I am currently downloading the blockchain on mac, but once thats done, if i follow the below... will it work?

git clone https://github.com/tewinget/bitmonero.git bitmonero-db
cd bitmonero-db
git checkout blockchain
make release
cd build/release/bin
./blockchain_converter

it should work, but there's no reason to use tewinget's branch, as all of his work is pretty much in the main thinger now. (so if you did the above git clone with just the primary bitmonero repository)

in other words,

git clone https://www.github.com/monero-project/bitmonero.git

WAIT - mac. I don't know if it will work. There's been some Mac compiling issues, but they may have been ironed out by now? Ya never know till you try.

this just went live https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/pull/286

and yes, the db is in the main branch already, no need to use the test one.

Can confirm, OS X compilation fixed (my primary work platforms are OS X and FreeBSD, so I'm normally quick to find / fix issues there...Windows notsomuch)

Don't worry I am not gonna provide full changelog with every update announcement. I showed the whole links in this post, to show the concept, organisation of the content and (possible) benefits of this website/"community ressource". (Which was maybe not clear to everyone at the first announcement, when very few content was added.)

I hope some people like it. So they personally & the community in general can benefit (a tiny bit), from having all the project-related media content available, when needed.

Please contribute missing content and feedback.

Next steps:
- finding regular contributors
- adding upload a formular, that works with hosting directly at GitHub
- transfering xmr.biz-domain to the project leadership (in case I die or go to jail)

I wish more people had their XMR address as their signature. I really like to donate to people who I think are being proactive in the community by either helping newcomers or doing something productive for our cause.
You wont get a tip if I can't find a way to send it to you Cool

I wish more people had their XMR address as their signature. I really like to donate to people who I think are being proactive in the community by either helping newcomers or doing something productive for our cause.
You wont get a tip if I can't find a way to send it to you Cool
Thank you, I updated my profile with the wanted information. OpenAlias is cool, wanted to try that before a long time. Your message motivated me.

I am happy some people like the service. I pray Monero gets some traction and in some months/years, we can build serious, useful Monero-based companies and live our ideals. (While doing something positive to mankind.) There is so much potential in Monero und so much money wasted in fuck projects & companies, inside and outside the crypto scene. (Most funded internet startups in Germany are so bad & worthless it's embarrassing.) Success is driven by passion, I can't remember any other project or technology with so many real passionated and intelligent people, then Monero.

We should get the forum signatures that someone made a couple weeks ago on your site. I can't find the page they are posted in but it's the orange ones that say Getmonero.com etc... there were a bunch of different ones that looked great. I think it would help for signature campaigning

Oh that's pretty interesting
