This days many folks has joined the gambling system without looking back, the rate of gamblers are increasing on a daily basis and the most craziest part is that not everyone of them has a genuine intentions, some are just doing it for the fun, some came in quest for quick success, some do it for short term profit, many people with many options.

However, seeing all these latest happenings have made me thought of bringing this topic for the members of this house to look into it. Nobody will aggry to the fact that they gamble for any of those crazy reasons stated above, they we all say they do it for the fun, so what's your purpose of gambling? are you really doing it for the fun or you are just among those that are doing something else and hiding under the umbrella of doing it for the fun. I do gamble for fun. But there is only one right way to do it: With miniscule amounts of money and a fixed budget.

If you can accept that gambling is either a zero sum game (at best) and a negative drain on your finances (at usual) then you will realize there is no point in chasing invisible riches that may or may never come. Best throw away a few cents but get the dopamine rush and adrenalin thrill of winning/losing. The games are designed to keep you entertained and playing. So why waste larger amounts of money for the same entertainment?

The thing is is not everyone that is gambling that sees it as a game of fun. Most of the people that claim that they gamble for fun are just trying to give them self a false hope or they trying not to look bad in the eyes of people. In reality, the main reason why people gamble is to make some cash and I don't see anything wrong with it expect when it is being approached in a wrong way.
There are people that is willing to do anything to entertain themselves, it is only when they throw in more than they afford to lose then is no longer entertaining.

Those people are going to be gambling anyway. If they wish to hide behind excuses then that is their right as free human beings.

Every adult man and woman should be able to have enough self control to not bet their life's savings away. And if they have such little control and discipline in their lives then they should stay away from gambling and seek professional help.

I am not without fault but I have also never bet my house away. Nor do I plan to. I am just telling people what I do and what works for me.

First of all: nobody can deny that bet is fun. The thrill of put real money into something that you believe will happen and then wait your "reward" for being right is something we can certainly call that are "fun", then... my first answer to you is: Yes, I always play for fun!

But it is true that are some people (or many peoples) who play to make money also or just to make money, and they do not have fun with it. They are cold and bet on something only because they see financial opportunities. I regret that there are still people like that today, because we know that make money with gambling or sports bet are becoming increasingly difficult, so... people that play with this purpose are, at the very least, ignorants.

I do not hide anything... I've always play for fun. I like football and make bet on it, and I also spending some money on slots sometimes too, but it is never been about money.

Most of us here might have similar experience with you, as we thought that gambling is very easy to make money but then we found out it's different. But still we insists on playing again and again until we become addiction.

But as we go along, we might snap and break the curse of this addiction. And so with that, we learn how to control and just play with the money that we can afford to lose. As for the life lessons, yes, it hard but everything is on the mind. If we shift our focus, then we could really stop that addiction.

If we really want to be honest about this most gamblers don't actually gamble for entertainment they hide the fact that they gamble to make profit and in my opinion making profit isn't really bad. The problem with a lot of gamblers is that they don't go about making profit the right way. You must always stake low or just gamble within your means instead of staking irresponsibly just because you are also aiming to win big, this is what makes a lot of gamblers lose a lot

No, it is not for fun. If it were for fun then I won't gamble at all. I don't need to put money where it won't have possibility or expectation of generating additional money or higher money. I would rather play around with children or play on PS without staking money to it. The fact is, I believe everyone who engages money to bet on a game is doing that for the intention of getting additional money. Although some will say they gamble for fun because they reduced their risk but that is also an intentional act not to lose much and to also gain additional money in return.

No, it is not for fun. If it were for fun then I won't gamble at all. I don't need to put money where it won't have possibility or expectation of generating additional money or higher money. Maybe you have different interpretations of having fun on the casino since my way on having fun on the casino is when I experience huge win or winning streak. Also aiming for profit is part of having fun.

I think the for fun here is a literal meaning to be happy only on the games which in reality casino games is not good to play without money involved, I’d rather play video games than play casino games without bet.

As for me, I play on casino whenever I don’t have important things to do while I have excess money.

To me it is actually quite transparent.
People gamble for either the sake of getting fun or because of money.
During their personal travel through the world of gambling, every person can get a change in their intentions and actually stop gambling for fun and start doing it for the sake of money and vice-versa.

In the end, the important part is to be honest with ourselves and understand what we are going and why we are doing it. Gambling addiction usually starts when we do things and we don't understand why we are doing them to begin with, that is why in many occasions those who are addicted to gambling have no idea they are addicted, I til it is already too late.

That is true, at the end of the day it is your money and not someone else's. Thus, you need to take care of your own business and do what you need to do. For fun or for profit, either way, you are the one who knows your financial conditions. There's no need to follow someone else's piece of advice if you know very well your financial aspects.
