@saddambitcoin, @myagui, thank you for your replys. It turned out I did make a new address at mymonero. I guess I'll have to take a better care of my stash. Is there an exponential term for Ambarresed? I'm getting old....

I dread the day I'm so old I don't recognize my age related failures. I have a sneaking suspicion it's closer than I think. Smiley

Yes, I stumbled upon the private key while checking my old files. Do you know the feeling when you put on an old jeans and you find some washed spare change in the pocket? Well, spare change just got a new meaning for me Smiley

Help pls: While synching a refresh Monero installation on my RPi, I am receiving the following warning:

"[P2P8]WARNING: All MoneroPulse checkpoint URLs failed DNSSEC validation and/or returned no records"

Is that standard or something odd going on?

ADD: Sync is running for 3 days now..

Hello, How i can import MyMonero wallet into Linux native wallet?
you can't import a 13 words seed (from mymonero) into simplewallet. it's not implemented for now. (it will be but no ETA)
the code is written but in wait.

https://github.com/warptangent/bitmonero/commit/35b1500536a98e02ea459ca6ccb42e8248de43a8
^^^
There is the code to restore a MyMonero wallet to simplewallet. Finding the right way to add it to master is the trick (as the derivation is a bit different to simplewallet) - do we stick to the current long-mnemonic derivation, and then use the MM derivation for short-mnemonics? Or do we provide a short version of the current long-mnemonic derivation, plus an extra short derivation for MyMonero-style keys?

Until we figure out the most appropriate way to integrate this it'll sit in this commit, but it can ALWAYS be integrated and released by any number of the 25 Monero core contributors in the event of MyMonero's sudden and unexpected demise:)

NB: and to be precise, you can import a 25 words seed (from simplewallet) into mymonero but it's not your question.

You can ignore that - the .co zone seems to have choked on the MoneroPulse records: http://dnssec-debugger.verisignlabs.com/checkpoints.moneropulse.co, and the code is taking that as a hard fail instead of ignoring it as a soft fail (and getting records from the other 3). The rest of the MoneroPulse records are fine:

http://dnssec-debugger.verisignlabs.com/checkpoints.moneropulse.org
http://dnssec-debugger.verisignlabs.com/checkpoints.moneropulse.net

well now its not an easter egg anymore Smiley

NOOB ALERT: If you don't know what moneropulse is, its some sort of checkpoint feature that seems to have been added in response to the block 20-something something attack.

I think it was more precisely developed "against" the BCX alledged exploits. Thus the "timewarp-again.moneropulse.se." Cheesy

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

From this we can also determine that it is possible to enumerate all the view keys, but as the key space is 2256 it's not possible unless you have more processing power than all the energy in the universe, and more time than the universe has existed.

Monero is broken OMG found a flaw !! Grin

Oh god, there's just so much cryptography and blockchains, I mean how can you even expect to run a secure, auditable cryptocurrency with both cryptography and blockchains?
