My .02 on the bots and price manipulators: I have rented from nicehash from time to time for over 6 months now. I set my price and never adjust it up. The bots will set multiple orders for different prices and make their orders go dead once you get above their highest one. I highly suspect it is the sellers doing this to raise the amount they earn. If you wait and watch you will see their order go dead about every 10 minutes when they realize you are not going to increase yours. Every time I have rented it has been filled within 24 hours and I never fell for their antics.
There's nothing manipulative about it. That's business, and we all want to raise the amount we earn. Every time the BTC diff changes both my minimum order price for hashing and the price I will pay for hash change to the value that's profitable for me, and if it's profitable for someone else too they can take me up on it. If someone is mining alts then the diff changes much faster and they have to mess around with the prices constantly, but I don't think that's worth my time.

I am wondering that so many miners are accepting prices below ( e.g. -6%) current difficulty payout rate?! They can get better and same steady at most PPS pools...

So in such situations, you can try Bitin.io . Try to add it as an alternative to ShapeShift in your faq, so people can use either if them or atleast when ShapeShift is down or is busy. -MZ

Hi, We developed and released under open source a simple NiceHash/WestHash order management bot as a standalone Windows application. This bot has two main purposes: 1- to ease management of your orders on NiceHash/WestHash by automating some common operations which you would else have to carry out manually; 2- to provide a basic platform for further development by anyone who would like to extend this bot into fully featured bot with automatic mining of most profitable coins. Please note that this bot is an not-intrusive bot and will manage orders the same way as manually operated orders. Furthermore it will enable users who wish to sustain medium and long running orders with auto-price adjustment, auto-refill and auto-recreate (if needed). NiceHashBot is available here: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashBot/, feel free to use it and extend it with your own requirements. If you encounter any issues or if you have any feature requirement please post it here: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashBot/issuesp.s.: stay tuned for other additional NiceHash features such as fixed and dynamic orders which are coming soon Kind regards, NiceHash.

I've been reading this thread but being new in nicehash I have not fully understood the option "set price". I see for exemple orders until 0.022 and when I put as pass p=0.015 the miners get "dead", but if I put the X pass they work. This means that in the price 0.015 and above the orders are complete and I can not sell mining? How do I know the mining price I'm selling or mining value at the time? If I'm not selling am I mining as in a btc pool?
Thanks!

If you enter p=.015 in cgminer as password and the current nicehash payout drops below that then your miner will see nicehash as dead and start mining the second pool in cgminer conf. Currently everyone should be setting p= to .0121 because otherwise you can mine at current difficulty .0121/GH Day.

Does anyone have a good stable config for Keccak algo on the 280x using the multi-algo autoswitching sgminer? I keep getting at least 20% reject due to Job Not Found and a lot of stale shares as well. Never been able to figure this one out. All the other algos are working fine for me except Keccak.
Thanks!

Is anyone mining Westhash with a KncMiner Titan? I tried Westhash for about 24 hours and the hashrate was ok at app 330 MH/s but cgminer was showing 5.2% reject rate. Any way to get the reject rate down?
Thanks,

Try to use extranonce subscription and also try to set a custom difficulty(neither high nor lower). See https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs9 for difficulty table. P.S. Have you tried BFGMiner? -MZ

Replace pools with the multi-algo pool settings. After that, the configuration is stable. Try it and report here. Hope it works! { "pools" : [ { "name" : "some backup pool", "url" : "stratum+tcp://x11-backup-pool:3333", "user" : "user", "pass" : "pass", "nfactor" : "number", "algorithm" : "algo" } ], "failover-only" : true, "failover-switch-delay" : "300", "queue" : "0", "intensity" : "13", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "256", "kernel" : "scrypt", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "8192", "shaders" : "2048", "api-port" : "4028", "auto-fan" : true, "expiry" : "120", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "gpu-platform" : "0", "gpu-threads" : "2", "gpu-engine" : "1080,1080,1080,1080", "gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500,1500,1500", "gpu-powertune" : "0", "log" : "5", "no-pool-disable" : true, "queue" : "0", "scan-time" : "30", "scrypt" : true, "shares" : "0", }

Hello All, newbie question: Where can I find a (good) description of using nicehash (with miningpoolhub or any other) profitably (i.e. with a plus, not a huge minus), as a buyer of hashing power? The explanations or FAQs on the website are absolutely not sufficient for a newbie. How should I estimate how much to bid and what about the limit for GH/s ? Why does it stop when I don't limit it? Why do I have to set it manually to lower? No limit should include all lower values, if I remember my math right? (Or is it not an upper limit?) And again: How do I generate more income then cost? I made a big loss (relative, not absolute in my first order attempt... ) Thanks

Have you tried BFGMiner? -MZ Wrong info from me about the mining software. The Titan uses bfgminer v 5.0.0 so extranonce isn't an issue. Based on what the Westhash site recommends for difficulty I used 32768 which is the recommendation for a hashrate of 64MHs - 128MHs, although I'm over that at app 330-350 MH/s, but the 64 - 128 MH/s is the highest range on their chart. After 6 hours with that difficulty my hashrate is way lower than I get elsewhere (327 vs 340+ at clevermining) and rejects is at 6.8, so that difficulty isn't the answer. I keep hearing (actually only from Nicehash/Westhash people) that the Titan works on Nicehash/Westhash and gets 350 MH/s with low rejects, etc but every time I try it I get lower hashrate and high rejects. I'll probably head back to clevermining - where my return might be very slightly less - but I can set the miner and forget it and get a high hashrate and low rejects.

You will have to set #xnsub and #skipcbcheck manually, i.e., your pool url will be stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333/#xnsub#skipcbcheck . Based on what the Westhash site recommends for difficulty I used 32768 which is the recommendation for a hashrate of 64MHs - 128MHs, although I'm over that at app 330-350 MH/s, but the 64 - 128 MH/s is the highest range on their chart.
Try to set the difficulty to 16384 - d=16384 . You can set the difficulty you like, you don't want to put the difficulty they recommended. If this is also not working, don't set any difficulty, just mine without difficulty parameter(d=X). After 6 hours with that difficulty my hashrate is way lower than I get elsewhere (327 vs 340+ at clevermining) and rejects is at 6.8, so that difficulty isn't the answer.

Please do what I say and check whether it is okay! -MZ Thanks for the additional feedback. I've been using the #xnsub and #skipbccheck all along based on a posting/recommendation on the KNCMiner forum on 1/10/15 which said the following: We suggest you to use #xnsub AND #skipcbcheck parameters to get stable mining on NiceHash or WestHash, example:
stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com/#xnsub#skipcbcheck
With those settings you'll be able to get a stable 350 Mh/s average speed with fw 1.95 overclocking at 325MHs.** And the poster posted this screenshot https://www.nicehash.com/imgs/KnC_Titan_NiceHash.png as "proof" but to me that looks like 320 MH/s over 1253 hours, not 350 and what looks like 0.00% rejects . Based on the screenshot, about an hour ago I tried 16384 and I'm currently at an effective hashrate of 327 MH/s with a reject rate of 6.5% so I still apparently haven't located the secret decoder combination of settings which will get me mining at app 340-350 with a reject rate of around 1-2%.

Did you ping the websites nicehash and westhash? Which is closer to you? Use the closer one and try again. Try decreasing the difficulty again or with no difficulty parameter.
