İsmail Kartal had tried to resign before, but the club refused to accept it. This time, when he resigned again, they couldn't ask him to stay. Fenerbahçe has been having problems with the manager position for years. Maybe İsmail Kartal should never have left in the first place. They could have built a squad suited to his style and followed a long-term plan for at least four or five years, which might have led to better results. This is exactly the problem with our clubs they don't have long-term plans.

Unfortunately the big teams in Türkiye don't have the habit of being patient.
Our teams expect immediate success from every new coach but things are not that easy.
New coaches should be given time and allowed to build their own squads. Only after that should success be expected from them.

For example, I think Fenerbahçe's management will expect the new coach who is about to arrive to win the championship by the end of the year, but he won't be able to do so and then they will start looking for another new coach again.

I agree, maybe the biggest problm of our clubs is having no long-term plans. Only the short term solutions. Given Fenerbahçe's current situation, it was clear that İsmail Kartal's resignation was about to happen. I reckon they'll now try to find another short-term solution. I've even seen reports about Montella and Tedesco. Tedesco might be a good option, but I still don't think they've put together a sound long-term plan. Apart from Galatasaray's long-term success in recent years, Beşiktaş have made the best move: they’ve found a good coach and are trying to establish a clear game plan. It would be good for Fenerbahçe to do the same. This season seems as good as lost already. It's tough, but they should look ahead to the end of the 2027-2028 season and set a target for that, at the very least.

Long-term plans are an intrinsic phase of creating a quality team, i don't understand how anyone can fail to foresee that there will be bad moments and injuries and there are no plans to manage the team, then they could lead to much bigger problems, in fact it is also essential to manage player turnover.

Fenerbahçe put up with İsmail Kartal for far too long. It was obvious he wouldn't be successful. Aziz Yıldırım stood by him but that was a mistake. If he had accepted Kartal's resignation last month, Fenerbahçe might already be preparing a new game plan with a new coach by now. They wasted time for nothing.

Dirk Kuyt is set to lead the team until a new manager arrives. Perhaps he'll take advantage of this opportunity and make some progress in his manager career. There aren't really many expectations left this year.

Yesterday was a busy day for football fans around the world but massively congratulations to Galatasaray 2-1 against Fenerbahçe I was not able to watch the game yesterday I was focused to the most prestigious award in football the Ballon d'or that at side victor osimhen is looking so sharp this season already with his teammates the communication between the players is amazing you can clearly see that whenever the Galatasaray players get the ball they move forward to create chances to victor osimhen for him to strike the ball at the back of the net.

Yeah, the Ballon D'Or ceremony distracted a lot of us from the matches that played on Monday but we were still able to get the highlights of how some matches played. I keep saying that Osimhen is a world class player but I don't know why big teams in Europe are not asking to sign him to their club. Osimhen keeps standing out in the Turkish league and his goal scoring experience is really marvelous because I don't even understand how he manages to create scoring opportunities even when he is in a tight position. He scored 2 decisive goals that helped Galatasaray move to the top. When Osimhen is present and when he is absent is really not same feeling because I still remember when he was out due to an injury and the team's performance depreciated. If Osimhen can join any of the top European teams he might stand a chance of winning the Balloon D'or.

When a coach has some good history with a club as someone who has won a trophy for them either currently or before they usually consider them a lot in the club even if their coaching is not bringing much positive impact on the team, so perhaps it was because of the past Aziz Yıldırım was looking at that's why he couldn't let him resign on the first time because he believed he could win this season trophy but unfortunately with this form is impossible for them to. However if Fenerbahce is not fast with new coach they would definitely loss a lot of point to Galatasaray on the table because I don't think Dirk Kuyt would do much as there Interim coach.

Fenerbahçe cannot win the championship with such an aging squad. I am curious to see what the scorelines will be in their matches against Liverpool; with a defense like this, Fenerbahçe might even end up breaking our 8-0 record.

That's your opinion but I still think that Fenerbahce can get back the compete for the Championship. It's a long season ahead so you shouldn't just concluded yet. Aged players in the squad are not really the problem of Fenerbahce, it's just that Galatasaray was the stronger team with a home advantage. If you watch the match you will see that Galatasaray were only great in the first half, when it got to the second half they lost their balance and Fenerbahce almost levelled the score but they were juat not lucky enough. Before you predict that Liverpool can win Fenerbahce up to 8:0, also know that Liverpool is not as fierce as they used to be and they have an important matches to play before they will meet Fenerbahce which means that they can exhaust their strength in those matches. Don't also forget that Liverpool has been conceding 3 goals each in their last 2 UCL matches so even if they will win, Fenerbahce is going to get goals.

Galatasaray win games even when Osimhen isn’t there, but they win much more comfortably when he is. The main reason he hasn’t moved to a European club is his very high salary. If he were to accept a lower salary, I’m sure he could find a spot at many clubs. But he’d earn less than half of what he makes here. As for the Ballon d’Or, I don’t think he stands much of a chance. Even though he’s one of the best strikers in the world, there will always be 3-4 players ahead of him. He might be nominated for it as his greatest achievement, but winning it? It’s tough with such strong competitors standing in his way.

The quality of players in Galatasaray is unmatched when compared to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray was on a mission to retake their spot league table that was temporarily occupied by Amed. Playing at home only intensified what was to expect of them and Osimhen gave one of his best performances yesterday.
Although, I couldn't help but marvel at the  Fenerbache only goal in the game, it was a phenomenal one but, they just didn't do enough to convince themselves that they could get anything from that game.

One team that earned my respect yesterday was Trabzonspor, M. Salah and his boys were able to come back from a 2 goals loss in the first half, scoring 3 goals before a reply and went further to get a 4th goal to win the match.

These teams don't have the slightest chance of winning against galatasaray which is a team that has a lot of talent and also the desire to win, so i don't think there is any match for other teams, the game gets tough and these players always put their soul into it when they play, i don't see other teams in Turkey doing this.

Osimhen is a good player and a great finisher but it hasn't reach the extent of winning the Balon d'Or in this generation of footballers because I don't see him in that level of Balon d'Or winners... Against Barcelona his performance was nothing to write home about. I am not doubting that he's a good player but for him to win the Balon d'Or, he will need a personal coach to help him control both his anger and his performance on the pitch. He misses several opportunities because of offsides which is already drawing attention after the Barcelona game.

He's very interested in the money he's receiving in turkey and will hardly leave except his contract is not renewed. If he's going to any of the Europe's top league, it should be Chelsea or teams like Manchester united or Tottenham where he will have a good playing time but may be limited based or team performance.

In fact, there are matches that Galatasaray has lost; for instance, Trabzonspor defeated them 4-0. While it is clear that Galatasaray has been in good form lately, there are many matches in Turkey that they could potentially lose. This is because they struggle significantly to score goals whenever Osimhen is unavailable due to injury. They are a very strong side when the Nigerian is on the pitch, but once he is sidelined, Galatasaray becomes an entirely different team.

A club needs a long-term plan and shouldn’t base its decisions solely on a single success or failure, especially if it’s a major club. I like how well-prepared Beşiktaş are at the moment. They have a good manager, and this squad wasn’t built in just one year. It was developed gradually, with improvements made season after season, which has brought them to where they are today.

You don't know jack shit about Turkish football. Where were you when Trabzonspor beat them 4-0? They scored 3 goals in the first half, if they hadn't eased up in the second half, it would've been a historic score. Even Çorum as a newly promoted team managed a draw against them. If they had a bit more experience, they would've beaten them. They haven't even played Beşiktaş yet, we'll see when they do. We haven't seen what they'll do against the team playing the best football this season. They haven't played Amed yet either.

Are you saying they're giving it their all, but other teams aren't? If something happened to Osimhen or if Yunus weren't there, there'd be no team left. Batrakov has been good this year, but aside from those 3 players, Galatasaray has no game-changer. In previous years they had Icardi, now they don't even have a backup striker.

the difficulties exist and must be overcome, this is why the best players can count on him, because he is not a person who gives up or who is used to giving up, and i think it is also necessary to understand why these types of players trust in him, i am happy that there is so much trust and that it is rewarded.

These teams don't have the slightest chance of winning against galatasaray which is a team that has a lot of talent and also the desire to win, so i don't think there is any match for other teams, the game gets tough and these players always put their soul into it when they play, i don't see other teams in Turkey doing this.

Saying other teams' player aren't puting their souls into the game is an interesting argument. Galatasaray is usually good but that statement is just wrong. No actual connection. Yes, Galatasaray is good and dominating the Turkish league for years, that is a fact. But if you saw their fans some times after the last season ended, they were immensely criticizing their club management. They thought they couldn't do enough transfers etc. Argument about the injuries are so right. They’re not getting the best out of their substitutes. They can put in a decent performance when the starting 11 are on the pitch, but the substitutes aren’t up to scratch. Just one or two injuries could change things significantly.

Tomorrow night Galatasaray will be the away team facing off against Konyaspor. And I think this is the most exciting match to watch in Round 10 of the Super Lig. Galatasaray certainly appears to have the upper hand over Konyaspor given their position at the top of the standings. And they have a much higher point total than Konyaspor which sits at the bottom in 14th place. But I see that Galatasaray’s defense is still quite vulnerable resulting in a goal difference that’s not as good as some of the teams below them in the standings. Konyaspor could capitalize on Galatasaray’s defensive weaknesses especially given the pressure Galatasaray will face as the visiting team to dominate this match. I predict that Konyaspor will likely defeat Galatasaray just as they did in their Round 23 matchup last season, where they scored two goals without conceding any to Galatasaray. The odds available for betting on Konyaspor to win this upcoming match are truly attractive at 4.90. But I personally feel that a Double Chance bet is a safer option betting on Konyaspor or a draw with odds of 2.24 (Source).

Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahçe 2-1 last week, but the match against Konyaspor will be a difficult one for them, especially since they have a Champions League game coming up next week.
For this reason, I expect Galatasaray to drop points in this match.
Konyaspor has a good squad in terms of quality and has started to find their form in recent weeks.
I hope that after the match, the focus remains solely on the football, rather than on the referee's performance.
I believe Konyaspor will not be defeated.

I think Fenerbahçe's management will expect the new coach who is about to arrive to win the championship by the end of the year, but he won't be able to do so and then they will start looking for another new coach again.

IMO, Fenerbahce is the Manchester united of Turkiye Tongue

Compared to other Turkish club they are quite wealthy, have plenty of financial resource. And they do not hold back when spending money. But they still fail to achieve expected result.

A few years ago, club appointed experienced manager like Mourinho. Very rarely has such high profile manager come to the Super lig. But Mourinho left having tarnished his reputation. Despite having sufficient fund and opportunity he was unable to succeed.

AFAIK, Ismail Kartal has previously managed Fenerbahce twice, but he failed to deliver desired result. Even so bringing him back for another stint is total mystery. It is precisely because of such bizarre management decisions that I am comparing this club to Manchester united. Cheesy

Good analogy. Fenerbahçe has always been the club that spends the most money in this league, regardless of their revenue, their expenses are always the highest. Despite this, the club hasn't achieved any sporting success in a long time. If it weren't for the support of their wealthy fans, they would've gone under long ago. Right now all the clubs are deeply in debt but they're managing to stay afloat somehow.

Moving the stadium is on the agenda these days. If this happens, they'll have to give up their home in Kadıköy, where they've played for +120 years, to make way for real estate development and will be forced to move to Maltepe or some other ridiculous location. I hope the fans can put a stop to this nonsense.

Konyaspor is playing very poorly this year; their league position doesn't mean anything, they can't get any points from any matches. They can't score goals and they're not successful in defense. They were very bad at the beginning of last season too, and they will probably continue like this this season and might even end up in the relegation zone.

I don't think Konyaspor has any chance of winning this match. Galatasaray will win this match without any difficulty Smiley

This must be a joke. Osimhen is a good goalscorer, but he’s not good enough to win the Ballon d’Or. At most, he might earn a nomination—that’s as far as it goes.
I don’t even think that’s a goal of his. If it were, he would be playing for a major club in Europe. He prioritizes the money; no other club in Europe would pay him what he’s currently earning at Galatasaray. From here, his next destination will likely be a club in Saudi Arabia.
Teams like Tottenham or Barcelona wouldn’t sign him.
