It's my first post on Messi's decision to retire from the national league/team and all I can say is, that man right there put in everything into every single game he played. The undeniable passion to win, valiant approach, exceptional precision that something is done right 9 times out of 10 trials, we will never see a thing like that in football anymore.
Argentina with Messi and without Messi are 2 completely different teams and that's why I don't see them as favorites for the next world championship in 2030.
Even though Football geniuses like Messi are indeed rare and difficult to get. I am still willing to give Argentina the benefit of the doubt and also willing to give their remaining players some credit, this is their opportunity to prove to their country and the rest of the world they are more than Messi.
Nico Páz is a good replacement for him. I'm not saying he will do more of what we have seen so far, but he can hold on for a while. It's going to be quiet a challenging moment for him because the fans will be expecting something in that range of quality, which I doubt he has for now. I think the Argentina National team can still do well without him--- Who knows where this journey is headed? He may become a coach one day.
