Claymore, your miner should be at least 75% faster to stay in competition with that crappy Ypool. Open source FTW!

v8.0 is available.
- Improved speed by about 50-60%. Up to 7 CPD on 290X. - Improved chain targeting: more 8-10 chains and less 4-6 chains. - Added "-ss 3" option for very slow CPU. - Removed "-hc" option. - Removed "-ss 0" option, works as "-ss 1" now.

hello in v8 r9280x TRT 160 is right? The best way to check performance is to use "Estimated CPD" value: about 7.0 for 290X, about 3.0 for 270X, about 4.5 for 280x.

4.5 cpd for my 280x's now. With my athlon x2 250 i did need to set -ss 1 to get that, without it i was only getting around 3 cpd.
thx Claymore

Is it normal? with v 7.0 it was a straight flat line with 99% GPU load (settings: -ss 2 -t 8, catalyst 14.3)

Claymore, is there something to be hidden in the Data.bin in v8 of your miner? Your v7 and below has always been using k<num>.dat, which is the compiled OpenCL binary. OpenCL binary is an ELF format file (you can see ELF in the strings if you try to open it). v7 and below, your OpenCL binary is not encrypted but in v8, it seems to be. Was it because you are using madmax - eXtremal's code?
If you are, that's fine so long as you give credits to these great ppl. It is unethical if you are using theirs and taking dev fee for yourself not giving credit.

I had a lot of miner versions before opensource miners and speed of my miner always was comparable with best miners. v9 will have more speed than v8. v10 will be faster than v9. And you always can say that I steal some ideas from somebody, I won't be able to prove anything since my miner is not opensource and I'm not going to do it. But also somebody (who knows a lot about ELF files for example) can steal my ideas so I decided to protect both EXE and OpenCL code. I'm not going to discuss it anymore. I do give credits to all opensource miners - we have a lot of miners now and you can select the best miner for you.
