Right now, all I'm seeing tells me the news won't slow down. I think it's because there are rules, and the FA follows them. They have to give Man City a fixed window to respond, appeal, maybe pull some other moves. At the same time, they have to figure out what punishment to hand down. I think they've got a few options, but they can only pick one. Even the players can't agree on what to do about the titles, for example (just take the title away or move other teams up). They can't afford to make a mistake now.
Well, that’s what we heard, but I think this is just another way to slow down the whole process so that they can decide the punishment because the initial punishment we were all expecting as they were confirmed guilty cannot work anymore because they gave backings and many things are coming up in favor of Manchester City and they will have pardon; they will be charged but I don’t think it will be as we were thinking. Their performance today against Liverpool will determine how effective these charges is to the player and their performance, if they can win against Liverpool, the players will be motivated further until final verdict is announced. I watched the game. I know Man City's players, how much they cost, and when they were bought. But seeing them play online impressed me far more than seeing it on paper. They look like a team that bought two or three Premier League clubs and can easily decide who starts and who comes off the bench - someone of equal quality. They could destroy the league. There has to be a serious punishment, regardless of whether they admit guilt.

With the way it is going this case will definitely linger for a very long time until they find a soft landing for Man city, Man city will do everything possible to ensure that they are not relegated, soon you will see a new amendment to the rules, we can’t take away politics from football, if it was a smaller team a verdict would have been given since but because it is Man city a lot of delays and considerations.
An appeal has been lodged by Manchester city and it usually takes 12 weeks to be completed so we're likely going into see some final decisions from the independent commission in January 2027. The league integrity lies on this case, I don't think it's something they can sweep under the pillow anymore and every club seems to be having interest in this case. The sooner this case is settled by dishing out a severe punishment to Manchester City, which I’m completely sure that the punishment is going to be severe, the better for everyone, and the integrity of the Premier League is now being dragged into the mud by Manchester City, Manchester City have already been found guilty of committing fraud and cheating their way to the top, every Premier League club is calling for the Premier League to be fast in passing out the verdict of the Punishment, was an appeal necessary in the first place ?, because you’ve already been found guilty why appealing again, the longer this case continues to drag on until probably summer and Manchester City ends up winning the Premier League then I must say the Premier League have been destroyed because Premier League would end up loosing sponsorship deals and Tv rights, the lose which will come from Manchester City winning the league is going to be tremendous, because how do you have a Premier League Champions who have been found guilty for committing crimes against other Premier League Clubs, and have been found guilty, I think February we should already know the punishment for Manchester City because uncertainty isn’t good for the game of football and the Premier League, a club with tainted legacy as Manchester City can’t be allowed to be roaming around in the Premier League freely, just imagine allowing a criminal escape from Prison, people would definitely be in danger because that Criminal would end up committing another crime, so it’s better to keep them in prison to pay for their crimes by relegating them to a lower division to suffer for their crimes against teams in the Premier League, “After all Manchester City really Robbed us all in the Premier League for so many years.

Of course they are a great team and play well, but that's exactly where the problem lies, the reason is that City were able to spend huge amounts of money on signing the best players while allegedly breaching the Premier League's financial rules. That's what all the charges are about. If they had stayed within the financial limits set by the Premier League, they might only have been able to assemble part of this squad and might not be as strong as they are today.

That's where the problem lies, any team withe the squad will also do more damage to their league just as they've done over the years. I saw this video on X https://x.com/TrollFootball/status/2109330176828166304 and I couldn't stop laughing. That said it all, achieving success by crook will not make it right now matter how long it lasts. I don't like the fact that Manchester city is associated with this level of saga because we've enjoyed their games both in England and Europe as a whole. Another question struck my mind, if Manchester city gets striped of their premier League, what happens to the champions League they won during this period? The damage will never be fully paid for as noted by Pochettinho in what he called a deceptive era. Smh.

That's what all the charges are about. And also the lie about the amount they receive from their sponsorships, whereas it was their owner's that was dumping cash into the clubs account. But they've come out to deny the information. What I am still concerned about is the amount of money they used to sign Erling Haaland, it's way below his transfer fee. I remember that Barcelona were in pursuit of Halaand when he was still playing at Borrusia Dortmund but were unable ot buy him because of the his demands and fees just for City to get him at cheaper rate. Let's see how their appeal and the evidence they will have to provide to prove their innocence goes. I am still holding my grounds that the verdict which will be imposed on them won't be harsh based on the political interference and influence we are beginning to see.

I don’t know much about Manchester City or soccer at all for that matter, especially internationally. I did however hear some rumblings about Manchester getting a new head coach next season. Some bloke named Roy Kent I believe. Congrats to him and I wish him well in the future.

I guess you do not need to tell us that you don't know anything about football (not soccer by the way), this post already passed that message clearly. Not like you'd care or understand, but Manchester City have been found guilty of inflating their revenue over a period of 9 years, effectively breaking the Premier League's rules, so now they face the possibility of heavy sanctions, should their appeal fail.

If premier league strip off their titles, surely the UEFA will also do the same , since they cheated with their financial status. The punishment most fans are thinking will be given to Manchester city might point deduction (but won't relegate them, maybe it's until the season ends before the points will be deducted) and probably transfer ban, I don't think stripping off their title will be allowed. I don’t know much about Manchester City or soccer at all for that matter, especially internationally. I did however hear some rumblings about Manchester getting a new head coach next season. Yea they just got a new coach this summer and his name is Enzo Maresca, the Ex head coach of Chelsea FC. I was surprised when you mentioned Roy Kent because I know him as a fictional character. You should try getting into football, it very interesting and entertaining especially when you start supporting a team and following up with games, players and rivalries.

I know that the match that Liverpool and Manchester City played recently everyone wanted Liverpool to win so they can laugh at Manchester City and call them cheaters, but unfortunately that did not happen Manchester City won Liverpool and they won them with a lot of goals at Liverpool's home which was actually very shameful to Liverpool.
I am very sure that Manchester City is not going to escape this one, they are actually going to be punished for cheating and the punishment may be to remove some point from them, I know Arsenal fans will love that kind of punishment 😂.

Two top players (plus one for the bench) this summer. One top defender this winter (and it seems some money changed hands that we don't see). They don't stop. Even if they get a transfer ban, as long as they can keep these players, they won't have to care about it for two or three years and can remain one of the leading teams. The gap between them and other teams is awful. Maybe only Arsenal has a squad of the same quality, but they bought players one by one over several years.

Liverpool fans could claim that the red card aided the win, it makes sense to an extent but that no excuse cause if the player who got booked was cautious he would've avoided the booking but the pressure was too much on him. Anyway the better team won but am suprised at Manchester City's confidence despite the whole issue on ground. Be honest, if you were an Arsenal fan won't you love it? . Asides Arsenal, fans of other big clubs in the league would be happy too, especially if they're given more stricter verdict like stripping them the titles they won through cheating. Manchester United's fans would be the happiest cause they'll be given 3 to 4 trophies if am not mistaken.

If that's the case then the Premier League is ruined. I have known the English Premier league to be corrupt but now that everything is coming out open, I doubt if Manchester City will be the only team to get penalised. Do you have any proof regarding what you're saying? What other clubs would be penalized and why? Because City have a huge difference compared to all the other clubs to begin with: they sponsor themselves. That's always been one of the main critics, and it's ridiculous they let them do it for so long. And sure, I know technically we're talking about "different owners", but in reality we all know it's the same money that gets moved around, so let's not pretend we're all stupid and we don't see it.

https://x.com/SkyNews/status/2110043843206783052Watch the video:. Manchester city aren't the only club lying about their finances, 94% of the premier league clubs are actually running at loss despite making huge revenues. They even said most of the EPL clubs can't survive 90 days without their owners funding. This Manchester city case are already exposing some clubs dirty deeds. So alot of the club's are actually broke,, yet they make huge signings + big salaries and bonuses while being at loss. The total revenue the premier league club made together was £9bn. To be honest, the way the price of player's in premier league are being inflated and signed by another premier league club really need to investigated. But First Manchester city needs to be punished to serve as an example for the remaining clubs.

To be honest, the way the price of player's in premier league are being inflated and signed by another premier league club really need to investigated. This is what we always said in several different threads: the domestic transfer market of the English Premier League is totally artificial. Of course I never had any proof to back this idea but it was the only possible and logical explanation. During the last years the prices made no sense, they were extremely inflated, any random player was sold for 50-60 millions. Savinho's move from City to Tottenham is a clear example.

About this city charges it has now gone beyond football to politics because of what the Saudi government has published about taking off there investments in the UK. To me there tittles and every other achievements should remain with them because it was all won at the pitch if actually they are found guilty after every investigation a points deduction should be the best possible outcome for any punishment and probably hit them a fine to pay . But generally football shouldn’t be judged on politics base on what the Saudi are coming out to say because it will only ruin the outcome and fun of football.

I think the scale of the "grey" economy can be roughly gauged even from this graph: It’s clear that City didn’t suddenly stop cheating in 2018, therefore, if you look at the earlier records, you could estimate that the inflated figures account for 60-70% or, at best, 50% of the total. I’m not sure to what extent the "grey economy" influences player prices in the Premier League, whether there’s a 100% correlation, but the fact that it plays a role is undeniable. City and other cheaters inflate player prices for no apparent reason, and the Premier League lives in its own world. Savinho is a good example, but I’m also struck by the case of that rat Isak - whom Liverpool bought for an absolutely unjustifiable sum, and the fact that Newcastle, in turn, signed Woltemade as a replacement, paying nearly twice as much as Bayern Munich could have offered Bayern was genuinely in shock.

What does bothers me about the transfer market in the premier league is how players who are not worth a particular price tag are actually bought or sold for. There are players whose price tags can never be justified no matter how you try to make it sound good. Another concern on this is how these same English clubs go to other leagues and buy players for lesser amounts but still end at selling same players at outrageous amounts.

To me I feel premier league clubs are doing some type of money laundering among themselves so that it can look like they actually making huge revenues on paper. Savinho, Marmoush, Ndiaye, Santos, Tielemans, tolani, were signed with huge transfer fees this summer even though their performance doesn't worth their price tag. According to reports, they are saying the premier league club might actually Incur total of £6bn loss. I said something here is some pages before, I wrote that Manchester city won't face any serve punishment due to some influence and political reasons, now that this case is already exposing the fellow English clubs, they might want to find a way to push themselves out if this current issue. Which not allowing Manchester to face a huge punishment, because if City goes down, they will find ways to pull other clubs down by also exposing their secrets. This is already becoming an interesting case. Every club in the premier especially the big 6s are all hiding a skeleton in their cupboard.

I don’t know much about Manchester City or soccer at all for that matter, especially internationally. I did however hear some rumblings about Manchester getting a new head coach next season. Some bloke named Roy Kent I believe. Congrats to him and I wish him well in the future. Man, Roy Kent is an actor not a manager or a footballer - you Americans should put in some efforts to understand football, we know you guys don't enjoy it so much. I don't enjoy watching basketball and baseball either but I know way too much about those sports. Btw, they got a new manager this season and he's doing well.

It must be something if someone who calls the game “soccer” has heard of Manchester City’s 114 charges. By the way, I did a google search on Roy Kent, and found he’s a character from the series Ted Lasso lol. I guess David Beckham and Lionel Messi moving to the MLS didn’t change much for American football.
