Guess this answers the question if Boolberry is still a SuperNET coin:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114915/what-debate-nxt-votes-unanimously-to-add-coin-mixing-anonymity

Ring sigs so much better than mixing. Idiots.

The article states that NXT is going to use coin mixing, not SuperNET. Unless NXT and SuperNET are somehow linked... Are they?

The common denominator is jl777. Anything to benefit NXT will in turn benefit SuperNET and vice versa.

Proof that BBR is still going to be an important part of supernet (from today):

bbreconomy
how is teleport integration doing?
bbreconomy
many cryptonote fans are excited about its inclusion in supernet
bbreconomy
I think a lot of monero believers will join supernet too if bbr is included soon
bbreconomy
it has a nice gui already unlike xmr and supernet is creating a nice economy
jl777
some details of the teleport have changed, but once it is finalized, then there will be a specific task for the BBR to perform
jl777
I am envisioning a trustless mixing using BBR ringsigs, so to combine teleport, mixing and ring sigs
bbreconomy
thanks jI777. glad to know you still plan to feature BBR for ring sigs

It is unreasonable to expect users to jump through proprietary hoops like Slack in order to obtain updates about a project previously promoted publicly.

Many months after jl777's announcement, BBR integration is still in the "envisioning" stage.  Just like everything else to do with SuperNet...lots of vaporware and visions but nothing real and working to show for it.

Not entirely vaporware, in terms of BBR at least:

CZ mentioned a while back that the integration was done on the BBR side and that appears to be the case:

So is the BBR community interested in a merger with AEON? Are coin mergers even possible with opaque blockchains?

Coin mergers are technically possible, but challenging to implement, and would require a consensus of both communities (since both would need to adopt a hard fork, and both would need to agree on things like the ratio of old coins to new coins (even if 1:1).

As I said earlier its not something I plan to put time into, especially given the political challenges of it ever coming to pass in practice even if a lot of work went into it given the previous paragraph. But if others want to undertake the herculean task of making it happen, I won't stand in the way.

Yes CZ has indeed done a lot of work.

Regarding a potential merger with AEON I think a decision would be easier if the community knew for sure what CZ has planned

I will support whatever the majority of the BBR community decides

In terms of what needs to be done......

I think the community can help right now by contacting merchants.  We have a lot of users that I am sure are eager to spend their BBR. Having a fully functional GUI will make that easy.

We could start by contacting merchants who highly value the privacy of their users.

I think bounties would be very reasonable (perhaps for both the merchant and the person who signed them up).

I do not want to be involved in collecting donations or awarding the bounties myself.  Do we have any trusted community members that can assume that role?

Bounties for building technology or creating new services that benefit BBR, I understand.
Bounties for marketing and promotion activity that build the BBR brand, I get.
Sweeteners for merchant adoption I'm dubious of.

What merchants did you have in mind? And if the use case is valid (i.e. a win/ win for merchant and their customer base), why the need to pay anyone a bounty?

I tend to agree with you that sweeteners for merchant adoption are not ideal.  Perhaps we should start by encouraging anyone in this thread who owns a business to start accepting BBR.

For those outside of our community the sales pitch will be slightly more difficult since we will have to convince them that accepting BBR will either lead to increased sales from new customers or improved satisfaction from existing privacy focused customers.

We can start small. Perhaps someone wants to create and sell BBR branded tshirts to community members. Then we could target VPN services that already accept BTC (they have many customers who care about privacy). If we could convince shapeshift.io to add us that could really help us as well.

Setting up an online store to sell branded BBR t-shirts/ apparel I can look into... I know a couple of people that do that stuff. I also have a few ideas around t-shirt design.

Anyone in contact with Bitcrea? I'll need large high quality images of the logo - assuming no-one objects to me using the brand/ going down this route.

I'll look to sell apparel for fiat however offer substantial discounts for those purchasing with BBR. Start small and see where it leads.

How is the store coming along? Lets start a thread on http://www.reddit.com/r/boolberry and discuss it

I have some exciting ideas, but it is important for the entire community to get more involved.

Having looked into it, I'm unconvinced an on-line t-shirt store moves BBR forward much (at this stage).

I am however working on a web app (for non- crypto people) that (if pulled off right) will boost Boolberry's profile significantly. Still at a proof of concept stage, will report back when I have something tangible to share.

So far there has not been much focus on marketing. Most of the crypto community still has no idea how important the Boolberry cryptonote innovations are.

Once the wold finds out about us we will gain traction quickly. Our rational emission schedule is welcoming to newcomers unlike some other coins whose names I need not mention here.

IMO, Boolbery needs exposure on exchange(s) on which it can be converted directly from/to fiat, such as https://hitbtc.com/
E.g., them XDN regularly get 80-90% of volume from hitbtc.

Anyone can vote for it once a day at https://hitbtc.com/vote
