What a game we are watching! Grin Nobody expected this score in first half. Trabzonspor 3-0 Galatasaray and it's only half time. They also missed 4th goal a couple of times. Trabzonspor is playing a one sided game. Galatasaray looked finished. This may be their biggest upset this season. I wonder what will Okan say at half time. It's almost impossible to turn things around so they might play to not concede goals anymore. Grin
Galatasaray cannot turn the game around in the second half, they have already lost this match. If care is not taken, Trabzonspor will score more goals in the remaining second half. What is Galatasaray's problem? They began well, and watching them play is really horrible.

They have always had a defensive problem, which may be the cause of losing the league title, it has happened that Galatasaray is giving up their first spot at the top of the standings, result of the Besiktas match against Amed SK will decide.

Trabzonspor showed no mercy to Galatasaray, scoring three goals in the first half alone two of them from Salah.  Cheesy
Did anyone see a result like this coming? Okan Buruk ought to resign after a defeat of this magnitude, though I doubt he actually will.
What changes will Okan Buruk make for the second half? He doesn't have many alternatives. He might bring on someone like Batrakov, but overcoming a 3-0 deficit is nearly impossible.
There's almost no chance of closing this gap now. Trabzonspor wants to score more goals and achieve one of their historic victories against Galatasaray. Mohamed Salah is currently putting on a show for Trabzonspor. He scored two goals and provided one assist, contributing to all three. Trabzonspor perhaps made their best transfer of the year by signing him. Despite his age, he's still playing magnificently. Even those who were initially skeptical are now saying Trabzonspor did well to sign Salah.

Okan Buruk never gives up on his Sara obsession... Okan Buruk has no Plan B... Okan Buruk lacks the ability to make in game adjustments... And as the players start taking their spot in the starting eleven for granted, they don't bother putting in any extra effort on the pitch... Therefore, the emperor has no clothes anymore.
And after this match, there's the Barcelona game coming up next...

Today's matches are just being too messy, I don't understand how Galatasaray are losing 3:0 to Trabzonspor. I'm not so surprised because Trabzonspor has also made some improvements in their recent matches and again they are among the top 4 teams in thr Super Lig. What Galatasaray needs to do now is to try to cancel some goals by scoring like one to 2 goals because if Trabzonspor scores more goals it will really be very disastrous for Galatasaray. This is why the injury of Victor Osimhen is really becoming a big problem because he possess some kind of aura and energy in the squad and I don't even know how long his injury will last before he gets back to fitness.

I didn't get a chance to watch the first half of the Galatasaray-Trabzonspor match, but once I saw the 3-0 scoreline, I tuned in for the second half.
Galatasaray tried to attack, buoyed by the scoreline, but those attempts came to nothing in Osimhen's absence; I didn't see a single moment in the second half that really tested Onana.
I could see the impact "Reis" has had on the team here: Dju was leading Trabzonspor's attack. Had Hüseyin Şimşir been the manager, Onuachu would have been the one up front.
He did come on later, but it looked as though he didn't have the energy to run.
Salah really showed his class in this match, scoring a hat-trick and playing a pivotal role in the victory.
Galatasaray looks very weak without Osimhen.
The Kasımpaşa match is coming up after the international break, followed by the game against Barcelona. I am most curious about the result of the Barcelona match; if Galatasaray takes the field without Osimhen, they could suffer a heavy defeat against Barcelona.

You’ve raised a very good point. The Barcelona match follows this one. Barcelona is a team that constantly applies high pressure. Okan Buruk is trying to do the same but isn't succeeding; as you said, he doesn't have an alternative plan. A Galatasaray side that conceded four goals against Trabzonspor could easily ship at least twice that many against Barcelona. I’m afraid the Barcelona match might end with a massive margin of defeat.

He indeed showed his worth. It really was a very impressive match. They scored four goals against a team that had won the league four years running and had more or less kept the same squad, with three of those goals coming from a hat-trick by the star player they’d spent a fortune on. I was only able to watch the goals and the key moments, but it was brilliant, to be honest, to see Salah launch such a swift attack and finish it off with a goal. If you look closely, Salah is running forward with the ball, but the defenders, despite running at full speed, can’t catch up with him. In fact, Salah maintains his distance whilst running, even as he advances with the ball.

I haven’t been able to follow Galatasaray much this season. Is there a big difference compared to previous years? Is there a reason why they’re performing so poorly? Could someone explain this to me?

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. It is not only in one league but across board, most predictions are going the opposite direction. As I type, Barcelona is losing to Sevilla, as if that is not enough and Ajax at  home is losing to SBV Excelsior. Earlier today Arsenal suffered that big loss to Brighton while Molde lost also at home to Aalesund and I begin to wonder how bettors will cope today with this type of horrible score lines.

I must commend Mohammed Salah who scored hat trick today, indeed he has proven in another league that he is a goal machine. Despite the losses incurred from betting, I must admit that there were lots of beautiful football this weekend.

Having a reliable striker in a team is very important, and this is what has started given Trabzonsphor advantage since Moh Sallah joined them in the Turkish League. They are now above the level they were before he joined, and now they have more fans and more social media engagements, these are the benefits of signing big players not just to perform in the field of play.

Since Victor Osimhen got injured, I noticed that Galatasaray has been struggling to win matches while the win easily when he is fit, I think the team needs to stop depending fully on him because he can leave the team anytime, if they can’t play as a team without any of their current players, then they are not ready to compete in tough competitions like the Champions League.

Although Galatasaray remains at the top before Besiktas play their Week 6 match, if they win, they will to the second position, and with the red card they have received in this match, I think they need to be careful not to lose more matches.

First hat-trick in the bag for Mo-Salah. I couldn't watch the early parts of the match until late in the second half as I was expecting a close affair. Salah now has 7 goals and 2 assists in 6 games since joining Trabzonspor. Just a few months ago, Arne Slot said Salah's career was finished but here he is months later doing things that only Mo-Salah does.

It would make a lot of sense to see Trabzonspor and Besiktas compete for the title this season. They have a team that is on-par with Gala.

In as much as I know that Galatasaray can’t win this match against Trabzonspor, I’m a bit shocked to see the manner in which they’ve been humiliated by Trabzonspor. I knew this was going to be a very difficult game for Galatasaray as they will struggle to contain the pressure from trabzonspor who are playing at home and with the desire to compete for the league title this season. It’s really a big win for Trabzonspor, they took their chances as I’ve expected them to.

I believe this should serve as a wake up call for Galaterssary to prepare themselves fully against Barcelona in the champions league. Galaterssary are more stronger at home and that is one advantage they could get in this fixture against Barcelona, it’s not always easy coming to Galaterssary and get a win or score a lot of goals so I’m anticipating a very tight encounter between both teams. Hopefully before then Victor Osimehn would be back into the team to give the team more intensity.

Galatasaray lost by four goals after salah added another one to complete a hattrick, sometimes it seems like Galatasaray can’t have a good performance without Osimhen on the pitch and that’s really a big problem for them, they need to have a team that’s sustainable even when Osimhen is injured or not available.

They were very good in their last match against Kocaelispor even without Osimhen, I wonder what happened today that they lost so terribly and even ended up picking two red cards in the game.

I must commend Mohammed Salah who scored hat trick today, indeed he has proven in another league that he is a goal machine.
~

Salah had such an amazing performance in this game, not only did he score a hattrick he also provided the assist for the other goal scored by Saviolo.

I just saw him trending and jumping in so as to see the reason why, I figured he got his first ever hat trick for Trabzonspor. And Andrea Onana kept a clean sheet?! It feels good to see him at his best after everything he's faced as a Manchester United goalkeeper.

It was few days back when I said that both Mason Greenwood and Mo Salah would be a tough competition for Victor Osimhen this season, now look at the competition already. Mo Salah is a complete hunter and will fight until he wins it. Arne Slot wanted to build his own team, but he did that by disrespecting Liverpool's best player over the years. Managers would say anything to get rid of a player they don't want.

This is just their first loss of the season in the Super Lig and they went losing 4-0, it was indeed a humiliating result. Galatasaray didn't play badly just that they didn't target their shot to the goal post, although Trabzonspor isn't an easy side they have even strengthen their team more by signing Mo Salah who scored a hat trick today against Galatasaray. I still believe in Galatasaray, the Super Lig tittle is still there's but victor Osimhen needed a quick recovery from his injury before it gets late, i believe if he was in todays game he would have made the score line not look so bad. Barcelona is also a good team i think they can win Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions league.

I’m afraid the Barcelona match might end with a massive margin of defeat.

and Galatasaray is going to get exposed in every hostile away game with this midfield structure. going into these fixtures with a line of Leao, Sand and Sara is suicide...
you can't win a championship with wingers like that. they don't press up front, they don't track back and they offer zero end product.

A nightmarish day has passed for Galatasaray.
Trabzonspor defeated Galatasaray 4-0.
Galatasaray created scoring chances in the first half, but their finishing was poor.
The poor form of Sané, Leão, and Barış Alper was also a major factor in Galatasaray's defeat.
In my opinion, Galatasaray needs to develop a style of play that allows them to pick up points even in Osimhen's absence.

We saw that Victor Osimhen is everything for Galatasaray. Salah is a magnificent player, and with 3 goals and 1 assist for Trabzonspor, he played one of his best games of the year. His excellent performance, especially against Galatasaray, showed us once again how good a player he is. Trabzonspor achieved an easy victory at home against a tough and strong team like Galatasaray. Another team that was as pleased with this was Fenerbahçe, because in a season where Fenerbahçe started with points losses, Galatasaray's points loss was something they expected.

Well, too bad for Arne slot too because he lost his job trying to get Salah to leave the team. I'm happy for players like Salah, Greenwood and even Onana. All three players have something in common and that is the fact that they didn't leave their previous teams on happy terms.  I'm very glad that Galatasaray won't just have just have it easy this season.

Fun-fact:  The last time Galatasaray lost 4 -0 was against Trabzonspor on September 1, 2018. Tongue

Everything was just wrong in this game, I couldn't believe my eyes that Galatasaray was losing that way, the way they played was just really not the way of champions. I really think they are missing the presence of Osimhen and Lamina but I still expect a better performance from the players. Sometimes these players won't be available and they will need to take charge.

It usually gets difficult for a team when the wingers are not productive and offering much up front. Most teams doing better across Europe usually have one or two deadly wingers that makes the work easy for the team. Most top teams have good wingers that's why they easily stand out.

Trabzonspor had started the league poorly and was facing heavy criticism from the fans however, the victory they secured today will erase the memory of past defeats it was a massive win. Mohamed Salah proved what a great signing he was by scoring a hattrick in the derby. Great players show their true quality in big matches, and that is exactly what Salah did. As for Galatasaray, there is no hope at all. They made their signings at the last minute, and they were all poor choices. I do not even want to talk about Okan Buruk.

This was a match where everything went wrong for Galatasaray.

Trabzonspor 4 – 0 Galatasaray

They conceded four goals, scored none, and as if that weren't bad enough received a red card. It was a nightmare of a game for Galatasaray; looking at how Trabzonspor’s goals were scored, it is clear that the Galatasaray defense made numerous errors. The primary mistake was pushing too far upfield and neglecting their own defensive duties as seen, for instance, in the first goal they conceded:

Salah ran a long distance across the pitch with no one in front of him to stop him this happened because the entire Galatasaray defense was positioned deep in Trabzonspor's half, a grave error on their part. A series of further mistakes followed, leading to more goals, but what really caught my attention was that Salah scored his fourth goal in exactly the same way he scored his first. Honestly, seeing it made me wonder: " What exactly are those Galatasaray defenders doing hanging around the Trabzonspor goalkeeper's area? "

Once again, Salah ran a long distance across the pitch without encountering any Galatasaray players in his path and scored. The same mistake happened twice it was very strange. It looked as though all the Galatasaray players were competing to see who could score the most goals in the match, to the point where the defenders forgot their own positions. In any case, with this defeat, Galatasaray risks losing the top spot.
