when it comes to financial gain, as long as it will not affect other people negatively and is not an action illegally, we should have an emotional intelligence and should act to secure profit, than be a fool to lose when we know for the fact that the opposing team will likely to win.

Losing money is never a comfortable feeling and I don't feel happy if I lost my money. I agree with you, and I mostly simply watch matches of my favorite team but sometimes I bet on the favorite club in their matches, but as said not too often. It's only when I feel very exciting with that match and want to use my bet for making my experience of watching the match more exciting and emotional.
