Vertcoin is forking to a new mining algo, a modified lyra2re.
Will you add a new algo or replace the old one (or none of the two)?

Huh, these guys at Vertcoin are really fanatic with those algo forks Wink ... we'll take a look at it and we'll probably add the new algo.
Has the new lyra2re algo been implemented on nicehash yet? I'm currently mining with the old one.
HARDFORK --

The old algo is mining on a bogus fork.  The new algo gets rejects on NiceHash.  People are paying for bogus hash.

We are in process of implementing the new algorithm Lyra2REv2, we have to implement a new validator and test to make sure everything works fine. We never rush on adding new algorithms before things are stabilized and tested. Of course, the original Lyra2RE algorithm will stay and there is nothing wrong with it - there are several other coins, besides Vertcoin, that are still using the original version of Lyra2RE. And to make clear - Lyra2RE algorithm hasn't forked, only Vertcoin (the coin itself) has forked to new algorithm Lyra2REv2.

Thank you for using our service and kind regards,
NiceHash team

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION--

I apologize, I did not consider "Lyra2v2" as just another algorithm.  However, many miners are confused as to why they get nothing but rejects when attempting to mine with the latest VertCoin software.       --scryptr

I'm using NiceHashBot, and it seems to always go up to the max price I set on my rentals, even though it IS configured correctly and is the latest version.

Like now, it has moved up to pay rate of 0.0098BTC(MAX) (SHA256) even though orders are being filled at 0.0094?

It seems to be working again. It just dropped back down a bit.

Nothing wrong there... sometimes higher reject rate, but without accepted drop, that is probably due to diffbug in cgminer software or temporary connection issues.

Funny when a proxy doesn't even know what they are talking about ...

1) Discards have nothing to do with Rejects
2) There's no way in hell the minor adjustment of the diff could in any way result in a high Reject rate

I was referring to rejects that were displayed on the graph, not to discards.

It is added, but as for the previous coins, you have to explicitly enable it since by default the factor is set to f14=0, therefore you have to add "...;f14=7.0" to the stratum password config line to all of your NiceHash pool definitions.

Excellent work - changed my rigs to the lyra2rev2 algo and all seems to be functioning OK

hello guys im comfused my miner say 8 you guys say 4 so i pulled out

To what exactly are you referring with 8 / 4 ?

Eth pool would be nice thanks guys Cool

We are already doing research on it, but eth is not using stratum, therefore the integration to NiceHash will need more work.

Try official https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-lyra/releases/ ... maybe the issue is with the difficulty multiplier (128 vs 256).

There has been a 'fuck up' regarding Lyra2REv2 diff multiplier. Different miners have different values. We decided to use 256, because it was working with official vertcoin pool and reported correct hashrate there.
