The point difference is small because the season hasn't gone half, the margin might extend as more games are played. In certain regards, the team that wins the league don't lead with a wide margin, the small advantage with 1 point apart is enough to become champions. Galatasaray are favourites because they are doing better than any other team in the Turkish League, Galatasaray just won their Champions League fixture against Stuttgart, it's hard not to admit they are favorites.

Galatasaray is historically the best team and the most in form of the Turkish championship, and in the top European competitions they have always performed at the top, so i think that this year we still have a lot to see from this team which, even if it doesn't seem like it, has excellent chances of winning the Turkish championship.

We can't take them out of this discussion because they are in good form right now; they are making the competition more interesting this season.

Fenerbahçe is currently sitting in the sixth position with just 16 points; they were able to only win five matches, draw one, and lose four. They are not in form despite all the players they have signed. But it is not yet over because I believe they can still bounce back, but we can't say that they will be in the title race again. We can now say that the title race will be between Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Amed SK, and maybe Beşiktaş.

But it seems that the title fight will not be between these three teams, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor seem to be in a good position in the title fight, but Fenerbahçe may disappoint me. I can't say what will happen at the end of the season, but Fenerbahçe is really not performing as expected.

I haven't changed my expectations yet, but I still have my hopes for these three teams. Fenerbahçe finished the season in second place in recent seasons, so we might see a comeback from them towards the end. Well, the numbers seem to be trending heavily in favor of Galatasaray, and honestly, I can't see Fenerbahçe as a title contender anymore. I know you might disagree, but looking at what's been happening in the Turkish league over the last 12 years, we can easily conclude that Fenerbahçe is no longer fighting for the title. They might be fighting for a place in European competitions, but not for the title. I say this because:

1 - Galatasaray = 26 titles

2 - Fenerbahçe = 19 titles

3 - Beşiktaş = 16 titles

And when you look at the most recent titles, who won them? We might be shocked.

Up until 2014, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe had the same number of titles won, 19 titles each if I'm not mistaken in the math. As you can see in this photo, Fenerbahçe has never won the Turkish league from 2014 to 2026, but in that same period, Galatasaray managed to win the Turkish league 7 times. Even Beşiktaş managed to win the Turkish league 3 times in the period from 2014 to 2026. This shows that Fenerbahçe has lost its ability to fight for the title, in my opinion. I don't know what's going through the Fenerbahçe management's heads; they don't seem to see this. This season will be another title for Galatasaray, and I believe that if Galatasaray doesn't win the title next season, then Fenerbahçe won't win it either. It could probably be Beşiktaş.

The problem with Fenerbahce is that their performances are not consistent so they might have a stellar performance today and a shitty one for the next 2 games and they won't be able to compete well for the title with that kind of inconsistency.

Technically, they may still have a chance of winning the title, but anyone who follows the Turkish league closely knows that this chance is now very, very slim. First of all, it doesn’t look as though Galatasaray will let the league slip away. In my view, it’s very, very unlikely that they’ll drop points, either through a poor performance or with the help of the referees. Secondly, we can all foresee that Fenerbahçe will drop points. They may have secured a good result against Liverpool, but I don’t think they’re performing particularly well overall. A new manager is coming in – Fenerbahçe’s former player, Emre Belözoğlu. I tough times are waiting for him. Now, following yesterday’s match against Liverpool, if there’s even the slightest negative result, people will be asking whether it would have been better if Kuyt had stayed. I’d be willing to bet that Fenerbahçe won’t win the title.

Well, I'm a Liverpool fan and I watched the game earlier today, and I was impressed with the level of performance that Fenerbahçe put up against Liverpool. The problem with Fenerbahce is that their performances are not consistent so they might have a stellar performance today and a shitty one for the next 2 games and they won't be able to compete well for the title with that kind of inconsistency.

Having won three of their four Champions League matches, Liverpool likely expected an easy victory against Fenerbahçe; however, the Fenerbahçe players were extremely focused.

fenerbache always manages to amaze despite everything, positive and negative, no one would have thought that it would have been so easy for them to win against liverpool, it certainly seems like a stroke of luck for them but they still won and this is a very positive thing that calls into question everything they say about them.
