ball forward.

I don't know why most of our players don't put in zeal in playing for their country and you will see them performing more better when they are playing for their clubs, could the influence of reputation or money determining how well we should perform?
Let's take for instance Victor Osimhen, you can't see him performing less even in his own country and when he is playing for his club, because it has always been part of his attitude to perform better regardless of the condition, but I don't think the same motivation is what we can see from other players in this manner, I'm afraid they cannot even boast on their outstanding performance in the absence of Victor Osimhen in their team.
If you are part of the Super Eagles team would you put in zeal in playing for your country when your wages aren't always paid at as when due? The Super Eagles players knows that the NFF are jokers they don't want the progress of the Super Eagles so they put on performance that suit what the NFF demand from them. The Super Eagles team is built around Victor Osimhen without him the Super Eagles will struggle to win a match, and I think Victor Osimhen plays with his best for the Super Eagles because he loves his national team and he just want to help his team win matches.

I am judging the tesm based on their present games. For sometime now there have been no reports of non payment of wages in the Super Eagles camp. I might be wrong but we didn't hear there they were not paid for the game of the Afcon qualifiers. From my observationthe team is just weak. You are also right that players don't give their best because the poor treatment they get from the NFF. In some countries ex national team footballers enjoy health insurance and receive pension for life. This is not the case the Nigerian Football body. This might be demotivating players.

It is not like it just happened but the country has a way to dampen a player's zeal and zest. Think about all the super brilliant and talented young players we used to watch many years ago and how they'd play their hearts out for the national team, only to be owed their allowance, they may have to even foot their own bills which should have been legitimately the choice of the NFF. Now compare that with their clubs and tell me what you think. If you were in their shoes which will you give the most loyalty to?
Is it really about the money? Because some national teams don’t pay players wages at all, only bonuses. I understand if the players frustration is with the lack of standard training facilities, healthcare, accommodation, and logistics. I believe if all that is settled, there will be less complaints from players about the national team. IMO, the players are angry because they know the money has been allocated and someone or people are sitting on it.

You cannot totally blame the super eagles players if you perceive that they are not playing their very best games while playing for their country, if they get injured while playing for the super eagles it can affect their club careers where they are sure of their welfare. If anything happens to them at their club level either injury or losing form I don't think that there is anything that NFF can do for them so their club commitments comes first before their fatherland and you cannot blame them. NFF officials are politicians and we know that most of our politicians are more interested about stealing money and not caring about the work that they are supposed to do, the high level of corruption in Nigerian ministries is what is happening in NFF.
