Why don't you show the current service fee at the very beginning, without needing to create an order?
If I want any more information, I have to generate an order.
I support simplicity and not overloading with unnecessary information, but I always get the impression that something is missing when I open the page.
Can't you just press "get rate" and see how much you will receive after the fees? There is definitely no need to generate an order.

Why is the fee for exchanging Monero for any other cryptocurrency 3.5–4% today? Could this be a mistake? It’s always been 1–1.5%.

In Standard mode? That's strange, we have normal rates today.
yes

Unfortunately, I can't help you here. Please use our Support tab and contact us there - we respond almost immediately.

And what's the difference between showing % fee and clicking the “GET RATE” button to see how much you'll get?

Our fee isn’t fixed and depends on many factors, and since we DON’T use JavaScript, you’d have to click a button similar to the current “GET RATE” anyway to get the % fee we’re currently charging.

The fee changes every 10 seconds; if you enter 1 BTC > XMR and click “GET RATE" wait 10 seconds, and then click again, you’ll see a different amount in your output.

(The exact fee may appear in the new design we're currently working on, but I doubt it - though a decision hasn't been made yet. In any case, it will only appear after the transaction is created.)

My mistake.
Your design always makes me think that it is necessary to enter a deposit address for the get rate, but that is not the case with you.
Now I remember that this is not the first time I have seen it that way.

A 4% fee for exchanging Monero for another cryptocurrency? Isn’t that too much? Since when did the fee get so high? I’ve always used your services because the Monero exchange rate was reasonable, but now I’ll have to look for other options—that’s really too bad! You also have another issue: when exchanging amounts between 3,000 and 5,000, the exchange freezes, and I have to contact you via Telegram or email.

I haven't seen such a high percentage anywhere else—not on any service that charges 4% or more for converting Monero to USDT. I usually choose the “Swap Floating Rate” option, but if you choose
“Fixed Rate,” the fee will be even higher.

What you're saying about the network being overloaded seems like total nonsense to me—no offense meant. If it really is overloaded, then fix it so everyone can easily trade crypto through you.

It’s one thing when the exchange goes the other way—from USDT to Monero—because in that case, the fee is still justified. If you manage to solve this problem, that would be great; if not, I wish you the best of luck.

4%? Where did you get that from? As of today, the fee for 1 XMR > BTC is 1.3%.

Did you contact support for amounts between 3000 and 5000? How many times did you contact support, and what reason did they give? Can you provide the IDs for those transactions?

Network overloaded? If our systems are overloaded, we don’t tell you to contact support; rather, your transaction takes longer to process and is in the “WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION” status.

You mentioned that FIXED RATE has an even higher fee, and based on that statement, I can tell you have no idea what you're talking about.

As for USDT>XMR, the fee for swap 10000 USDT TRC20 for Monero is currently 1.5% in Standard mode.

P.S.: If the fee for USDT swaps is high at any point, please wait a moment or contact support; sometimes we experience issues with USDT and USDC in NO AML Mode and Standard Mode.

This morning I wanted to exchange Monero for USDT and calculated that for $1,000, you charge a $40 fee. But when I checked your website, it said that for $2,000, the fee is $80. From this, it’s clear that the percentage isn’t 1–1.5%, but 4%. I can take a screenshot for you any day—I’ll go to the website and show you this, and then I don’t know what you’ll say. When I contacted support, the exchange was completed in just 2–3 minutes! I’d like to be able to exchange without having to contact support.

I just checked the Monero-to-USDT exchange rate—the fee is 2.2 percent, which is already 50% lower than it was this morning.
I just deposited 5 Monero coins, and according to my calculations, I’ll receive $2,273 in return. The current Monero rate is $465 per coin. I don’t want to argue with you—I just don’t understand. A week ago, the fee was still only 1–1.5%, there were no problems, and visiting your site and making exchanges was a pleasure.
I’m not writing about exchanging for Bitcoin; I’m writing about exchanging for USDT, as I’ve always done.

I don't trade cryptocurrency through AML; I just convert Monero into another coin, and that's it—I don't transfer any cryptocurrency to you via AML 100.

Yes, I contacted support. The problem was that you had a glitch, then one transaction got stuck, the second one went through, but some time passed and nothing was credited to my wallet. Then there were a couple more transactions like that. I’m writing about my experience—your requests were deleted a long time ago, so I can’t provide them to you.

It's best to take a screenshot and post it here to back up what you observed. I tried to check, and the fee is nowhere near the 4% you talked about even for other swap pairs. Could it have been a miscalculation?
I am also wondering if you were using the No AML swap option or just the normal swap

I'm tired of writing about this again, but I'll write it one more time for your sake: I use a regular swap account that doesn't have an anti-money laundering (AML) system, and this morning it showed me this percentage—and a couple of days ago it showed the same thing: 4%. I checked again tonight, and it was already down to 2.2%. I wrote about this and explained to the owner why it happened and why the percentage was so high. Next time, if the commission is high, I’ll take a screenshot and post it

I like this service, and I want to use it, but at that price, it's not worth it for me

I just checked the exchange rate, and it really is 1.4–1.5%.
I don't know why the percentage keeps changing—it was one number this morning, a different one this evening, and I just checked again, and it's even lower now.

I suggest you to contact their support team once and share your order details with them if you have it then they might solve your issue. I don't think that SageSwap ever charges 4% in fees, there might be an issue or bug and due to which you paid such high fee for the swap. It's always better to capture screenshots as they can be very helpful to help solve your issue. It's also true that their no AML mode charges some extra %age in fees but in their standard swap mode the fees aren't that high for majority of users only you faced such issue.

I don't know why the percentage keeps changing—it was one number this morning, a different one this evening, and I just checked again, and it's even lower now.
There must be some pattern to why the fee differs in different time periods. In some other examples, this happened when harmonising the supply/demand for XMR on the exchange and whether they had to react additionally in order to ensure sufficient liquidity of a currency.
At an exchange with its own liquidity pool, this can have an effect.

I would suggest that you do a simultaneous exchange rate comparison between two or more exchanges. Sometimes, even if a 4% fee is emphasised, it does not necessarily mean that you will receive a smaller amount for the same value of the order.

OP, this website exists since 2025 and I haven't said any welcome, so I'll start this post with the welcome and I won't go into details how the website works. It seems to be working fine because you have 4 positive trust rating from DT members.

Anyways, I want to focus about the fact that on your Resume, I see that you mention two times that you don't use Cloudflare. Privacy-oriented people distrust websites that use Cloudflare and it's right that you touched that point, you really don't use Cloudflare but at the same time, as I see, you use bunny.net, which is an alternative of Cloudflare. You are still using a third party. Is bunny significantly better than Cloudflare for privacy-oriented users? I ask this because you promote no-cloudflare thing. I know that when it comes to speed, it's better.

This is actually a valid question.
Cloudflare may have a "bad" reputation and there are probably more dissatisfied users, but CF also has a dominant position in this segment and it is quite expected that there is a greater number of dissatisfactions against it.
If there is MITM between the service and the user, it is almost the same thing and it is completely irrelevant that the third service is not called Cloudflare.

That’s a valid point. Bunny.net is still a third party service, and I don’t want to pretend otherwise.

The reason I deliberately avoid Cloudflare isn’t just because it’s a third party CDN. It’s more about my overall philosophy on privacy and how much data I’m willing to entrust to a large infrastructure provider.

Bunny.net also acts as a reverse proxy, so technically, it can see a visitor’s IP address while handling a connection. The difference is that Bunny places greater emphasis on minimizing and anonymizing this data, including anonymizing IP addresses in logs and allowing them to be completely removed from the logs.

So I wouldn’t say, “Bunny doesn’t see your IP address.” That wouldn’t be true. I’d rather say that Bunny is a more privacy oriented CDN solution than Cloudflare, even though it’s still a third party service.

If someone’s standard is “I don’t want any third party involved at all,” then Bunny obviously doesn’t meet that standard either. In that case, you should use our TOR site, which is also available 24/7.

So the note “no Cloudflare” in my resume specifically refers to not using Cloudflare. This is not meant to suggest that I don’t use third pparty infrastructure at all. Bunny is a compromise that provides me with the benefits of a CDN while keeping the impact on privacy relatively low.

Privacy is not a crime.

I agree and by the way the ones who give high importance to privacy often use TOR Onion site than using the clear net version. For them Tor is essential and they avoid visiting the clear net site when Tor site option is available. Since SageSwap's Onion URL works pretty well and that's why the ones who don't want to involve a third party may consider it. I remember when a few platforms tried to create their own DDoS protection system but it failed as DDoS attackers use very strong attacks and it's hard to make a working protection system that may block those attacks.

Still having issues? Reach out to support.
Maybe the quickest way to get an answer is through their support. I tried out the exchange and  it looks like the issue as been rectified just as TryNinja said.
I suggest they try adding a service status page on their website like other service do to document any downtimes and maintenance schedules to avoid panic among the users.

Sometimes, certain pairs are temporarily unavailable due to technical issues or when we’re adding new liquidity.

If this happens for 5+ minutes, please contact our support team. Our support team is available 20 hours a day.

I think liquidity could be the main issue here, but is it a typo or something where you mentioned the support team is available 20 hours day? I mean if I'm not wrong it should be available 24 hours a day by default not 20 hours a day.

It usually means that they have a limited team that can solve problems and therefore may not be available 24 hours a day.
It is good as it means that they get a response in less than 4 hours, which is very good.
They can use AI to get instant responses, but I prefer dealing with a human employee to solve problems.
