Does anybody see the 8.5 BTC buy order at 0.00009823.

Currently buying 85000 contracts.

CRAZY!

Why is this crazy?

  • 3% of available BBR supply bought for 8.5 BTC ($1900 at today's prices)

At today's rate,

  • 3% of available XMR supply costs 220 BTC
  • 3% of available DRK supply costs 1225 BTC

Exactly 5 months ago,

  • 8.5 BTC (worth around $4000 at the time) would not have bought 8.5k BBR, let alone 85k BBR.

I guess one man's crazy is another man's calculated gamble...

it's a bit strange to me that we get these big volume spikes every two weeks or so followed by basically no activity. and without much news or discussion in the thread i have to wonder who's willing to drop 2 grand on BBR in one go.

i'm not saying it's not a good longterm investment, of course, but with the volume being the way it is, if someone was accumulating they could just as easily put the 9 BTC at 8000 and gotten 25% more BBR over the timespan of a few weeks.

just something i've noticed  Smiley

No, it wasn't me - but I can see why someone might want to stock up on BBR at these prices.

Boolberry OpenCL solo/pool miner mandatory update

There is a hardcoded 64M scratchpad size in my OpenCL miners. We are getting close to the limit. There are 2-3 weeks before we reach it. I increased the size to 256M in the update. It should not be a problem for any modern GPU.

I think its the same person buying and selling to himself to attract attention to the coin.

Look at the transactions.

The entire order filled in pretty much 2 large orders.

I seriously doubt its the same person per say, but rather a team of 2 or more people. Most likely, as you already stated, to bring attention and to cause a spike up.

I know who it was and you can all put your conspiracy theories to rest.  It was simply someone who believes that 85,000 BBR for <$2000 is an incredible long term investment with the soon to be launched SuperNet and the fact that bitcoin is 14 months closer to ending its bear market than it was when the bear market started.

Buy when there is blood in the streets.

...and actually I think their purchase was more like 95k as they made I purchase prior to erecting the wall.

By the way, for Scruffy or CZ - James just posted this in SuperNet slack:

I invited roman here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B75gaqtEgDR8UHU2UVJ6TkYzMnRkdFFsbklBd3hVMDV1eDQw/view?pli=1
he is selecting which cryptonote to add smart contracts too
I think BBR is the logical choice

Noob question:
I'm trying to solo mine using the command provided on the BoolBerry site (booldb --start-mining=<WALLET_ADDRESS> --mining-threads=<NUMBER_OF_CORES>). It appear to be working but the details/output in the shell isn't what I was expecting. I've previoulsy been mining to a pool and within the CLI shell I could see the hash rate of each thread and other details, which I assuming was communication between my miner and the pool. However, now I'm solo mining, I'm not seeing any info relating to my hash rate? My CPU's are flat out so I'm assuming they're working but how do I know if the miner is working properly?

I dont think "idiot" would match to describe the action but rather smart and diligent people doing raising their holding of both BBR and BTC. If only I knew who they are I would like to join in.   Grin

Who's Roman?

Some guy who claimed that he could add smart contracts to cryptonotes, but someone would have to pay him a whole bunch of coins for whatever cryptonote wanted to have smart contracts, and then his original thread got deleted after some criticism, but apparently he has a new one here:

I read the document, but I suppose it will be succeed if the kartel got majority percentage of coins supply, now how will they got commitment for supply ?  It is kartel game like people do with commodities like oil, iron, copper etc.

1 miner threads started, using 'wildkeccak' algorithm.[/i]

Same with me , I have been unable to use that cpuminer version too. But there is boolberr-easy-miner 1.1 that works flawlessly either using gpu or cpu, you just need to change the wallet addres file(the one with *.txt extension) with yours if you dont want to use autogenerated wallet.

Oh, great to hear it works for you with both cpu and gpu! I hadn't received much feedback about that. About your other question, to become a large part of the network, you would need much more hashrate to get a more stable block rate.

Hi clintar, if you dont mind i have a question how to implement gpu intensity in boolberry solo mining, i tried to add "intensity" : 11 in mine.conf but seems doesnt work.

The new Boolberry opencl solo miner works fine, I found 2 blocks yesterday. Great work ! Thank you.
