Personally, i wouldn’t compare them to anyone, not even Lamine Yamal. It’s not that i’m underestimating him, but no matter how great his achievements are, he won’t be able to match Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, because those two are on a different level, one that’s extremely difficult to reach. I don't see how you can predict a footballer career's that is just beginning. Lamine Yamal's numbers are impressive for his age and role. You all talk about Ronaldo and Messi because we already saw what they did during their careers but I'm not so sure you ever watched them at the beginning: Ronaldo for example scored "only" 18 goals during his first 3 Premier League season (and played 95 matches): are those numbers impressive? I don't think so. But he was only 21 years old by the time he completed his third season. I'm not defending Yamal because I'm not even a fan of him but saying now that no matter what he will never be able to reach their level makes no sense, how could you know? I tend to see Lamine Yamal as a closer like of Christiano Ronaldo's early football career right from his days at sporting down to his first stint at Manchester United. Ronaldo did not score more goals in his first arrival at Manchester United because he was more of a midfielder and later a winger in his career. He was more interested in entertaining fans with his skills than scoring the goals since he had more goal scorers back then in the team until when he arrived at real Madrid and discovered the club needed more goals than his flamboyant skills. Lamine Yamal can be like Ronaldo or achieve better but the question is, for how long will he remain consistent? Ronaldo is a very lucky and disciplined player who set his goals clear from the beginning and he has followed it. Yamal is still young and undoubtedly talented, so yeah he has a long way to go and can achieve as mighty as Ronaldo. Hansi flick has already started testing his as a false 9 during trainings, maybe over time he will still become more goal conscious in addition with his skills and many assists. Infact, Yamal is going to do so well and he also looks fit for a long-term career project. I wouldn't say that Ronaldo was "lucky": I've been following football for 30+ years, I don't recall a single player with the same obsession and dedication like Ronaldo's. He is not a professional, he is a super professional, he is behind his condition all the time. Maybe the only players who could get close to him were Javier Zanetti and Pavel Nedved, but I still feel like Ronaldo's mentality is unmatched.

Yamal is not just a good player, he is an impresive player, in my opinion in the next few years we will see a new dualism between two very champions like Ronaldo Messi was, but between Yamal and another footballer, i most likely think it will be mbappe if it breaks the deadlock, but we will definitely see Yamal among the two contenders.
A rivalry like that between Ronaldo and Messi isn't something you see very often in football. I don't think we'll see a rivalry like that happening again in the years to come. I'm not saying that Yamal is a bad player; he's actually impressive. But comparing his potential rivalry with other young players to that of Ronaldo and Messi is a bit premature. Their rivalry was something else entirely - it was the kind of rivalry you very rarely witness. That's why we're so fortunate to be the generation that witnessed the rivalry between those two players.

Although I have not done research on it, I speculate that the rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi has been the longest and most intense fight for supremacy. Both players were unfortunate to exist and play football at thesame time. Pele and others were exceptional players who had little or no rivalry. Ronaldo and Messi were the most exceptional players in thier generation. Their supporters act like cultists. They are so dedicated to protecting the interests of Ronaldo or Messi that they can fight to protect their role model.

It's true, I think we were very privileged to live in the same era as Messi and Cristiano. The new stars still have a long way to go, and it will be very difficult for them to take Messi and Cristiano's place. Before, the best were Maradona and Pelé; now it's Cristiano and Messi. Lamine, Mbappé, Haaland, and other players who are gaining fame are just emerging. They have more to come and more to prove to us, but it won't be easy for them to surpass our current stars.

But my thinking is like Ronaldo and Messi were almost the same age and when they started their careers. There was not a gap of many years. But Yamal's career is just beginning. At this moment, it would have been more exciting if someone close to his age or who had started his career since the last world cup was his rival. Mbappé is older than Yamal and has many great achievements in his career. Currently, his performance is not as good as before. On the other hand, it would be wrong to say that Messi and Ronaldo's rivalry was limited to their individual performance. They even played for Barcelona and Real Madrid in club football for a long time, where both teams were very competitive teams and the two best players were in their teams. their position at that time was one of the best. And this kind of football rivalry has never been seen before. Now we may have to wait a few more years to find Yamal's real rival.

Because I understand you are talking about Mbappé, right? How can you say his performances are not so good? He scores in almost every single match, if it wasn't for him probably Real Madrid wouldn't even qualify for a Champions League spot. He is an individualistic player, I'll give you that, but you can't criticize Mbappé: he must scores and he does it.

Lamine, Mbappé, Haaland, and other players who are gaining fame are just emerging. They have more to come and more to prove to us, but it won't be easy for them to surpass our current stars. Football has always had great stars, adored by fans, not just Pele or Maradona. In the past, we also had great players and stars like Puskas, Eusebio, Di Stefano, Platini, Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Zidane, etc. It's wonderful that new football stars will appear in the future and that future generations of fans will enjoy their games and goals, that is the beauty of football. At the next world cup, 2030, I expect the most from Mbappe, Haaland and Yamal, but it is possible that some new great football player will appear to mark that world cup. It's obvious that football is becoming an increasingly fast-paced and explosive sport, focused on results and profit, and less on enjoying the game and the fans, and that World Cups are becoming increasingly professional and slowly financially inaccessible to ordinary fans.

in fact i don't think we'll see it for a very long time, these players are phenomenal and made of a different stuff than the others, they gave life to an incredible dualism, they had the ability to keep their name high for years by winning everything they could win, truly amazing, i don't think we'll be able to see something like this again.

He is an individualistic player, I'll give you that, but you can't criticize Mbappé: he must scores and he does it. Mbappe is a player that’s good especially in scoring goals but comparing players is what I don’t always like because their are several factors that contribute to a player’s success or downfall and one may be the player himself, his inability to manage and maximize the support given to him and also injury can be another factor and the last factor is the team, Yamal is one of the players that made Barcelona’s project become a success and he has been very impressive and you see Real Madrid on the other hand have been struggling with coach for some seasons now and when we talk about last season alone, you will see Mbappe striving despite the problems the team was facing last season and you can see his efforts made a lot of difference in most games, but because he didn’t win or went far in the champions league or win the league or world cup with his team or country doesn’t mean we should write a player like him off. So there are situations that reveal a players talent and place him on a world class level regardless of his position in the team but his brilliance alone cannot win the title, modern day football is about teamwork and not depending on personal talents alone
