is it true that the v4.0 consume similar power as scrypt mining?
Which would only mean it is optimized to full potential, right?

Not necessary, right? Speed increase vs power consumption increase might not be worth it?

I'll hook up my Kill-A-Watt meter later on in the day and show what one 7970 does in my AMD system.

Can you also compare the performance/watt usage results of +nofee option and v3.0.

Hello,
3x7950+1x7970 with claymore v3.0 it consumed 780W, with v4.0 it is 820W on the wall. Scrypt with this configuration is 1000W

I'm just comparing with the fee on.

Here's my findings with a single 7970:
Idle: 125 watts
Claymore v4.0: 344 watts (1080core/1500mem)/360 watts (1150core/1500mem)
Primegpu v2.00: 342 watts (1080core/1500mem)/354 watts (1150core/1500mem)
Scrypt: 436 watts (1080core/1500mem) @ 750 kh/s

I haven't passed 62C during times when it was 85F to 90F with either XPM miner.

48 hours solo I dug 8+7 = 15block * 7,67xpm = 115XPM / 2day = 57XPM/day
24 hours on the Ypool I found 8 blocks received only 43XPM -- This is 42% less than it should be

I mined solo for about 36hours, found nothing (6 cards 280x).
As soon as I mine with ypool I see in the statistics that I find multiple blocks a day. I hade over 11 connections with the wallet.
Anyone else having solo issues?

When I Mine solo 29 card ( 2x280X 16x7950 4x270X 7x7850) and I had 10 connections, I lost 6 block, while it was 8 Connects everything was normal. Most likely you have not synchronized wallet.

It's dramatic on multiGPU setups.  For me, 3x 7970 on scrypt is 825 W, while Claymore was 545 W.

Claymore, can you modify this miner to work it for RIC GPU mining somehow ?

I was mining it with my 8x i5 CPUs while mining scrypts on the same systems with GPUs
But since your miner needs some resources from Processors also (30-35% from my i5 CPUs with 3x 290 cards on each of them) I stopped mining RIC.

Version 5.0 is available:

- Improved speed by 10% for 290/290X, for other cards less. Up to 3.0 CPD on 290X.
- Added "-ss 0" option.
- Added "-nofee" option for solo miner.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

No, RIC uses much larger numbers so it won't work there with decent speed.

290x increase.  Love it.  Just wish solo would be easier to find blocks.  Can take hours sometimes, almost not worth it.

What does TRT mean?
The reason I ask is I tried using Primecoin GPU miner with my 7950 and received a value of 200 vs 400 from claymore, but I get the same amount of CPD for both miners around 1.3 CPD. For now I am sticking with claymore since I can use multiple machines and point them to one wallet for mining. Any insight is appreciated.

Check "readme" file:

...
Press "m" to see a performance counter, total round time (TRT). Don't compare this value to other miners,
this value is not related to any other numbers of different miners.
...

and so on. Btw, "Readme" has a lot of useful information Smiley
