^^ Option to allow plugins for XMR.to and ShapeShift.io, wow!!
So because it would allow shapeshift, does that mean the GUI would be able to hold Bitcoin too? No it means you could enter a BTC address and pay using the XMR in your wallet via xmr.to or shapeshift. Potentially, I suppose a plug in to hold BTC is not out of the question but that is not the originally envisioned use case. Very good thought.

Oh ok, I just assumed shapeshift would be used as a way of buying monero through the GUI, since XMR.to does the conversion of XMR->BTC already.

A wallet that handles seamlessly handles spending/converting/hodling BTC and XMR is a great idea, because they are complementary. Ideally, it needs the i2p thingy too! And integrated MoneroDice gambling, of course! Perhaps even OpenBazaar? We're headed in that direction. We'll get there. At the rate good ideas get are getting funded, we'll have a Monero blimp over next year's SuperBowl.

Has anyone got a rough estimation how much H/s a PowerColor Radeon R9 390X2 Devil 13 dual GPU with 16 GB ram could possibly make stock / overclocked?

The plugin concept is that one can add a plugin for a service such as shapeshift.io or changer.com that would allow one to spend XMR into any of the currencies offered by the service. That would mean not just XBT but other currencies including dare I say for example DASH. Supporting all the different currencies as full node in one wallet is an entirely different issue. Edit: This functionality is potentially very powerful. It reminds me of what Microsoft did in the early 1990's with Windows 3.1.

aiwe, great job on the graphics! Do you have links to where we can download high-quality versions of each (300-dpi jpg, or .psd)?
I will attach vector images on Trello Just a suggestion - I think it will look better with the red and blue swapped.

Oh ok, I just assumed shapeshift would be used as a way of buying monero through the GUI, since XMR.to does the conversion of XMR->BTC already. I guess a simple "Buy Monero" plug in could provide instructions for buying Monero or maybe actually set up the trade with the shapeshift API (or another such service), having already filled in your XMR address for you. But actually sending the BTC or other form of payment would have to be done using a BTC, etc. wallet.

After Cryptsy (and maybe BTER based on this Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/43nivn/bter_holds_my_1800_xmr_since_20012016/), we need to be cautious when dealing with new exchanges.

This will ultimately have to come to the end user trusting the service and the plugin provider.

That didn't take long, what was it like 12 hours? Not bad for 14k XMR.

Nice! I will look forward to getting that up and running later this year. LMDB, Ring-CT, and plugin flexibility in a GUI. Maturing...

Like the minimum hardware required to run a full node and the target performance of such configuration. This is the example he gives for a Bitcoin node: For example, a min spec might look something like this:
Target hardware resource cost: $200 Target worst case time to validate a block: 10 seconds Minimum network I/O: 2 Mb/s Minimum disk I/O: 2 Mb/s Minimum CPU: 5,000 MIPS Minimum RAM: 1 GB
