The CAF Nations cup qualifiers matches just kicked off and nobody is talking about the matches that was played today. I thought this thread is about discussions concerning African football and not only Nigeria.

Anyways, here is the results of the matches that was played today:

DR Congo Vs Equatorial Guinea played 2:0
Sierra Leone Vs Zimbabwe played 2:3
Ivory Coast Vs Ghana played 2:0
Mauritania Vs Central African Republic played 3:1
Tunisia Vs Uganda played 1:1
Libya Vs Botswana played 2:2
Cameroon Vs Comoros played 3:1
Namibia Vs Congo played 1:0

The match that surprised me most was the match between Sierra Leone Versus Zimbabwe because Sierra Leone won the first half with 2:0 only to return back for second half and Zimbabwe equalized and still won. It was really a great comeback by the Zimbabwe team. It's been long I see that kind of comeback.

Nigeria will face Madagascar tomorrow, hope they win that match.

You wouldn't blame most Nigerians that are on this thread, most of the headline news are particularly about things concerning Nigeria so the discussion just goes on about the happenings on the Nigerian sports, however you did a good job by bringing us up to date about most of the games that were played, the Sierra Leone game versus Zimbabwe was really a moment of football that happens once in a while, this goes to tell us that you don't relax your game despite the fact that your leading, but the tough game that I've seen here is the game between Ivory Coast vs Ghana, considering that these two countries are football giant in Africa, I was hoping that  game would have been a draw.

 I was secretly hoping that Ghana will fight back after going 1-0 but it appeared they were no match for Ivory Coast because the victory was too resound and absolute the moment the second goal came in. Of the 8 games played today, y recorded wins and it's not a surprise either that Cameroon and Dr Congo went through their opponents easily. Good first game, and I'm hoping we'd see more exciting action tomorrow.

Cameroon and DR Congo were no match for their opponents. They exhibited a good performance that saw them through to the World Cup. More action will be coming in tomorrow especially the game of Nigeria vs Madagascar and also the game of Mozambique vs Senegal. From the two games mentioned, it is very clear that Nigeria and Senegal has the better chance for a victory over other match ups that I think will be a bit intensive.  More actions from the Africa Cupmof Nations round 1 games, this is going to be a competitive one once again.

The question that remains now is how soon can Osimhen pick up form after a long time out?

Teams are not clueless, everybody knows Osimhen is an injury-prone player, even the internet can tell you for free.

How to know class, whenever Osimhen returns from injury, he doesn't pick up from a bad start. Once he is cleared by the doctors and considered fit to play, expect the best from him. Galatasaray without Osimhen will have a terrible season, both in the Champions League and domestic league.

The problem with Osimhen is that when he is needed you don’t see him helping the team, I could remember when Nigerian was playing the World Cup qualifiers sometime last year he was nowhere to be found he was faking injury here and there, it was something that was totally wrong from him, instead of Osimhen to take a penalty for Nigeria, expect him to come off the game injured.

Expect him to be playing for Galatasaray after the International Break, because that is what he does best , some of this players doesn’t have the country at heart, and I don’t blame them because the Nigerian Government and the NFF are also not doing well, concerning the welfare of the players.

If I get you clearly,you mean that Osimhen is faking his injury simply because he doesn't want to play for the super eagles? If this is what you meant,you might be right and I also understand your pain and why you are angry with him,come to think it,why now is he injured when he is needed the most? It will be so disheartened if after this competition,he recovers instantly and is seen playing for Galatasaray. It will be obvious that he was faking his injury but you know,i'm still not sure if that is true since am not his doctor or his relatives which is why i can't conclude that he is faking his injury.
