Nobody has answered me about coin staking.
Maybe the dev ought to elaborate on this topic.
I asked if my coin stake when there are locked in the wallet.
And second, when I close my wallet,it is automatically locked, isn`t it so?
Can the dev give more technical/practical insight into the coin staking.
Theory is what we know,we only miss few practical points.
P.s:I smell calm before the storm on sat2 market Wink

Hello, get the facts straight by reading this :-> http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Proof_of_Stake
If after reading you still have doubts then come back with them.

I'm not the dev but the quick version:
You need to unlock for staking ((Settings->Unlock wallet, you can check 'For staking only' for extra security).
Yes, after closing the wallet it is automatically locked again.

Thanks man, that was what I needed to hear.
So,in a line:I need to keep the wallet running and unlocked in order to benefit from staking.
Sounds unsecure to me since I had "an accident" 6 months ago when I
was left without a few millions of Doge...
I think I will skip the staking process, nevertheless I wont dump my SAT2 before 25 as i said...

.000025 BTC?

Yup!
Do you think it is not likely?

Sorry,I havent paid attention to the zeroes Cheesy
No,not 0.000025 but 0.00025
SO,10 times the value which we have now.
If I ment 0.000025 i would have dump all the sat1 at ....014 about a month and something ago,
but I think that anything ...025 is low.I cannot understand the ppl that dump at a loss.
I had been holding ltc for 1 whole year in order to get the real money last year.
Do ppl realy think that cryptomoney is that easy to grasp?!? Huh
I follow SAT or call it SAT2 from  DAY1 and i was mining it from the beginning.I sold one part
bcs i had to cover some expenses i had but the other part is ment to stay
as long as it takes. If you just hold for a quick earning-switch to other currency, you are more likely to get a profit.
If you are holding bcs you care about the currency and you will hold no matter what, then you are
in the right direction.
In addition,I feel bad for the part of SAT I dumped in some period and if this price stays this low
I will buy a good deal of lower mintpal market when I dump my vertcoins.

I have no idea!

Everything besides BTC is just speculation and waiting to see who dumps first I think.

I still don't know much about POS. Can a coin without miner's support survive?

But, if as secure as POW then this is much better for everyone.  And this coin seems simple and well organized. I like it!

I wonder about the coins in the genesis block and how the transfer from SAT1 to SAT2 works. I need to learn more programming.

Well to be honest,I don`t know much about code programming and "technical side" of the coin.
I got interesting more through mining.Later on the coin was doing well but the original devs made a few slip ups
and jeopardizes the later future of the coin.
However, new devs take control of the  coin and now we wait for better time.
Impressive was the instance when SAT was about to be moved
to SAT/LTC pair(due to very low support t 1 satoshi) and the DEV announced SAT2 ,the coin
exploded with buy support and in the course of few hours pumped the price to 14 satoshis.

As a follower of a few coins in the past,I think that we need a new "boom".
We fell in "a trial position" and ppl wait to see something new.
I like silent profile of the devs without so much fuss about nothing ,
but I either think that the devs MUST announce from time to time some
NEW HIGHLIGHTS of the coin features, something that should make a difference.
I think that its high time devs announced something they had been whispering about. Wink

And Yes,I agree that we need more funds into BTC in order to get more funds to alt,and eventually more funds into
SAT2,but you must not think as the majority,we have to stand out.
WE HAVE TO BE DIFFERENT!

As far as miner are concerned, they chase the high profitability, nothing more,I know that bcs I have been a miner for 3 years Wink

Is it normal for sat2 deposits to take hours?

edit: Oh, or does mintpal still wait for 999 confirmations?

Yep It takes an eternity and the DEvs know and will soon address the speed issue.

noob skool...

ok so I put coins in my wallet on around 7/1/14.  I got interest on 7/12/14.  Since then(I think) it says not staking because I don't have mature coins.  I haven't moved them.  Wallet is currently encrypted and unlocked.  Is that it?  Will I get interest every 10 days?  Am I doing something wrong?

Let me know if you need any more details.  Thanks all!

No deal, McCutcheon, that moon money is mine!

I think it will be every ten days

back when i staked collossus coin (waay back when) it would stake for a while so ur balance showed less coins and when it was done and the new minted coins were confirmed by the network youd be back to ur original balance plus what you have made in minting

so yeah id imagine its the same.

rumor has it that a new dev is taking over and reducing the number of coins to 7.7 recurring. we will have to convert our current coins to the new value of 1,000,000 sat2 : 1 sat3. also hearing faint whispers of plans to colonize saturn within 2 years.

bagsy one of the rings.

I trust in this coin. While the price low, I will buy still. I feel that something will be soon.
