The reason why it seems protest isn't working is because of the level of corruption in Nigeria. The only time protest will work is if the citizens are ready for change but with the way things are going in Nigeria, it is obvious they are not ready for this.  when we talk about going for protest, it may just be few person that may be ready to come out. The end sars protest went the way it was because the citizens doesn't understand their rights and such massacre may not have happened in advance countries.
The Nigeria is entirely corrupt that is why such protests will not work because people will never unite to fight for their rights. There’s some many of people that want this protest in order for them to get what them want in Nigeria, but we all know the types of leaders we have once or two created the movement within one hour you will hear police brutality salons around the area. The entire citizens are suffering and still don’t have rights to be voice out to stated their problems, and anyone who trying to lead the protest they get the person arrested and if look at other countries there are not like this they’re well organized.

A wise person learns from another man's mistakes and we do not wait of due process too because due processes don't work when it comes to Nigerian systems. Is there any level of corruption that we haven't experienced yet and is there any protest that hasn't been done? Instead of the government to look into the reason for the protest, the leaders don't care as long as they're making money out of the situation at all time. I am not in support of any player leaving the team this moment because this is when solidarity is needed the most.

After the end SARS killings everybody is playing safe in Nigeria, when it comes to protest matters, nobody wants to die or be arrested for a cause that doesn't directly concern them and I don't think that a lot of football lovers will come out to protest about football matters. Numbers counts when there is a protest in a country, if after a lot of hypes about a protest and on protest day you see a few people on ground to protest live it wouldn't drive home their demands, it is mainly the organizers of protests that ends up hitting the streets to protest, many affected Nigerians will just relax. The worst of the matter is that our corrupt politicians and officials doesn't care about protests, the level of corruption in the country have given these criminals audacity to do what they like because they believe that nothing will happen to them.

I don’t really see the need for Nigerians to fear simply because the end SARS protest didn’t go as planned, if you even check well the end SARS protest actually sent a clear message to the government, it made them very scared to know that Nigerians could wake up one day and fight for the truth, this Nigerian government are not ready to do the right thing both in sports, education, security and the economy, every Nigerian is feeling the hardship in different sectors, are Nigerians really getting the best of life? So why are they afraid to come out and speak out.

No country changes without a protest and revolution, check most great countries of the world, they one time in the past had a protest, revolution or war, you can’t defeat a strong man without some form of pressure, to me any sector that isn’t getting good welfare from the government should stand up and speak out, i believe that with constant pressure the government will definitely do the right thing one day.

Is not that people will not protest but we must also make it a peaceful one that will not attract violence, you know about the incident of that of end SARS protest and the aftermath, but that is not the aspect or perspective at which we are considering in this case, players cannot keep on silence while the conditions to Foster their performance is not being considered, this is why we must try to project the challenges we are facing in some situations in order to attract for change in that regard, this will also draw public attention in order to know what is going on from within that sector, it is not a fight of human right or agitation against the government or those in charge, but when there are lapses, we need to voice out and Express our feelings.

I just came across this news few minites ago about our Nigerian brother who was recently just confirmed as the general secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) yesterday, which actually makes him the first Nigerian to emerge as General Secretary of CAF and also the first Nigerian to be part of the chief officers of CAF governing council, which is actually a good news that at least we have one of us as parts of those making the laws and planning the African Football.  And I made a brief recap about Samson Adamu and got to know that he happens to be that individual who built his career around managing football, and also organizing football tournament, as he is known to be the guy who launched COPA Lagos, which happens to be a popular football beach tournament very popular in Lagos City.

So what are your take on this?

I think is a welcome development and probably that office was zoned to Nigeria and Adamu Sampson has been a household name right from time, so he is eminently qualified for the office. The good thing is that, we need to see new faces occupying this offices in CAF, we are too used to seeing old faces and we are tired. The new laws that they are going to make should be tilted towards making our African football leagues more digital, we cannot be using woods and plastic numbers as material to use for substituting a player when there are digital ones that has been available for years now.

I'm surprised that somebody who is living in Nigeria is bringing an opinion on protests. Protests have never worked and fixed anything in Nigeria, it is better not to bring people to disturb the streets for no reason, Nigeria is playing a dirty game, same with the NFF.

The work is done better when a square peg is put in a square hole. Samson Adamu would perform well as the Secretary General of CAF because he has some knowledge and experience. He holds a FIFA Master’s degree in management, law, and humanities of sport. He also has practical administrative experience, as he has organised some competitions. As the engine room” of African football, his skills would be helpful in the development of African football.

There are people who do not understand peace or positive relationship. Without protest you will never seems to see things changes.
On government protest they usually involved themselves with the worst people they think they can easily be possible to buy their heart with money who can stand against the other people.
Frantically things are not being done right way.

Protest cannot yield a good result if people keeps sabotaging the movement. Look at end sars protest that turned bloody but till now nobody is even talking about the massacre that happened that day. How many more people will die for a better Nigeria? Protest has lost it's relevance inasmuch as Nigerian government is concerned because they don't even attend to the things that people are protesting for. Going to protest is just as if you are risking your life because if anything happens to you the matter will just die a natural death.
The question is, will the original intention of the protest be followed to the end? We have seen cases severally where in the name of protests, people or the protesters will start stealing, breaking into people property and turn the whole thing into something else.
So, first of all, that's the reason why the governments are not taking any protest seriously in Nigeria. Because the people which is we ourselves, are part of the whole issue.
Protest is the right of every citizen, but the only time that the government has the right to interrupt a protesting is when there is violence, like stealing, destroying of public things, and all that.

The thing we need to understand about protesting is that not everybody has to get involved from the beginning,  and pushing this narrative of it not working is always laying a foundation for it not to work even before it is started.  We need to understand that as those who has seen the need for such,  we can mobilise like minds and start from somewhere,  and when others eventually see the need, they will join the course, you don't have to wait to carry everyone along first,  others may join later, and there are others who will never join but stay neutral,  then there are others who will be bought and will re vote against the protesters,  what's important is creating the impression first,  and if its held unto long enough,  other will gradually start joining,  its a psychological thing,  and that's the tool the government always uses as their advantage.

A protest held ling enough will begin to catch the attention of others,  and soon they will begin to find reasons to join in to protest, they mustn't be given a reason from the beginning,  they will see it in the later, some persons are like that, it has to start first tot get their attention, others it will never happen. It's a thing that can work if the few who see the needs fir it get started and put in the work.

Look how all our Nigerian superstars are having a good time at their clubs, but when they come for international duty, it will be a bad result.
Awoniyi scored for Coventry yesterday, Tolu also scored for Ajax, Osimhen as usual always scoring/ Josh Mbeumo scoring for Le Havre this week.
Nigeria have quality players. I don't know how they keep messing up when they come home.

This are the kind of news I love to hear, especially on this CAF because there are a lot of people from different African countries as part of the CAF staffs but Nigeria has nobody there so definitely we are very excited that a Nigerian was not just appointed as part of CAF but as someone who would be on the higher office, so congratulations to him. Although if not that you mentioned I didn't know he was the reason behind that tournament, perhaps those tournament he organised and some of other roles he played in different areas related to sports was actually why he was considered fit for this appointment.

You have to look at the compensation that comes with playing well at club level relative to doing well at country level and you will understand that their allegiance is more to their club than it is to their country. most of them are playing for our national team as an entitled people but if you go to the club side with that mentality, you wont even see a playing time to start with.

Another thing is that at club level, they have enough time and games to adjust to the tempo of the season unlike what is the case with country football were they have limited time to play together before a major tournament. most of the other guys that are also playing for other nationality most times players better for their club than they do for their home national team.

This is a welcome development, when positions are given to whom it fits, people will definitely have positive things to say, not when politics is been dragged into it, this a good news, not because he is a Nigerian but because he has what it takes to be in that position, for me I know he will do well, he has the experience, he is known for what he has been doing over the years, so the cap fits him, people with experience and good records on what they do, are those that should occupy position like this, I think adamu is a good hand in this field, and so much believe that he will help to bring positive changes in CAF.

This is very good good news to hear. I just hope this great appointment have great significant effect to the football back home, because if the super eagles continues with this their poor performance it wonder him holding a position how he is going to feel if his country men are unable to represent well. But i dont know if his position is that , thst can have influence of the leadership of NFF to serious and to try their best to change the poor performance about the super eagles.

It is a shame since CAF was formed no Nigerian has been part of CAF governing council, i am so happy Adamu has worked so hard and made his way in to the current CAF governing council his present there will improve African football, and for him to be the first Nigerian to hit this milestone achievement in African football i say a big congratulations to him and Nigeria, Adamu has made Nigerians proud with his accomplishment.

This is actually very good news because, for him to have been given that position seems to be well deserved, because who would have expected it? At least we now have, like, a representative in the council, and let's say he will not just be a shadow in the council. We expect to see returns in the future that is, the impact will be felt when it comes to African football, and at least now that there is a Nigerian in the picture, the home leagues should also benefit. Once again, congratulations to him, and his hard work has opened a door for him because I did not even expect something like this to actually happen.

Bro, we'll continue to argue this from now till tomorrow but the truth is, it's not the same way they are being treated in their respective clubs that Nigeria is treating them. Most of them are playing in a recognised clubs where everything is professional with good training facilities as well. Most importantly, they don't need to complain before they get paid and they are being medically treated when they are injured. So what do you expect from them? They say to whom much is given, much is expected. The clubs are given them the best treatment they can have but Nigeria give them less so in return, they give us lesser performance as payback. I'm not happy with the whole situation but that's just the truth.

If not for this news, I never thought that we don’t have any Nigerian as not part of the governing council of the CAF. Like Nigerians are said to be the giants of Africa, how comes we don’t have a member in the decision making table all these years of CAF establishment. I am surprised to the core but now that we have one, I think we should welcome and congratulate one of our own to deliver on his tasks well over there.

I am still thinking how this will directly or indirectly affects the whole nature of the game, I mean NFF incompetencies and the lack of Nigeria players doing well when representing the country outside. We are clamoring for a better performance for them, not only in African football competitions but also when they represent Nigeria globally. This is good news and I commend Adamu on this milestone achieved.
