So to my knowledge everything has been updated? Please let me know if i have overlooked any other places. I have sent a few other requests to host or post info about OC via the Twatter.

Well done, raven, as always. Smiley
I think that's it for now, I'm going to be adding more stuff to the website when I get a chance to sit down and invest a few hours. Once I do that, I'll find out exactly what else we need to get updated from our old infrastructure.

@Jan Maybe i can contact the University to find out the researcher and project managers who made that awesome map of our tree canopy....

But for now lets get back to OC!   Grin Grin

I will PM you Jan if i find out anything else.
Okay send me PM.
Back to Orange.

Is there a plan for application of OC?
This community is still active and I pass by now and then.
Found here a nice Block Explorer i have now also for EnergyCoin.
Is the masternode feature working for OC or is that not active?
People here running also VPS node and is ther a Raspberry-PI wallet and an MacOSX version?

Currently, we don't have a plan yet. But as things continue to progress, we will find something to work towards.
Masternodes were not coded in,
It would definitely be awesome for OC to have a Mac, linux, and a Pi wallet. The Pi wallet is a new suggestion, I wonder what the demand is for this. Smiley
A MacOSX wallet most you only 20$.
Contact MystPhysX i orders For EnergyCoin and StakeCoin.
Maybe he can also compile UNIX and Raspberry-PI and he can offer a web wallet with VPS-node (1BTC for one year).
I can ask my developer but it took him some time for the EnergyCoin PI het works not for free.
I shall tip MystPhysX to take a look here.
CU

Cool deal. We should check with soopy first, to make sure he's not doing any of this already. We don't want to step on toes.
But thank you very much for the info lead. Smiley Smiley
Let me know if you guys want anything.
Some update from my side.
Check my post in EnergyCoin topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1028941.msg12052823#msg12052823
With the PI we can run the 3 wallets together and give extra rewards for staking.

I've PM'd soopy to find out what he has in store.
Can you define "extra rewards" please? I think you mean just getting the proper stake from those 3 coins, but idk if you mean we'd get extra coins on top of what should be minted. Sorry, just want to be certain.

Cheers!

If that's the case, again it's about inflation.. Why do we want to produce more supply? POS already does this, why make it 3x more, just to make the currency worth 30x less? Honestly that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Raven

Cheers!

That's where I was coming from. I think it's just the way he worded it, but let's be sure.

Addition: Now if there is an additional service we'd need to buy into (for example: a token) then more PoS would be ok but it would have to reflect the price of the token and find a happy balance.

No it is more simple.
For EnergyCoin I get 5000 ENRG PoS per day and that I want to redistribute via lottery for small holders.
OrangeCoin can do the same or are here no bag-holders?
For StakeCoin the same and my developer can create that feature.
In a Rapberry-PI we can combine the 3 coins and application.

Wait I JUST Read this..... so you're going to add 1,825,000 Coins to the table every year @ 5000x365 assuming you're stating accurate numbers if not, its an estimate then..... and that's NOT counting the influx of the POS going up so like 5000 one day, 5001 the next, 5002 so on and so on.

Halo, Soopy is there a way to find out the inflation rate base upon who's staked and who's lost wallets?

Here's the basics:
http://inflationdata.com/inflation/Inflation_Articles/CalculateInflation.asp

Problem is, we don't know who's wallets are really lost, or just offline -- including the old large amounts.

Couldn't we go off of the number of days inactive? Like before we were noticing wallets with an age of 400+ days. And how old exactly is OC?

I've investagate this for EnergyCoin

We have about 10% long time offline and 20% stored on Bittrex.
The sleeping wallets can wake up every moment owner see posibility for profit.
The offline wallets only missing the compound effect and coins stored on Bitterx have no effect on the inflation.

Quote
Specs for EnergyCoin:
Algorithm: Scrypt POS/PoW Hybrid (No PoW Reward)
Max Coins: 110 Million and yearly interests.
Year 1: 10% interest
Year 2: 8%
Year 3: 6%
Year 4: 4%
Year 5: 2%
Next : 1%

Block Time: 30 seconds
Confirmations: 3 to confirm tx
Stake age: minimum 1 day to stake coins
So for EnergyCoin 116M - 21.7M = 94.3M coins in stake with 8% rate is total 102m + 21.7 = 123.5M next year (excluding compount effect and coins for Bitterx)
As a developer I can change the PoS-reward if needed for future applications.
So every moment sleping wallets can wake up and begin to stake.

This is fantastic information Jan!

Halo. Can we crunch some numbers as well to see what we come up with..... Also for "Sleeping Wallets" Some nodes might have multiple Wallets.... Like me for example i have a Wallet with two addresses.. One is EMPTY. So if we can take that in to consideration as well that'd be awesome and give us more precise numbers.

Also I have been blowing up twitter and Reddit about OC! we should all do our part, and PR the SH1T out of this.

Is intrest for a raspberryPI project together with EnergyCoin, StakeCoin and OrangeCoin?
Check my posts what I have in mind.

You guys are talking about POS REWARDS.

An increase in POS rewards, over a limited period of time will increase DEMAND and PRICE of ORANGECOIN.

If you check coin control, you'll get the actual wallet keys your coins are in. Sometimes PoS sends your coins to a "child" address. The parent address is what you see as your main address, but dig a little deeper. Or resend your coins to yourself but after you finished staking them so you don't lose any maturing time. Wink

John you are right, BUT if the limited time is (for example:) 2 weeks, then you will be right for the first week, then we will see dumping. More alt-coin PoS rewards only devalues a currency against btc. Just look at the extreme example of 10k coin. People want to make profit off of rare coins and will dump free ones.

If we want more value, price and demand, we have to build this coin the right way with usage and services.
