Leo Messi is a genius in football because explain to me how he's able to pull up such stats despite his age? He's aged enough and still yet, he does the magic on the pitch. Leo Messi is that player we look up to when we're talking about longevity in football, not only football but performing at the very top phase in football. The specialty of Messi's performance is that at one time when he had a lot of speed and stamina, he used it to score goals and it played a role in winning matches. But as time went by his speed decreased a bit, so he used dribbling and intelligence more to weaken the opponent. But  his performance has been consistent. The way he works as the toughest opponent player of an entire team alone, this cannot be understood without seeing his dominance in the last World Cup. The way he helped Argentina score goals with two important and successful assists in the match against England and took Argentina to the final, I have never seen a player who single handedly takes a team to the final. Messi may retire from club football while still in the best performance of his career. He is constantly scoring goals in club football. He has been maintaining this consistency for years, which is not seen in any other player.

I agree with you that Messi, considering his age, played brilliantly at the last World Cup in America and is the most deserving of Argentina playing in the final again.
However, this was possible because the entire Argentine team subordinated their game to Messi, so that he did not have to help in defense and was focused only on attack.
It is obvious that Messi is no longer physically powerful as before but he had much more support from his team than Ronaldo in the Portuguese team.
Unlike Messi, Ronaldo is going through big problems in the Portuguese team and is losing the support of the Portuguese fans.
However, without Messi, it will be a completely different Argentina team at the next World Cup and I think it will be very difficult to repeat the results they had in the last 4 World Cups, when they played in the final 3 times and were world champions once.

It is sensational to know that we all acknowledge the fact that this lad has a unique talent despite his age, at 19 he has already won many important trophies both for club and country which is impressive for a player within this age bracket.

What I think is that the player shouldn't promote himself like he did with the Ballon d'Or. What Lamine needs is to learn to be more humble and let others speak for him; there's nothing more to be done about it.
