Let me also add my voice saying that I think you should add a tooltip on top of the box saying "it is disabled for now" instead of letting the user guess.

Also it would be best if you added the option to switch the webpage's theme. Not everyone likes a dark theme (it's annoying to the eye!). Usually sites either go with a light theme only or add the option to switch between dark and light.

Originally, it was called only Fast mode, a little later the part "White" was added. Most likely, the FAQ was written at that time, and since there were no technical changes, only "cosmetic" ones, it might not have been a priority to change that either.
I'm not sure if it was with dex.fo exchange, but White was an additional option with Fast mode, where the user can request on clean and low-AML-score coins.

On the name: White isn't a separate option you request, it's the same Fast mode. It describes where the coins come from — in Fast & White, payouts are made from our own reserves, so the coins are fully exchange-sourced, with no bridge or routing trail. That's the difference from Chain mode.

On the tooltip: we don't plan to add one. When the mode is paused, the card is greyed out and can't be selected, and with the shimmer removed the inactive state is clear on its own.

On the theme switch: thanks for the suggestion, but we don't plan to add it.

Actually it's a fast mode and they shifted into Fast & White and if you tried to hover the information icon beside is tells that "We do not send dirty or flagged coins." so my interpretation right here is Fast and Clean. Well just well explained already by the Dex.fo itself here.

Chain always routes through the bridge/cross-chain path — our own reserves are never used there, regardless of order size. Small or large, it's the same route.

It's planned, but not next. The priority right now is finishing the Fast & White work and the other fixes on the list — once the system is fully dialed in, expanding the coin list is the next step. No dates until we're actually there.

I used this service for an exchange worth approximately $420. There were no delays, the service completed the transaction within the timeframe specified on the website.

I would like to point out that my sent transaction appeared in the exchange interface only after two BTC confirmations, even though I had refreshed the page during the process.

I have done some UI design for desktop apps, in my experience the users are actually quite divided on this matter. It's like half of them claim dark themes are easier on the eye while other half claim the opposite (light theme is easier on the eye). This is why UI designers include the choice to switch between the two.

Of course another reason is time of the day. It is easier to look at light theme in day-light (or in a bright room) while it is easier to look at dark theme at night (or in darker room).

I would like to point out that my sent transaction appeared in the exchange interface only after two ₿ confirmations, even though I had refreshed the page during the process.

That's intended behaviour, not a display bug — the order page shows the deposit once it has the confirmations it needs, so refreshing earlier won't surface it. Thanks for the report on the swap itself.

On the icon: that's by design — when the mode is off, the whole card including the icon is inactive. The tooltip describes how the mode works, so there isn't much use for it while the mode isn't selectable.

On the theme: the reasoning makes sense, and we're not dismissing it — it's a question of order. First we get the technical side fully dialed in, then we expand the coin list, and design work like this comes after that. So not now, but it's not off the table either.

SimpleX is a good way to communicate with the team privately, you don't give anything to SimpleX, and you can easily convey your message to the team, although messaging on SimpleX can be more time consuming than messaging them here, but if you are not in a hurry then that's a good option, but that option is mainly for anonymity and privacy.

You should give it a try and ask the team if they have a GF on SimpleX and tell us how much time they will take to respond back to you haha. Ok, don't ask about GF, that can be personal haha.

Both work, but it's actually the other way round — SimpleX is usually the faster way to reach us. Forum PMs are fine too for anyone who prefers to stay here.

As for girlfriends for bitcoin — if enough people ask, we'll consider adding it to the roadmap 😄
